PURE EVIL Serial killer Joanna Dennehy was my evil stepmum… she was a sex-maniac who wanted us to 'perform' & rinsed my dad's cash
JOANNA Dennehy is one of the most dangerous women in the UK and 13 years ago, she was Dani Hitchcock's evil stepmother.
Now, Dani, who is from Peterborough and works in childcare, has bravely opened up on what it was really like to have a triple murderer in her life.

Dani was just 13-years-old when she first met her father's girlfriend at the time, Joanna Dennehy, 42, who then went on to murder three men and dump their bodies in ditches in Cambridgeshire in 2013.
Dani described Joanna as an 'evil stepmum,' who was far worse than ones you see 'in films.'
She claimed that when she first met Joanna, the family went on a trip to the cinema, but Dani acknowledged that her new stepmum barely said a word to her or her brothers.
Dani stressed she had a 'gut feeling straight away' that Joanna was 'not a very nice person,' as she voiced: 'That good impression was never set - [she was a] very cold person, didn't speak to us, didn't smile.'
Shortly after her breakup with Dani's dad in 2012, Joanna, from St Albans, Herts., murdered three men - Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, John Chapman, 56, and Kevin Lee, 48 - and stabbed two more before going on the run and posting pictures of herself holding a huge knife.
She was convicted of three counts of murder and two counts of attempted murder in November that year.
The court was told she was a diagnosed 'psychopath' with a 'lust for blood' who had been on probation for other offences when she went on her killing spree.
A judge called her "cruel, calculating, selfish, and manipulative" after a court heard of her murderous antics, which involved mutilating a corpse and squeezing the body into a sequined black dress.
Reflecting on the time Joanna was in her life, Dani described the killer as 'really awful' and 'so cold', with 'no motherly type of way about her.'
Not only this, but Dani believes that Joanna 'resented' her, as she shared: 'I don't think she liked me, she wanted to steal the spotlight that was meant to be on us, she wanted that for herself.'
I've looked dozens of serial killers in the eye… but psychotic Brit terrified me most
And not only did Dani get bad vibes from Joanna, who once described killing as "moreish and fun" and has become one of four women in the country to be sentenced to a whole life behind bars, but she also claimed that she would 'rinse' her dad, who was diagnosed with MS aged 30, for cash too.
Dani admitted: 'She would make sure that my dad would spend good money on her, and she would absolutely rinse him of his money - she liked that.'
Not only did Joanna spend her father's 'well-earned' cash on herself, but she would also make 'very inappropriate comments' too, as Dani confessed: 'She once said something along the lines of 'I'm just going to give this to your dad because I just want to make him like horny' - you don't say that to a 13-year-old.'
I got very dodgy vibes off her - she was so cold
Dani Hitchcock
Not only this, but shortly after her clip went viral, Dani uploaded a follow-up video, whereby she got candid on her 'bonding time' with Joanna.
Dani explained that Joanna, who she described as an 'alcoholic' who would often be 'up drinking till early hours of the morning', wanted to have 'bonding time' with her, but it was really 'for her own benefit.'
Dani recognised that not only was Joanna 'malicious,' with a 'wicked mind', but she was also 'very sex-orientated,' and somewhat a 'sex-maniac.'
Teaching her 'pole dancing'
And when Dani was just 13-years-old, she recalled moments where Joanna would teach her provocative dance moves to Do It Like a Dude by Jessie J.
Dani described it as 'pole dancing without the pole', as she bravely expressed: 'We practiced these moves for hours upon hours - she kept being like 'we've got to perform it, we're going to perform it together.''
Joanna Dennehy's victims
Twisted Joanna Dennehy's murder spree has been labelled the 'most dangerous person' crimologist Christopher Berry-Dee has 'ever, ever come into contact with' - here we look at her chilling crimes.
Dennehy's first victim was her housemate Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, on March 19, 2013. She convinced the Polish national that she wanted to meet him for sex before stabbing him in the heart and dumping his body in a wheelie bin,
Falklands War veteran John Chapman, 56, who was also believed to have lived with Dennehy, was murdered by her a week later.
Property developer Kevin Lee became Dennehy's final victim on March 29. He was her landlord and lover before she ended his life. In a letter to a former lover, Dennehy revealed she dressed Lee in a black sequinned to 'humiliate him' and dumped his body in Newborough.
Dennehy also tried to kill two others during her 10-day spree. She recruited accomplice Gary Stretch, 47, and the pair drove to Hereford where she stabbed John Rogers, 64, and Robin Bereza, 57. Fortunately, both of them survived.
Dennehy received a life term for the killings and attempted murders. Stretch was jailed for life after being found guilty of attempted murder.
Not only has Dani been candid online about moments alongside Joanna, who even plotted to kill Rost West and chop off a guard's finger to escape 'Monster Mansion' jail, but she previously opened up on this to Fabulous, as she expressed: 'I was so uncomfortable. I'd never liked Joanna and I couldn't understand why she had come into my room urging me to pole dance with her.
'It made no sense, and I felt sick as she encouraged me to wiggle my hips - and then suggested we perform a routine for my dad. It was so inappropriate, encouraging a child to be 'sexy'.
'She lived with my dad for two-and-a-half years, and I never warmed to her. In fact, I got very dodgy vibes off her - she was so cold. It made me feel really uneasy, a feeling which has stayed with me to this day.'
Dennehy robbed a significant part of my childhood and the memories of it linger into adulthood
Dani Hitchcock
Dani confessed to being 'emotionally traumatised by her behaviour and presence' which created a 'toxic atmosphere' in her household.
She added: 'Boundaries were always blurred with her. I dreaded being at dad's house, but I wanted to see him.
'Dennehy robbed a significant part of my childhood and the memories of it linger into adulthood.
'Her emotional abuse has impacted me. As a result of her behaviour, I cut people off really easily, but thankfully I also forgive easily.'
'Lucky escape'
Dani's TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @daniemilyx, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has racked up 176,600 views.
It's also amassed 5,489 likes and 85 comments.
This is heartbreaking, you all had a very lucky escape from her!
TikTok user
Social media users were gobsmacked to hear Dani's story and claimed that she and her siblings had a 'very lucky escape.'
One person said: 'Seems your dad and you had a VERY VERY lucky escape.'
Another added: 'My god you all had a very lucky escape. She is pure evil.'
A third agreed and commented: 'This is heartbreaking, you all had a very lucky escape from her!!'

Clinic 'offers cosmetic surgery procedures with no medical qualifications'

A woman with allegedly no verified UK medical credentials was caught offering both upper and lower eyelid procedures inside what appeared to be a dingy, non-sterile flat above a restaurant in Liverpool An undercover investigation has exposed the potential dangers of unregulated cosmetic clinics after a TV reporter was offered surgical procedures by a woman with reportedly no recognised medical qualifications in the UK. In the report, 5 News booked an appointment with a woman who allegedly has no verified UK medical credentials. Footage shows the reporter being offered both upper and lower eyelid procedures inside what appeared to be a dingy, non-sterile flat above a restaurant in Liverpool City Centre. The appointment was arranged within minutes via text, according to 5 News. However, the reporter only received the exact location 48 hours before the procedure - a flat where the woman and an assistant appeared ready to carry out the surgeries using local anaesthetic, and accepting only cash. ‌ During the appointment, the woman was reportedly prepared to begin without carrying out basic safety protocols. No medical consultation or patient history was taken, and when questioned about her credentials, she refused to confirm whether she had any. When asked by the reporter whether she was a doctor or how many surgeries she had previously performed, the woman also declined to answer. ‌ 5 News has shown its findings to Health Secretary Wes Streeting, who vowed to urgently examine the legal loopholes that allowed unqualified individuals to perform risky surgical procedures that can result in life-changing harm. Responding to the footage, Mr Streeting said: 'This is an extremely concerning case you've raised with me, and I will go away now and look at the laws in place to make sure that we don't have loopholes that enable this kind of unsafe and unregulated practice.' Leading UK eye surgeons warn that when performed incorrectly, eyelid surgery can cause permanent scarring, infection - and even blindness. Despite these risks, it remains legal in the UK for anyone to perform cosmetic surgery, as long as they do not falsely claim to be a registered doctor or surgeon. Campaigners argue that this loophole puts lives in danger and are calling on the Government to take immediate action. One of the procedures on offer - upper blepharoplasty, which involves removing excess eyelid skin to create a more youthful appearance - has surged in popularity due to social media platforms like TikTok and Facebook. According to the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS), it's now the UK's third most popular cosmetic procedure and the fastest-growing among women. 5 News has also obtained new data showing a 65% increase in complaints about backstreet surgery over the past year - rising from 404 from 2021–2023, to 667 from 2024–2025.

Inside Brit party holiday hotspot where drug-fuelled teens urinate on each other & terrorise island on high-speed quads

A TEENAGER off his head on booze climbs on to the balcony of a club's VIP section, drops his trousers and urinates on the revellers dancing below. A few doors down, cannabis-laced vodka cocktails are openly on sale while laughing gas balloons are being flogged in the smoky backroom of a bar for 20 euros a box. 11 Tourists without helmets on quad bikes speed past boozy revellers in Laganas Credit: Ian Whittaker 11 When the Sun visited Laganas, thousands of teens were marauding down the main strip by 11pm on Saturday Credit: Ian Whittaker 11 The air was clammy and filled with the constant roar of quad bikes, which can be rented for 50 euros a day Credit: Ian Whittaker Meanwhile, a quad bike overloaded with screaming tourists taking selfies roars down the street at high speed — with none of the young passengers wearing helmets. And British DJ Kai Roberts, 24, was left in a coma on Sunday following a quad bike crash on the Greek island. Thankfully his condition has since improved, although his mother says it's 'going to be a long recovery'. Incredibly, these are all incidents that took place on the Laganas strip on Zante AFTER a massive police crackdown was enacted. We can reveal that 50 cops from the capital Athens were parachuted in to claw back control. Bouncer Collins Michaels says corrupt bar owners and out-of-control Brits have been responsible for dozens of casualties at the notorious Laganas party resort before the Greek government took action. Pulling back his shirt to reveal a stab wound on his right arm, Collins, 54, told The Sun: 'The young kids never stop being naughty because this is often their first time on holiday without their parents. 'I often see teenagers climb on to the balcony of the VIP section at my club then pee on the people below. 'I was stabbed in my arm by a tourist as I was trying to control a group of kids in 2016. The wound was really deep and I spent two weeks in hospital. The strip was rampant — completely out of control — before the crackdown last year and there was so much fighting. 'Something needed to be done or more lives were going to be lost.' Brit DJ, 24, in coma after horror quad bike accident on party island Zante where he had landed 'amazing' club residency 'Last year went crazy' Kai, from Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, is the latest visitor to end up in dire straits having moved to Zante to work as a DJ this summer. He was a passenger on a quad bike that slammed into a wall on a coastal road on the island at around 5pm local time. Kai — who was due to fly home two days after the crash — is still in hospital, having been treated for a bleed on the brain, according to his brother Corey Roberts, 18. The DJ allegedly had to wait an hour for an ambulance before he was taken to the general hospital on Zante. After a CT scan revealed the bleed, he was flown to the Greek mainland where he was put in a medically induced coma at Ioannina University Hospital. The quad bike driver escaped with minor injuries. Corey said: 'My brother is my idol. He's well known, and everywhere he goes everyone loves him.' I last visited Laganas in 2018 after a group of 17 British teens were taken to hospital having drunk bootleg booze containing the deadly chemical methanol. Two years earlier, Hannah Powell, 21, was left fighting for her life and with just ten per cent eye function after drinking a cocktail laced with the same substance, which bar owners had been adding to their home brew to cut costs. The young kids never stop being naughty because this is often their first time on holiday without their parents. Hannah, from Ormesby, Middlesbrough, also needed a kidney transplant and said: 'I was blind — I didn't realise at the time. I thought we had the curtains shut.' But my research has found that the constant chaos and carnage that became the hallmark of Laganas got even worse after Hannah was blinded. 11 British DJ Kai Roberts is in a coma after he crashed his quad bike on party isle this week Credit: Facebook 11 A Medusa Stoned Eyes cocktail laced with cannabis was on sale for 14 euros at a bar that also specialised in shisha pipes Credit: Ian Whittaker 11 In 2016, Hannah Powell was blinded by booze laced with methanol Credit: Supplied 11 In 2011, Robert Sebbage was stabbed to death in Laganas afer a taxi row Credit: ENTERPRISE NEWS AND PICTURES Sigouros Raftopoulos runs three of the six private medical clinics on Laganas Road that provide first aid and ambulance services. He says there was a worrying number of quad bike, scooter and car accidents before police from the capital were flown in. He said: 'Last year went crazy. There were so many cases that involved air ambulances and transfers to Athens. 'We have lots of road accidents. Compared to this time last year we are 50 to 60 per cent down. We are seeing around 20 patients a day total, but during high season it could be 40 to 50 patients. 'You can see the strip is less crazy now. The quality of the booze has been upgraded and there are a lot more police, a lot more checks and a lot more controls.' In 2011, Robert Sebbage, 18, from Tadley, Hants, was stabbed to death outside a fast-food restaurant in Laganas after one of his group pointed a laser pen at a taxi driver's eye. Four other British teenagers from Basingstoke were wounded in the 3am attack. Another low point came when US university graduate Bakari Henderson, 22, died of severe head injuries after he was battered by bouncers working at Bar Code in July 2017. The fight was captured on video and reportedly kicked off after he tried to take a selfie with a waitress. It then spilled outside, where eight security guards repeatedly stamped on his head before leaving him unconscious on the ground. Six Serbian nationals, a 34-year-old Greek and a 32-year-old British national of Serbian descent were among those arrested and charged with voluntary manslaughter. In 2022, five of them were convicted of intended fatal bodily harm while another was convicted of fatal bodily harm, and all were handed jail sentences from ten to five years. But even that did not stop the violence. In July 2023, British tourist James Taylor, 18, was caught on camera being repeatedly beaten by four bouncers at CherryBay nightclub in Laganas. James, from Middlesbrough, suffered two black eyes, a swollen jaw, injuries to his head, a bust lip and a cut on his knee. He claimed he was set upon after standing on a chair to take a selfie. We have lots of road accidents. Compared to this time last year we are 50 to 60 per cent down. We are seeing around 20 patients a day total, but during high season it could be 40 to 50 patients. Sigouros Raftopoulos The footage went viral on social media and a Serbian national was arrested — yet workers at the club tried to justify the attack by saying James had beaten a teenage girl, even posting photos to 'prove' it. Then last year, after 12 people aged 17 to 23 were charged with attempted homicide and weapons violations following a knife fight at a bar, the Greek government finally decided to take action. Citizen Protection Minister Michalis Chrisochoidis announced that 40 police officers and ten drug enforcement agents were being dispatched to Zante — also known as Zakynthos. He said: 'We are committed to ensuring the safety of residents and visitors. The reality in Zakynthos will significantly improve.' Security worker Collins, who also runs the Happy Traveller speedboat rentals company, says the 'craziness' has calmed down considerably since then. He said: 'Before, some bouncers were not professional. They thought security work was all about flexing muscles and going to the gym and taking steroids. 11 Bouncer Collins Michaels and boat trip saleswoman Alice Krorda Credit: Ian Whittaker 11 18-year-old Brits, from left, Bridget Carty, Livy Wiley and Emily Lappin Credit: Ian Whittaker 'Then, when the teenagers would start doing crazy things, they would beat them up. 'It's more peaceful now because there is more police control. 'Before, it was only local police and they tended to turn a blind eye to the bad behaviour if it was carried out by other locals. But now, with the Athens police overseeing them, they have no choice but to take action. 'A few bars and clubs have been closed down for breaking the law or playing music too loud after midnight. 'A message has been sent out that bouncers can't hit kids any more and the tourists have been told to report anyone who gets rough with them. 'Lethal death juice' 'I would say it's 80 per cent under control now — but it will never be completely peaceful as we have so many of you crazy Brits here in July and August.' When the Sun visited Laganas, thousands of teens were marauding down the main strip by 11pm on Saturday, many of them celebrating the end of their A-levels. Girls in tight-fitting dresses stumbled down the street sucking on vapes or clutching vibrators, while lads in outrageous fancy dress outfits were downing luminous shots inside the bars. The air was clammy and filled with the constant roar of quad bikes, which can be rented for 50 euros a day. One we spotted tearing down the strip at high speed was being ridden by three helmetless teenagers — a young lad and two girls — who were posing for a selfie being taken by the driver. Meanwhile, a Medusa Stoned Eyes cocktail laced with cannabis was on sale for 14 euros at a bar that also specialised in shisha pipes. In the backroom of another bar, a man was flogging laughing gas for 20 euros a box. When asked if a balloon could be purchased and taken outside, the bearded salesman said: 'No, they are illegal on the island.' Marijuana products were openly on sale alongside sex toys at the racier stores that lined the strip alongside those flogging typical tourist tat. 11 James Taylor from Middlesbrough who was beaten by bouncers in a Zante nightclub Credit: Michelle Taylor/NCJ Media 11 Sigouros Raftopoulos runs three of the six private medical clinics on Laganas Road that provide first aid and ambulance services Credit: Ian Whittaker Ralph Goodwin, 18, Will Bloch, 17, Monty Munday, 18 and John Simmons, 18, said they had been offered drugs during their week-long lads' holiday to Zante. Ralph, from Haslemere in Surrey, had just finished his A-levels and said: 'They don't sell it inside the bars and clubs, but we've had random people approach us in the street and offer to sell us cocaine. 'There's no ketamine here and we're not into drugs anyway. 'We just want to go out and have a good time and we've had a great lads' holiday. The only annoyances have been the bouncers, who are still really aggressive, and the ambulance workers, who will try to fleece you. 'A friend needed an IVF drip after drinking too much the other night and they charged him 450 euros. The booze here is deadly. I call it lethal death juice because a lot of it is home made. 'But in one place we were given three shots of water — literally water — and two cocktails for ten euros.' Bridget Carty, Livy Wiley and Emily Lappin, all 18 and from Marlborough, Wilts, were also celebrating the end of their A-levels, having paid £500 each for their package holiday. Livy said: 'We're all terrified of getting our drinks spiked. 'The taxi driver who picked us up at the airport warned us not to drink alcohol in the bars and clubs. 'He said the drink is 'strange' and it is 'easy to drug'. 'We had drinks at our accommodation before we went out yesterday and we covered our glasses with our hands all night, but we still had a good time.'

Wet Leg singer says Bob Vylan and Kneecap Glastonbury reaction is ‘messed up'

The 32-year-old indie rocker's band played on Friday afternoon at the festival, where Bob Vylan and Kneecap's Saturday sets are being investigated by Avon and Somerset Police to decide whether any offences were committed. Bobby Vylan, of Bob Vylan, whose real name is reportedly Pascal Robinson-Foster, 34, led crowds on the festival's West Holts Stage in chants of 'death, death to the IDF (Israel Defence Forces)', before a member of Irish rap trio Kneecap joked that fans should 'start a riot' outside his bandmate's upcoming court appearance, and led the crowd on chants of 'f*** Keir Starmer'. Teasdale said she was concerned by the fallout from their sets, and added she feels it is 'powerful' for artists to speak up. The singer told PA: 'It shouldn't have to be considered brave to call out a genocide — that should be the absolute bare minimum. 'But the fact that people are being punished, silenced, or villainised for doing so shows just how messed up things are. I don't think it's brave to speak out — I think it's necessary. 'What's scary is how dangerous or controversial that's being made to seem. The media has focused so much on bands like Bob Vylan and Kneecap, but they weren't the only ones speaking out. Every other artist showed support for Palestine across the weekend. 'So why are these two being singled out? It feels like a deliberate attempt to create scapegoats, to distract from the actual message – which is simply calling out a genocide. 'Coming out of the Glastonbury bubble and seeing how much of that pro-Palestine messaging was cut from the BBC footage was honestly chilling. It shows how reality can be edited, distorted. 'That level of control over public perception feels dystopian, and it's exactly why speaking out, even imperfectly, is so important right now.' Bob Vylan's set at the festival, which was livestreamed at the time, is not available on iPlayer, and after the festival the BBC said it would no longer livestream acts it deems 'high risk'. Other acts to show their support for Palestine across the weekend included Wolf Alice, CMAT, Gurriers, and Black Country, New Road. The star, who grew up on the Isle Of Wight, says she herself wants to 'do better' at speaking up about important issues, having been inspired by Australian hard rockers Amyl And The Sniffers. She told PA: 'I think what these artists are doing is powerful. I saw Amyl And The Sniffers that weekend, and I really admired how she (Amyl And The Sniffers lead singer Amy Taylor) used her set to speak about Palestine. 'At one point she said, 'I was going to say something more poetic, and it's not perfect, but I think it's better to say something than say nothing at all'. That really stuck with me. 'It was honest and human — not polished, but true, and it reminded me that saying something imperfect is still far more meaningful than staying silent. 'That really resonated with me because speaking about Palestine on stage isn't something I take lightly. It's not about me — and I never want to make it about me — but I do feel a huge responsibility to get it right. 'I don't want to dilute the message or speak over the people whose voices actually need to be heard. That tension can make it hard to know exactly what to say, but the alternative — saying nothing — isn't acceptable either.' Made up of singer and guitarist Teasdale, guitarist Hester Chambers, drummer Henry Holmes, multi-instrumentalist Josh Mobaraki, and bass player Ellis Durand, Wet Leg rose to fame with their viral single Chaise Longue. The band will release their second LP Moisturizer on July 11, having performed songs from it such as Davina McColl, Catch These Fists and CPR during their Glastonbury appearance. Punk duo Bob Vylan issued a statement on Tuesday claiming they were being 'targeted for speaking up'. The pair have also had their US visas revoked before their tour later this year, were pulled from their Saturday headline slot at Radar festival in Manchester, and from an upcoming performance at a German music venue. Bob Vylan are expected to perform at the Boardmasters surfing and music festival in Newquay, Cornwall, in August. It has also emerged that Bob Vylan were already under investigation by police for comments made at a performance one month before Glastonbury. Video footage appears to show Bobby Vylan at Alexandra Palace telling crowds: 'Death to every single IDF soldier out there as an agent of terror for Israel. Death to the IDF.' The BBC has been contacted for comment.
