Because of her celebrity status, fans might have assumed that Emily Ratajkowski would have many male friends in her life. However, in a recent interview with Elle UK, the actor debunked the myth. The model clarified that although she likes men, she has 'zero straight men' as her friends, and she is perfectly fine with this knowledge. As per Ratajkowski, men are 'pleasure and fun,' but not part of her 'core.'
It seems like Emily Ratajkowski is content with her friend circle. Going by her recent interview, the star made it clear that she is in no rush to include any men in her inner circle as of now. During her interview with Elle UK, the star opened up about her friendship and her thoughts on men, which took many by surprise.
'I still like men. I just have zero straight men in my life, unless they're a romantic interest,' she said in the interview. The 34-year-old star clarified her point, saying men are at the 'top of the pyramid' when it comes to 'the hierarchy of needs.' However, for Ratajkowski, '[Men are] pleasure and fun,' but they are 'not a part' of her 'core.'
The 'Gone Girl' actor was married to Sebastian Bear-McClard for more than three years before parting ways in 2022. Together, they are parents to a 4-year-old son, Sylvester Apollo Bear. Following her divorce, the 'My Body' author jumped back into the dating scene, enjoying her single status. Soon enough, Ratajkowski was linked to the who's who of Hollywood, including singer Harry Styles, Brad Pitt, Pete Davidson, and comedian Eric André.
But now, the star says, 'Not centring men is really wonderful.' Ratajkowski current life involves building a 'community with other women and queer people, and being a mom.' Having drinks and dinner with her group is one of her favorite things. This is because she gets 'to talk s—' with her friends, indicating she deeply loves them.

Oasis dedicate song to Ozzy Osbourne as they begin series of gigs in London

Oasis dedicated one of their hits to the late rocker Ozzy Osbourne as they made a triumphant return to London for a series of gigs as part of their world tour. Liam Gallagher told tens of thousands of fans of his pride as the band graced the stage at Wembley Stadium for the first time in more than a decade. Just three songs into their much-anticipated appearance, he declared the crowd was 'f****** beautiful', having bowed to the sea of raised arms before him. Liam and brother Noel played with their band for the first of seven nights at the stadium on Friday – with five shows over the next week and two more scheduled in September. It was the first time they had appeared together onstage at the London venue since July 12 2009, when they performed during their Dig Out Your Soul tour. Towards the end of the gig, they paid tribute to Osbourne. Lead singer Liam said: 'I wanna dedicate this one to Ozzy Osbourne, rock 'n' roll star.' The Black Sabbath star's death at the age of 76 was announced earlier this week. Oasis superfans in bucket hats and branded T-shirts had packed the Tube en route to the gig from earlier in the day, with international accents denoting the band's worldwide popularity. As with previous gigs Liam and Noel walked onstage hand in hand, opened with Hello and proceeded to belt out many of their classics including Some Might Say and Morning Glory. The packed-out stadium was in full voice throughout and at one point Liam threw a tambourine into the jubilant crowd, while later positioning one on top of his head. Despite pledging to concentrate on his vocals rather than talking – telling those gathered 'every time I open my mouth at these gigs I seem to get myself into a lot of trouble so I'm just going to do the singing' – Liam later engaged in some light football banter. The well-known Manchester City fan appeared to poke fun at Arsenal fans in the crowd, joking about their position in the Premier league. Phone camera torches lit up the stadium as darkness fell and crowd-pleasers Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger and Champagne Supernova closed the gig. At various points Noel thanked the crowd, with Liam telling them they had been 'amazing', ahead of fireworks erupting into the London sky. Friday's show – the eighth of the tour – followed a five-night run of homecoming gigs in Manchester's Heaton Park and the two opening shows in Cardiff earlier this month. Following the first part of their Wembley stint, the band will head up north to Edinburgh's Murrayfield Stadium followed by Dublin's Croke Park. The group will head to Japan, South Korea, South America, Australia and North America later in the year. Oasis announced their reunion tour in August of last year – 16 years after their dramatic split in 2009 which saw Noel quit following a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. While fans were excited at the Britpop band's reunion, many were left outraged after some standard tickets in the UK and Ireland jumped from £148 to £355. The controversy prompted the Government and the UK's competition watchdog to pledge to look at the use of dynamic pricing.

Vince Gilligan's New Apple TV+ Sci-Fi Show Is Coming Real Soon

Amid all the hubbub of San Diego Comic-Con weekend, Apple TV finally unveiled its new sci-fi drama series, Pluribus, created by Breaking Bad creator and Better Call Saul co-creator Vince Gilligan. Although Pluribus is Gilligan's first venture into sci-fi, it will feature a familiar face: Rhea Seehorn from Better Call Saul. Apple TV's press release for Pluribus, like its teaser poster, doesn't reveal much about the show in terms of what viewers can expect from its story, aside from Gilligan's name being attached to it and that it'll consist of nine episodes. In the spirit of enticing vagueness, the streamer coupled its official announcement with a date trailer. The date announcement trailer for Pluribus taps into the cringe-worthy YouTube prank culture from nearly a decade ago. In the clip, a woman licks the bottom of every donut before placing them back into their container—color us appropriately grossed out and curious to see how the show's sci-fi elements unfold. Apple's brief logline for the series describes it as being set in a world where 'the most miserable person on Earth must save the world from happiness.' Presumably starting with one licked donut at a time. Alongside Seehorn, the cast includes Karolina Wydra (Sneaky Pete), Carlos-Manuel Vesga (The Hijacking of Flight 601), Miriam Shor (American Fiction), and Samba Schutte (Our Flag Means Death). In tandem with the show's announcement, Apple TV put ten toes down on Gilligan's new hotness by already picking the nine-episode series up for a second season. The drama series is being executive produced by Gordon Smith, Alison Tatlock, Diane Mercer, Allyce Ozarski, and Jeff Frost. Additionally, Jenn Carroll and Trina Siopy are joining the team as co-executive producers. Happiness is contagious. — Breaking Bad (@BreakingBad) July 22, 2025Gilligan first hinted at working on 'Pluribus' in 2023, following the end of the WGA strike. Although he remained somewhat vague about the show's specifics, he mentioned to Variety that production was nearing the completion of its first season. 'I wouldn't call this heavy science fiction, I would call it mild science fiction,' Gilligan told Variety. 'But it does have a sci-fi element to it, at its core. And there's no crime, and no methamphetamine. It's going to be fun and different … I know it's a story that interests me, and Rhea will be playing a very different character than she played on Saul. The weird thing is that it takes place in Albuquerque, except it's a whole different world. There's no overlap that I can see.' Given Gilligan's history working on shows like The X-Files, we can only hope he brings some of that uncanny energy into whatever Pluribus winds up being about. The first two episodes of Pluribus premiere on November 7, with new episodes airing every Friday through December 26 on Apple TV. Want more io9 news?
