
Shining Star Awards for 223 students in Chittoor
Speaking to the media on Sunday (June 8), District Collector Sumit Kumar said the government launched the initiative to recognise academic excellence in Class 10 and Intermediate. As many as 223 students, including 190 toppers of SSC examination and 33 toppers of Intermediate examination from 31 mandals will be given the awards.
Each of the students will be presented with a commendation certificate, a cash prize of ₹20,000 and a medal. The Collector told the parents and students to bring their Aadhaar or school IDs, study certificates and two passport-size photographs. Every student is entitled to bring one parent along with them.
In-charge Minister Mandipalli Ramprasad Reddy, MLAs from the district and other dignitaries will participate in the event.
