Here's when The Weeknd's After Hours Til Dawn tour tickets go on sale to the public
Pre-sale tickets went on sale Thursday morning and general on-sale tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
The 26-date North American stadium tour will kick off on May 9 in Phoenix and will wrap up in San Antonio, Tex. on Sept. 3.
The Weeknd, whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye, will make stops in cities like Chicago, Minneapolis and Denver before arriving in Los Angeles. He will perform four nights at SoFi Stadium, according to his website.

Before announcing his tour, the Toronto native released his "Hurry Up Tomorrow" album, the final piece in his "After Hours" trilogy. The album was originally set to be released on Jan. 24 but in light of the deadly wildfires in the LA area, he postponed the release, according to his social media. A show scheduled at the Rose Bowl Stadium on Jan. 25 was also canceled, the venue confirmed.
Following the release of the album, The Weeknd donated $1 million to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation, the LA Regional Food Bank and GoFundMe's Wildfire Relief Fund, according to Variety.

Bradley Cooper's stand-up comedy drama ‘Is This Thing On?' to close New York Film Festival
The closing night selection of this year's New York Film Festival will be the world premiere of 'Is This Thing On?' the latest film directed by Bradley Cooper. The film will be released by Searchlight Pictures but is currently without an opening date. Presented by Film at Lincoln Center, the 63rd New York Film Festival runs Sept. 26 through Oct. 13. Based on the life of British comedian John Bishop, from a screenplay written by Cooper, Will Arnett and Mark Chappell, the film stars Arnett and Laura Dern as a couple in the process of splitting up when Arnett's character immerses himself into New York City's stand-up comedy scene. Likening the film to a contemporary iteration of the classic comedy of remarriage, NYFF artistic director Dennis Lim said it is 'definitely a pivot' from the grandeur of the two previous films directed by Cooper, 'A Star Is Born' and 'Maestro.' ('Maestro' also played at the NYFF.) 'I would say it's quite different from Cooper's two other films as director,' said Lim in an interview this week. 'It is less sweeping. This is a more intimate film — kind of scrappier.' Lim noted the new film also has a very different aesthetic from Cooper's previous directing efforts. While Matthew Libatique — a three-time Oscar nominee, recognized for his work on both 'A Star Is Born' and 'Maestro' — is the film's cinematographer, Cooper often operated the camera himself. 'There's a lot of intimate handheld work, which I think matches the tone of the film — it has this bittersweet tone,' noted Lim. Cooper, a 12-time Oscar nominee, also takes a supporting role in the film, with a cast that includes Andra Day, Sean Hayes, Ciarán Hinds and Amy Sedaris alongside stand-up comedians Chloe Radcliffe, Jordan Jensen and Reggie Conquest. 'Earlier this year we had the wonderful opportunity to shoot this story all throughout the city, so it's very exciting to debut it on the closing evening of the festival,' Cooper said in a statement. 'NYC injects an energy into every aspect of filmmaking that just can't be replicated.' The festival's opening night film will be the North American premiere of Luca Guadagnino's 'After the Hunt,' a drama of campus politics and personal intrigue starring Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri and Andrew Garfield. The festival's centerpiece will be the North American premiere of Jim Jarmusch's 'Father Mother Sister Brother,' a story of family relationships told in three chapters in three different countries featuring Adam Driver, Mayim Bialik, Vicky Krieps, Cate Blanchett, Charlotte Rampling and Tom Waits. Both of those films will have their world premieres at the Venice Film Festival. Still to be announced are the NYFF's main slate and numerous other sections. Aside from 'Is This Thing On?' Lim says there will be a few other world premieres in the festival's program, which for the most part draws on titles from throughout the year that first screened at festivals such as Sundance, Berlin, Rotterdam, Cannes, Locarno, Telluride, Venice and Toronto. 'How do we make a case for cinema as an art form that is still vital and relevant? I think programming the New York Film Festival is answering this question,' said Lim. 'If I'm going to put forward a list of films that makes the case for cinema as an art form that matters today in 2025, which are the films that I'm going to put forward as evidence? The program is our answer to that question.' The New York Film Festival main slate selection committee is chaired by Lim and includes film programmers Florence Almozini and Rachel Rosen, critic K. Austin Collins and former Times film critic Justin Chang.

Toronto's 'Starboy', aka The Weeknd, receives a key to the city
Toronto's very own Starboy has been awarded a key to the city ahead of his highly anticipated concerts at Rogers Centre. Abel Tesfaye, a.k.a. the Weeknd, received the honour from Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow during a private ceremony on Saturday. "I'm deeply honoured to receive the key to the city. It feels good to be home. Toronto is where I found my voice, and I'm committed to helping the next generation find theirs," he said in a statement. To mark the occasion, the singer and entertainment company Live Nation will be also partnering up to support the the Boys & Girls Club of West Scarborough and The Weeknd's alma mater of Birchmount Park Collegiate Institute "to create spaces for youth to connect, create and thrive," says a news release from the City of Toronto. Students from both institutions were present at the ceremony on Saturday. "Abel 'The Weeknd' Tesfaye represents the best of our city. From Scarborough to the global stage, he has reshaped modern music while using his platform to support health and humanitarian causes at home and around the world," said Chow in a statement. "I am proud to honour one of our city's greatest artists with a key to the city to celebrate his contributions to music, society and our culture." Chow also proclaimed the weekend of July 26 and 27 as "The Weeknd Weekend" in Toronto. The Diamond-certified artist has smashed through global chart records with hit songs like Call Out My Name and Can't Feel My Face. Born and raised in West Scarborough, he made history as the first Canadian solo artist to headline the Super Bowl halftime show in 2021. The Weeknd will be playing four concerts at Rogers Centre on July 27, July 28, Aug. 7 and Aug. 8.

Heavy metal icon battling ‘devastating' form of cancer gets married
David Roach, the frontman for popular heavy metal rock band Junkyard, got hitched to his fiancée, Jennifer, amid the rock star's ongoing battle with cancer. Junkyard shared an Instagram post on Sunday, July 20 capturing the wedding with the description, 'Congratulations to the happy couple — Mr. and Mrs. David Patrick Roach." Roach's child, Ray, also posted about the wedding on Instagram with the caption, 'Did you know that you can get a free wedding venue if you just do it in the cancer center lobby after hours? Welcome to the Roach fam Jennifer!' The members of Junkyard attended the ceremony as well, according to both Instagram posts. Roach wrote in a Jan. 21 Instagram post that he was 'going through a medical issue that I'll be dealing with for at least a few more months.' Junkyard later announced in a Jan. 31 Instagram post that Roach was hit with 'an aggressive cancer diagnosis.' The singer was admitted to the hospital last month after experiencing a persistent fever and cough. 'We're still struggling to process the news we received on Tuesday,' a June 26 Instagram post from Roach and Jennifer read. 'We got results that have completely shattered our world. It's devastating and life-altering, and we're trying to navigate through the emotions and uncertainty that come with it.' Despite this uncertainty, Roach was 'showing such incredible strength and resilience,' according to the Instagram post. 'Even in the midst of this darkness, he's still managing to keep his sense of humor,' the post continued. 'It's a reminder of how amazing he is.' The band started donating a portion of every sale of their merchandise to help pay for Roach's medical expenses. The singer was also selling his plaque art to cover the cost of bills. Additionally, a GoFundMe was created in March to help the musician combat 'the financial strain from medical expenses and daily living costs.' The campaign has raised more than $35,000 to date. 'Your support means the world to David, and it will truly help him through this difficult period,' the GoFundMe reads. 'Thank you so much for showing him the love and kindness he deserves!' Junkyard formed in Los Angeles, California in 1987. The band, which is often compared to Guns N' Roses, possesses a 'raw and bluesy hard rock' sound 'with a metal accent and roots in hardcore punk,' according to AllMusic. Junkyard released four studio albums from 1989 to 1998 before going on hiatus. However, the members regrouped a few years later. Junkyard released its first new studio album in almost 20 years, 'High Water' in 2017, as well as their latest singles, 'Lifer' and 'Last of a Dying Breed,' in 2021.
