Coronation Street's Carl Webster actor has famous TV star wife
He has since caused chaos for Abi Webster (Sally Carman) with his incessant flirting, unbothered by the fact that she is married to his brother, Kevin (Michael Le Vell).
Away from the cobbles, actor Jonathan Howard is happily married – to none other than Tv and Film star Elodie Yung.
Jonathan himself is no stranger to the big screen, having appeared in Thor: The Dark World, World War Z and Godzilla: King of the Monsters.
French-Cambodian actress Elodie got her big break in French TV drama La Vie Devant Nous, before going back to law school. However, at age 29 she moved to London to study acting.

Her first Hollywood role came in the form of hit movie The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and she has since starred in some major TV series, such as Marvel's Daredevil and The Cleaning Lady.
Her Daredevil character Elektra was skilled in martial arts – something that Elodie herself has a talent for, having achieved a black belt in Karate.
Jonathan revealed that he and Elodie moved from LA to another state for her work, and that they enjoy living there together.
'My wife has been working on a TV show for the last few years in another state in America and we've been based there for the last couple of years. We enjoy our life there.
'My wife is French Cambodian and we never thought we'd be living in the States, but we like it out there. That's our life right now.'
He recently spoke about moving back to the UK to take on the role of Carl, after living in America with Elodie and their daughter.
'I left the north of England 20 years ago, when I was 20. I went to do Dream Team in London then I went to drama school for three years.
'I left drama school and managed to work in America and moved to America and I've been in the States for the last 10 years with my wife and I have a daughter over there.
'The only hard thing is being away from them, but at the same time it's a real gift to be back in the north of England.'
He went on to reveal that Carl wasn't the first Coronation Street role he'd auditioned for, explaining that he'd been in to read for Gary Windass prior to going to drama school.
If he'd got the role, his whole life would have been completely different, he revealed.
'I was in the process of auditioning for drama school at the same time as I had a screen test for a new family, and that was the Windass family. Gary Windass was the character I was auditioning for. Obviously I didn't get it, I lost out to a great actor and he's done amazing things with that character. More Trending
'But in that moment, if I'd been offered Corrie I would have taken it and I wouldn't have taken my place at LAMDA, at drama school, and I wouldn't have done that training.
'So it was very disappointing at the time because, as a northern actor, Corrie is the main staple of an actor's diet. But to not get it meant that I went to drama school. You have to trust the universe and trust that things happen and it's all for the right reason.

'I got a great training at drama school, I left and got a good agent and therefore had opportunities that took me to America, met my wife – can't forget that! I wouldn't have met my wife if I hadn't have gone to drama school, so it worked out for the best.'

Coronation Street fans left fuming after Kevin Webster's 'sickening' scene
Coronation Street fans were left fuming with Kevin Webster during tonight's episode - as it was revealed he was lying to his family about still having cancer Kevin Webster was seen telling a huge lie about his testicular cancer in tonight's Coronation Street - and fans were fuming with his behaviour. It's been a tough year for the Websters, but it looked like things had taken a positive turn when it was revealed in tonight's episode that he'd been given the all clear. However, it seems like he's keeping the good news to himself... Earlier in the episode, Kevin was seen heading to his appointment alone, as Abi was forced to attend a breakdown call. Abi was later left fuming when she realised Carl Webster could have attended the breakdown, meaning she'd completely missed Kev's "life-changing" consultation. Following his appointment, Kevin and Abi headed to Speed Daal for a date night, and it was there that we learnt that Kevin had been given the all clear. As Abi headed to the bathroom, Kevin was approached by Dr. Gaddas, who congratulated him on getting the all clear. As he thanked her, Kevin then asked if she could just keep it between them, as he hasn't yet told his family. "Of course not, I wouldn't break patient confidentiality," she said. Despite Kevin telling the doctor he'd be telling his family about the all clear, it doesn't look like he's planning on doing it anytime soon. "What was that about?" Abi asked as she returned from the bathroom. Fans of course, expected him to tell Abi the good news, but instead he let her believe he still has the illness. "She was just saying how sorry she was," Kevin told Abi, as she was seen getting emotional during his 'sick lie'. "Kev, what ever lies ahead, I'm here," an emotional Abi said, as the two expressed their love for one another. But how long will Kevin keep the lie up? Fans were disgusted with the character, as they took to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their disappointment. "kevin webster is on my hit list omg I HATE HIM!! #Corrie," exclaimed one. Another angry fan tweeted: "Woahhhhhh... not Kev lying, because he knows Abi will leave him if he is in the all clear. How MAD!" A third exclaimed: "Kev showing his true colours! How could he stoop so low?!" as a fourth said: "Sickening behaviour from Kev!" Kevin's lie comes after he continues to grow suspicious of his brother Carl and Abi's actions. Earlier in the week, Kevin picked up Abi's phone and spotted a flirtatious message that Carl had recently sent. However, spoilers from next week reveal that Kevin's lie is set to be exposed as he admits to his brother Carl that he's got the all clear and needs no more cancer treatment, despite his wife Abi Franklin being under the impression he needs more chemotherapy. Soon enough, Kevin makes up to his sister Debbie and pal Tyrone that his cancer is unresponsive and he has to have further treatment. But feeling the pressure of his lies, he admits to Tyrone that he lied and his cancer has gone.

Coronation Street legend takes shocking action to stop wife from leaving him
A Coronation Street legend has taken shocking action in tonight's episode to stop his wife from leaving him. Things have been tense between Kevin and Abi Webster (Michael Le Vell and Sally Carman) for a few months, for several reasons. Abi's PTSD took a toll on the family earlier this year, and Kevin's testicular cancer diagnosis rocked them even further. The arrival of Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) has also proved an unwelcome distraction, with the mechanic determined to get it on with his sister-in-law. In tonight's episode, Abi was left furious when Carl insisted she help him with a call out instead of accompanying Kevin to his appointment, where he'd receive news on how his cancer had reacted to his chemotherapy. Abi was fit to burst with rage when she found Carl in the garage with his feet up, and ranted about missing Kevin's appointment. Her anger did nothing to deter Carl from trying it on with her once more though, before she stormed out after coming close to giving in. When she returned, she revealed that if Kevin got good news from the hospital, she planned to tell him that she needed a break – though she made it very clear that this changed nothing between her and Carl. When Kevin returned home, after confiding in Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney) that he didn't think Abi was happy, he began to tell Abi his test results. Getting the impression that it was good news, Abi admitted she had something to tell him, and that it was going to be very difficult. With Debbie having pointed out that Abi would say something if she was unhappy, Kevin instantly sensed where the conversation was going, and quickly interjected to change the tone. He explained that, while his cancer hadn't spread, it hadn't responded to treatment, so he'd need more chemotherapy. More Trending This stopped Abi in her tracks as she pushed aside her plans to ask for a break. However, it later became clear that Kevin had lied, when Dr Gaddas congratulated him on getting the all-clear. Coronation Street fans 'solve' what happened to Gary and who's to blame
Coronation Street fans think they have worked out what led to Gary Windass being in a coma, and who put him there ahead of the attacker's identity being exposed Gary Windass' shocking Coronation Street storyline is finally explained next week according to new spoilers. But some fans think they have already worked out what really happened to the character, and who attacked him. We found out last week that missing Gary has been in a coma in hospital. Someone has been using his phone to pretend he's okay, when actually he's the person Nina Lucas and Summer Spellman saw and "left for dead" when they were high on LSD. Nina has been worried ever since about who she potentially hurt, not knowing it was Gary. Nina said she'd shoved a man fearing she was in danger, when said man lunged at her. The camera then panned to Gary in a coma when Nina was heard saying she needed to know who he was. Gary is in a bad way, and whoever attacked him is going to great lengths to cover up their crime. Spoilers revealed the mystery person, thought to be a woman, has given hospital staff a fake name for Gary, while claiming to be his next of kin so the police do not inform his real family. But ahead of the truth coming out and Gary's fate being revealed, some fans think they have cracked the case. A few different names have been put forward as the potential culprit. With Nina so worried about what's happened and clearly not knowing it's Gary, she can't be the one hiding the crime. But could Summer know more than she's letting on? Other names fans are suspecting include Brody Michaelis and his mother Lou, after her run-in with him recently. Gary also had a run-in with Brody's father Mick who's in prison - but has Mick orchestrated the attack? Taking to social media, one fan theorised: "A Kit/Brody cover up," as another said: "It's either Brody or a drugged-up Summer." A third posted: "Summer has his phone I will bet." As for Lou or Brody, or even Mick, one fan said: "Lou is texting Maria. I'd say Lou and/or Brody brought Gary to the hospital themselves and told the nurses they were related." A further comment suggested: "I don't think it's Brody. "I don't think he's clever enough for that. Maybe someone from the prison who is on Mick's side and is watching Lou and knows something. I dunno. I feel it's an adult though." One fan replied: "I hadn't thought about Mick - good point. He was annoyed she'd been hanging out with him." A fan then said: "Though the only one that can get into Gary's phone is Lou, she remembers his code." While another fan commented: "Well... I'm wondering if the Summer/Nina thinking they battered someone is just a red herring and it was actually Debbie. "When she was really upset and got behind the wheel." Nina and Summer could be to blame though according to some fans, with one comment reading: "I guess if she took him by surprise with a shove and he fell and hit his head in the wrong place it wouldn't really take much."
