Huawei Highlights Rise of Productivity Tablets at Work
Huawei has revealed how productivity tablets are reshaping modern workplaces. The company reported that outdated tools can significantly hinder worker efficiency.
For decades, laptops have been the standard work device. However, as jobs grow more mobile and multitasking-driven, traditional tools are falling behind. Huawei cited a 2023 IDC study showing that 85% of companies saw productivity gains after adopting mobile devices like tablets.
Tablets are no longer just media consumption tools. They are evolving into powerful productivity tablets that combine PC performance with mobile flexibility. Huawei is leading this shift by developing tablets that can rival traditional office PCs.
The new HUAWEI MatePad Pro 12.2' is an example. It includes a full-size Glide Keyboard, a large trackpad, and support for an external mouse. The keyboard is crafted from aerospace-grade materials, weighing only 420g and measuring 5.15mm in thickness. It also includes a 2-in-1 stylus and keyboard storage feature, supporting the M-Pencil.
On the software side, the MatePad Pro offers PC-level WPS Office and a Live-Multitask feature. Users can work on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations with ease. Switching between apps is seamless, thanks to a responsive window resizing feature.
Huawei reported that tablet-based workflows have shown measurable improvements: Scheduling time was reduced by up to 75%
Operational efficiency improved by 40%
These gains are driven by the ability to use one device for multiple tasks writing, sketching, documentation, and presentations.
The company emphasized that demand for cross-functional tools will keep rising. As a result, productivity tablets are becoming the new standard for mobile professionals focused on efficiency and long-term growth.
