Euro 2025 clash between England and France sets U.S. TV group stage viewership record
Fox have said France's victory over England on Saturday was the most-watched women's Euro group stage match in English-language U.S. television history.
The marquee matchup, which France won 2-1, drew 690,000 viewers, a 329% spike from the previous group stage average.

The network's viewership for the group stage, meanwhile, is up 123% compared to the 2022 tournament (359,000 vs. 161,000 average viewers).
The results are no coincidence. Unlike past iterations on ESPN, Fox is giving the Women's Euros premium treatment, airing matches on its main broadcast channel, not just cable.
This year marks Fox Sports' first-ever broadcast of the UEFA Women's European Championship.
Fox has assembled a heavyweight lineup of analysts, blending broadcast veterans with recent U.S. women's national team retirees.
World Cup winner and National Soccer Hall of Famer Carli Lloyd headlines the coverage alongside fellow USWNT legend Julie Ertz and Germany's Ariane Hingst, a two-time World Cup champion. They're joined by longtime Fox staples Alexi Lalas and Stu Holden, as well as British broadcaster Jules Breach, who returns after fronting the network's UEFA Men's Euro 2024 coverage last summer.

Rounding out the crew are a trio of former internationals-turned-analysts: Lori Lindsey (USWNT), Lianne Sanderson (England), and Scotland's Jen Beattie, who retired this year after an 18-year career. Together, they bring a mix of insight, credibility, and global perspective to Fox's first full-fledged Women's Euro broadcast.
The Euros are the latest addition to Fox Sports' growing list of major soccer tournaments, which includes the FIFA men's World Cup in 2026, Copa America and the Concacaf Gold Cup.
Fox holds the record for the most-watched soccer match in U.S. history, with 25.4 million viewers tuning in for the 2015 Women's World Cup final between USWNT and Japan, according to the network.
