Ragheb Alama to Perform Live in North Coast on August 2

Lebanese superstar Ragheb Alama will perform live at the Address Beach Resort, in Marassi, North Coast, on Saturday, August 2.
He is set to present several of his popular and latest songs.
The evening will also feature a performance by Egyptian singer Amina.

Alama, born on June 7, 1962, is a Lebanese singer, composer, television personality, and philanthropist. He is one of the most commercially successful singers in the Arab world.
He began his career in the 1980s when he appeared as a contestant on the talent show broadcast 'Studio El Fan', on which he received the Platinum Award.
The acclaimed singer rose to stardom after the show and was followed by annually released albums and number-one hit singles, which were the first Arabic songs in history to be made into a music video.
Alama is known for his singles 'Ya rait', ''Aan Jad', 'Alby Asheq'ha', 'Saharony El Leil', 'Tab Leh', 'El Hob El Kebeer', and 'Baashaak'.

Cervantes Institute 20 Boulos Hanna St, Dokki, Tel 02 3760 1746 An exceptional caricature exhibition by late Spanish artist Juan Sintes, the first to introduce caricature to Egyptian newspapers in the early 20th century. The exhibition includes a collection of rare caricatures that reveal the sarcastic and humane spirit of an artist who lived in the heart of Cairo and depicted its political and social landscape with his unique style. Sintes, an artist who came from the Spanish city of Valencia at the invitation of Prince Youssef Kamal in 1908, taught the art of engraving and left a unique artistic imprint (closing 20 July). Russian Cultural Centre 127 Tahrir St, Dokki Metro Station, Giza, Tel 02 3760 6371 'Shakhbat Shakhabeet' (scribble scribbles) group exhibition features 55 artists from across Egypt, including seven foreign artists from France, China, Italy, Japan, Yemen, and Poland. It showcases a variety of creative works, including oil paintings, watercolours, decoupage, and photography. A group of children are also participating with amazing drawings, as well as a group of artists with special needs (4 - 30 July). Anthology 2025 is as usual headlined by some of the gallery's marquee resident talents, as well as some of its familiar guest names and features a pair of new ones that are being unveiled to the art loving community here in Egypt for the very first time. This collection sees an impressive assortment of mediums too, with the inclusion of various artforms spanning; sculpture, photography, fabric appliqué, mosaics, and various forms of painting. Unearthing a treasure trove of historic photographs, maps, postcards, newspapers, magazines, etc., the exhibition explores the urban evolution and politics of Sayyida Zainab, from the 9th century until the present day. It features more than 50 monuments in an attempt to reimagine their past and envision their future (14 - 31 July).
