Accused is a no show at sentencing hearing on assault and firearms-related offences

A 24-year-old man who pleaded guilty to assault and possession of an imitation firearms failed to appear for his sentencing hearing on Friday at the London Courthouse.
Randeep Singh entered his guilty pleas in this case in November.
He was arrested after a road rage type incident in the Mornington Avenue area in east London in September of 2022.
After his arrest, officers executed a search warrant and seized replicas at his home.
Singh was ordered and expected to show up for his sentencing hearing and when he didn't, Justice Brian White issued a bench warrant.
Singh's lawyer Robert Warren also removed himself from the case and requested to be off the record.

$22K in steroids, cocaine, fentanyl, weapons seized in Fort Saskatchewan
About $22,000 in drugs and weapons were seized by Fort Saskatchewan RCMP on June 26, 2025. (Supplied) Mounties say they have seized $22,000 in illegal drugs and weapons after responding to a complaint of a suspicious individual in Fort Saskatchewan on Thursday. A statement from RCMP said officers found a heavily intoxicated man in a vehicle at a local restaurant. Officers established grounds to arrest the man for possession of fentanyl. The man resisted arrest and assaulted police. He was then tased. A large amount of cash was seized along with six vials of steroids, 55 millilitres of GHB, 28 grams of cocaine, 87 grams of fentanyl and a large quantity of weapons, amounting to a street value of about $22,000. The 35-year-old man with no fixed address faces eight charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking, assaulting an officer and resisting arrest. He was held for a judicial hearing and then was remanded into custody.
