KUWAIT CITY (WAM)His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait, received today at Bayan Palace, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, who is on an official visit to Kuwait.During the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to the Emir of Kuwait, along with his best wishes for the Emir's continued health and happiness, and for Kuwait's ongoing progress and prosperity.In turn, the Emir of Kuwait extended his greetings and well wishes to the UAE President and expressed hopes for ongoing prosperity for the UAE and its citizens.During the meeting, the Emir of Kuwait and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed explored various aspects of cooperation and joint initiatives between the UAE and Kuwait, with a focus on expanding opportunities in developmental and economic sectors.They emphasised that strengthening these areas would serve mutual interests and contribute to the well-being and advancement of both nations, reflecting the deep-rooted fraternal ties between them.The two sides also exchanged views on several regional and international matters of mutual concern. They reaffirmed their commitment to deepening cooperation and building upon their longstanding relations, founded on shared values, mutual respect, understanding, and joint interests.The talks were attended by a high-level UAE delegation, including Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Abdul Rahman bin Mohammad bin Nasser Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention and Minister of State for Federal National Council Affairs; Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology; Shamma bint Suhail Faris Al Mazrui, Minister of Community Empowerment; Sarah bint Yousif Al Amiri, Minister of Education; Abdullah bin Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi, Minister of Justice; Mohamed Hassan Al Suwaidi, Minister of Investment; Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, Minister of State; Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Executive Affairs Authority; Jassem Mohammed Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Finance – Abu Dhabi; Dr. Matar Hamed Al Neyadi, UAE Ambassador to Kuwait; Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior; and a number of other officials.From the Kuwaiti side, the meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait; Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of Kuwait; Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs; several Sheikhs; ministers, and top officials.Following the meeting, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah hosted a luncheon in honour of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed and his accompanying delegation.
Earlier today, His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed arrived in Kuwait, where an official reception ceremony was held in his honour.
