Caitlin Clark Celebrates Fever Tournament Win With Blunt Message to Her Haters
The Indiana Fever won the WNBA Commissioner's Cup, an in-season tournament, defeating the Minnesota Lynx 74-59, despite Clark being sidelined by a groin injury.

Clark, who did not play at all in the final due to her injury, made the remarks during a locker room celebration captured on teammate Aaliyah Boston's Instagram Live.
'Guys, I just know everybody in the league is sick,' Clark is heard saying to her teammates off-camera.
Boston laughed then concurred, replying, 'They're p***ed.'
They ARE Sick About Clark's Success
Yeah, if you thought some of the players in the WNBA already targeting Caitlin Clark on a nightly basis were jealous of her success before, winning the in-season tournament is going to make them even madder.
Will there be more flagrant fouls on her? Will Sophie Cunningham have to step in and lay out Clark's detractors again?

Either way, it's good to see the Fever playing with a chip on their shoulder. While this is just an in-season tournament, you can bet some teams in the league have now been put on notice.
Indiana knows other teams are jealous of their success now. And they just used it to fuel them to a dominant win over the Lynx, even with their best player on the bench with an injury.
A team that was last season's Western Conference regular season champs, and took the WNBA champion New York Liberty to the brink during the Finals.

She Made Some Other Blunt Comments
During the Fever celebration, Clark also made some eyebrow-raising comments critical of the league's pay for the tournament they had just won.

'You get more (money) for this than you do if you're the (WNBA Finals) champion. It makes no sense. Someone tell Cathy to help us out,' Clark said, referencing WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert.
Fox News reports that the average winning bonus for the league champions equates to approximately $20,000 per person, while the in-season tournament winners receive roughly $30,000 each.
Will Indiana ride this wave to a surge in the standings and a potential push in the playoffs? If they keep the 'us against the world' attitude going, other players in the league are going to be even more 'sick.'

Cowboys VP makes odd comment regarding Micah Parsons contract situation
Former Penn State linebacker Micah Parsons is currently in the middle of the NFL's most notable contract dispute with his current team, the Dallas Cowboys. Parsons has shown up to training camp instead of holding out, but the two sides still appear to be at odds on coming to an agreement on a new contract. And some of the recent comments coming out of the Cowboys front office suggest we are not about to get much closer anytime too soon. Speaking to some members of the media during a training camp practice over the weekend, Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones made a comment that could be interpreted as the team is not going to budge on whatever offer is currently on the table for Parsons. "We want to pay Micah too," Jones said. "He's got to want to be paid." For his part, Parsons has always shown he is committed to working things out with the Cowboys and taking the steps necessary to show he can be relied on as a leader of the team, especially on defense. Parsons has made his presence known in workouts and his decision to show up for training camp rather than holding out is his way of showing the team he is there to work no matter what. But recent contract extensions around the league for some of the top edge rushers in the game have continued to raise the bar for what Parsons could expect to earn. T.J. Watt recently signed an extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers for four years and $150 million. Many NFL experts believe Parsons will get more on a new deal. Parsons is entering his fifth season in the NFL and will do so on a club option for $24 million this fall. Follow Kevin McGuire on Threads, Bluesky, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
