Her two-day police custody came to an end, leading to the next legal step in the ongoing investigation. Police oppose bail, seek further custody As per an IANS report, the investigative agency is expected to oppose Kashyap's bail plea and will seek extended custody to further probe the matter. The victim, Samiul Haque, a young engineering student, had sustained critical injuries after he was reportedly hit by Kashyap's car in the early hours of July 26 in Guwahati's Dakshingaon area. The actress fled the scene without attempting to help the injured student, an act that has drawn heavy criticism. Haque succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday evening, prompting authorities to take Kashyap into custody later that night. Initially, Kashyap was questioned by the police on the morning of the incident and was let go on a Personal Recognisance (PR) bond.
