Who Do You Think You Are? spring 2025 line-up revealed
The latest series of the acclaimed genealogy show will see eight celebrities uncover astounding revelations as they dive into their families' heritage. Spanning almost 800 years of history, the celebrities unearth remarkable stories from tragic romances and early Hollywood glamour to harrowing revelations of war and slavery. It will take viewers across the UK and around the world including Jamaica, Morocco, India, Poland, Germany, Ireland, the USA and France as the celebrities search for answers.

In the upcoming series of Who Do You Think You Are?, audiences will follow BAFTA-award winner and Oscar nominated actor Andrew Garfield as he embarks on a journey of emotional contrasts, from pre-War Poland; to the Treblinka Nazi death camp; to the sunshine and glamour of early Hollywood. Acclaimed actor, writer and comedian Diane Morgan steps away from her role as clueless historian Philomena Cunk to learn some history of her own from the experts, involving a poignant love story and her ancestor's brave fight for the rights of her illegitimate children.
EastEnders legend and esteemed documentary maker Ross Kemp ends up in Casablanca trying to solve a family mystery, along the way finding out that his 4x great grandfather was a drummer boy during the Napoleonic wars. BAFTA-winning and RTS nominated actor and writer Aisling Bea discovers how her family's been shaped by some of the most dramatic moments in Irish history, telling a tale of violent tragedy, female resilience and a passion for Irish independence. British pop icon and actor Will Young uncovers his grandfather's extraordinary experience as a Bomber Command pilot in World War Two and being captured as a Prisoner of War in Germany. Will then dives back further in time, discovering both villains and royalty in his family tree.
Elsewhere, TV personality and the UK's number one matchmaker Fred Sirieix sets sail to France to explore his family roots where he discovers a wartime romance worthy of First Dates and is delighted by an unexpected connection to wine making. Musical theatre and acting phenomenon Layton Williams investigates his London roots, revealing a surprising musical connection, before travelling to Jamaica where he uncovers some distressing family history. Journalist and broadcaster Mishal Husain traces an illustrious family history, in India she discovers an ancestor who was a personal physician to a Maharaja, and in an unexpected twist finds herself travelling to the East Coast of the USA.

The youngest child of a well-known musician and his acting ex-wife is following in the footsteps of his father by being in a band, who performed at a gig in the US this week The son of a well-known musician is now following in their footsteps by their pursuing a career in music. They took to the stage with their band at a concert earlier this week and their Oscar-winning mother was there for support. Moses Martin, 19, is the youngest child of Coldplay 's Chris Martin, 48, and actor Gwyneth Paltrow, 52. The exes, who split in 2014 before getting divorce, but who have remained on good terms, are also parents to Apple Martin, 21. Like his father, Moses is a member of a band, with him one third of trio Dancer. His group performed at a concert in Chicago recently whilst supporting another band. It comes after Chris issued a warning to his own fans during his first gig with Coldplay since a kiss cam scandal earlier this month. Moses' band Dancer took to the stage at the Thalia Hall in Chicago last night. Alongside his bandmates Orlando and Andy, he opened for duo Royel Otis - who are due to perform at Reading Festival and Leeds Festival soon - at the venue. Prior to the gig, Dancer posted about their appearance on platforms like Instagram. Alongside a video of the trio performing together whilst sat on the back of a truck, they shared details of the gig with their followers. "I love this band," one person reacted to the post. Another wrote in the comments section: "Amazing." Someone else responded to the band's post: "See ya there." Someone else asked: "How can I listen to your songs???" Dancer teased over potential music being released soon, with the band's account replying: "Soon." Gwyneth liked the post and shared her excitement over the upcoming gig in the comments section. Teasing that she would be there to support her son, she wrote: "Can't wait." She later revealed that she was at the show in a post on her own account on the platform. The actor uploaded a photo that was seemingly taken backstage at the venue last night. It showed three microphone kits, each with a band member's name on, and Gwyneth didn't provide any caption. More recently, in a post uploaded to her Instagram Story earlier today, she shared a photo of the band on stage. Gwyneth shared her pride over Moses being a musician in a tribute for his birthday on the platform back in April. She wrote at the time: "Happy birthday [Moses]. Honestly, you are a dream come true. You are deeply kind and brilliant." She continued by writing to him: "You have an incredible intellect and you are so gifted, so talented. I listen to your music on repeat and miss you so much at college. And today more than ever. I love you my boy."

However, their windows are blacked out and they have to guess where they are travelling as they are given various clues and peeks along the way. They are challenged to find out the answer to one simple question; where in the world are they? On each episode, the player who places their 'X' in a location that is the furthest from where they are actually located gets eliminated. The last contestant standing wins a life changing jackpot prize of £100,000, meaning alliances and rivalries are built over the course of the competition. In the most recent episode on BBC One, the contestants were split into two groups as they travelled up a mountain via corresponding cable cars. However, the transportation 'broke down' midway through the route, leaving the players confused. The teams would then compete in a physical challenge to try and win the game, as the winning team will carry on up to the top of the mountain where a clue would be waiting. As part of the 'rescue' themed task, the first clue is underneath the exterior of the cabin. Meaning, one player from each team would have to strap themselves into a harness. Fans stunned as THREE Destination X contestants are immediately axed in brutal opening twist They would then be left to climb out from the bottom of the cable car, as they are left effectively stranded 2000 feet in the air as the other contestants watch from inside. But many Destination X viewers were distracted by the logistics of the task itself as they were worried about the safety of each contributor. Taking to X - formerly known as Twitter - as no safety experts appeared on camera, one fan enquired: "Do they have a safety team inside the cable car who knows about climbing and knots and stuff?" A second asked: "Wtf how is this allowed? Complete amateurs on the ropes." "Haven't there recently been cable car accidents? Suspending them for however long for entertainment seems a bit irresponsible," stated a third viewer. While someone else noted: "Cable car abseil task terrifying. Like I'm A Celeb on steroids." And a fifth user posted: "This is INSANE.
