Ex-Rangers ace 'set to follow' father's footsteps in next move
He's been without a club since departing Ibrox at the end of last season.
Reports have linked him with several clubs across the continent, with Legia Warsaw in Poland said to be one of the teams who have made an approach to Hagi.
According to media outlet Fanatik, the attacking midfielder could be getting closer to resolving his future.
That's because they claim he will follow in the footsteps of his legendary dad, Gheorghe, by moving to Istanbul as part of a mega-money deal.

This is where his father spent the end of his career, winning 10 trophies at Galatasaray. He also had two spells as their manager.
However, no club is named in the report, which means it's currently unknown whether Hagi Jnr will end up at Galatasaray like his old man, or if it'll be one of the four other Istanbul-based teams.
Fenerbahce, Besiktas, Basaksehir and Kasimpasa also play in the city.

British man dies after hair transplant operation in Turkey
A former assistant head teacher from Milton Keynes has died after getting a hair transplant operation in Istanbul. Martyn Latchman, 38, who left a 16-year career in teaching last year to become a defence contractor, died last week after becoming unwell during the preparatory phase of the £1,500 procedure. The clinic involved, Dr Cinik in the Besikitas area of the city, whose former clients included the former England and Manchester United footballer Rio Ferdinand, said it was not known why Latchman fell ill. He was transferred to an intensive care ward in a nearby university hospital but died later that day, the clinic confirmed. Turkish media said police had launched an investigation. Latchman's body has since been flown to the UK. A spokesperson for the Foreign Office said: 'We are supporting the family of a British man who died in Turkey and are in contact with the local authorities.' Until last December, Latchman, originally from Bridgend in south Wales, had been the assistant headteacher at Goldington academy in Bedford, where he was also head of computer science, according to his LinkedIn profile. His online posts suggest he regularly ran and worked out at gyms. Latchman's family and friends paid tribute to him on social media. Yashley Latchman posted a photograph of him working out with Martyn with the caption 'Rest in Peace my brother.' He wrote: 'You will forever be my source of inspiration and motivation. Thanks for everything. Will miss u loads.' Alain Latchman commented: 'Yes Yashley very sad. Too young.' Dr Cinik's website claims it has conducted more than 50,000 successful transplants. Its best known clients are international footballers. As well as Ferdinand, other former patients included the Croatian World Cup finalist Ivan Rakitić, the former France and Liverpool striker Djibril Cissé and the Brazilian World Cup winner Rivaldo. In a statement, the clinic said it was 'deeply saddened' by Latchman's death. It pointed out that he had a successful hair transplant last summer and had returned this year for a second procedure. Sign up to First Edition Our morning email breaks down the key stories of the day, telling you what's happening and why it matters after newsletter promotion The statement said: 'Prior to the second operation, all necessary medical evaluations and tests (including blood work, chest X-ray, ECG, etc) were carried out thoroughly and without omission, just as they were during the first procedure. 'These assessments were conducted under the supervision of an anaesthesiologist, and the patient was cleared for surgery. 'However, before the hair transplant procedure began and during the preparatory phase, the patient unexpectedly became unwell for reasons that are still unknown. 'Immediate medical intervention was provided, and he was urgently transferred to a fully equipped university hospital. Despite ongoing intensive care treatment throughout the day, the patient sadly passed away later that evening.' The statement added: 'Our clinic is an experienced medical institution that has performed over 70,000 hair transplant procedures to date. 'All relevant medical documentation related to this incident has been submitted to the appropriate authorities, and the matter is currently being investigated by judicial bodies.' It also denied reports in the Turkish media last week that Latchman died during the procedure or that the operation was interrupted. It added: 'The incident occurred before the hair transplant procedure had begun. Due to the ongoing legal process and out of respect for the family's privacy, no further details will be disclosed at this time.'

Kieran Dowell says opening day draw was a reality check for Rangers
Kieran Dowell described Rangers' 1-1 draw with Motherwell on Saturday as a 'reality check' after boss Russell Martin questioned the mentality of some players. It was not the start to the Premiership campaign that the new Gers boss or the travelling fans at Fir Park wanted, although it started positively when skipper James Tavernier headed in Joe Rothwell's 14th-minute corner. However, to the frustration of Martin and the Gers fans, the Ibrox side did not kick on and eventually succumbed to a spirited Well side in the 87th minute when Emmanuel Longelo drove in the equaliser. It is the third successive season that Rangers have failed to win their opening league game and afterwards Martin – who has to prepare his players for the first leg of the Champions League third qualifier against Viktoria Plzen at Ibrox on Tuesday night – lashed out at some players, talking about 'egos' and self-preservation'. Dowell, who spent the second half of last season on loan at Birmingham but who has started all three games under Martin, said: 'Not a big blow. It's a reality check. 'The first season I was here, we got beaten on the first day of the season 1-0 by Kilmarnock and it was in our hands by the end of the season. 'So it's a cliche, but it is a long season and there's plenty of time to catch up. 'But it's a few home truths (from Martin) I think. Obviously, we had a good start and then didn't put the game to bed. 'Almost sleep-walked into conceding that equaliser and probably deserved it in the end. 'I think the manager's been here five, six weeks now and that's what he's noticed. 'It's not been a successful time for the club and maybe we needed those sort of home truths, maybe some of the lads needed that. 'It's not for me to say. It's the manager's opinion and he said to us 'look yourself in the mirror'. 'And it's down to us, as players. We've obviously had a few managers now and it's up to us to prove it, if we want to be at this club going forward.' Motherwell boss Jens Berthel Askou, taking charge of his first game and a former team-mate of Martin at Norwich, was 'delighted' with his side's performance and believes it stands them in good stead for the future. He said: 'I think we already have confidence in what we're doing. I think we've been very effective with what we're doing, we want to be even more effective in terms of the chances we've created, but we've played some really good football in the pre-season. 'We've improved. We've played a very good (friendly) game against Hertha (Berlin) the other day, and this was a step up. 'It was a performance against a team and a club, who knows, might be in the Champions League in a couple of weeks from now. 'So we're really happy with the progress, with the confidence that there is in the team already, and for sure, this is going to push everyone in the right direction.' Rangers 'needed' Martin's home truths, says Dowell
Kieran Dowell says Rangers' opening day draw with Motherwell was a "reality check" for the Ibrox club. Russell Martin's side led for most of the game thanks to James Tavernier's header after 14 minutes. But an 87th minute equaliser from Motherwell's Emmanuel Longelo confined Martin's side to a draw, making it the third successive season Rangers have failed to win their opening game. Speaking after the game, the new manager criticised his side's performance and mentality. And Dowell thinks the boss was right to do so. "The first season I was here, we got beaten on the first day of the season 1-0 by Kilmarnock and it was in our hands by the end of the season," midfielder Dowell said. "So it's a cliche, but it is a long season and there's plenty of time to catch up."But it's a few home truths [from Martin] I think. Obviously, we had a good start and then didn't put the game to bed.
