7 Greek restaurants in Dubai that transport you straight to the Aegean
View this post on Instagram
A post shared by Gaia Dubai (@gaia__dxb)
A crown jewel in Dubai's dining scene, GAIA by acclaimed chef Izu Ani elevates Greek-Mediterranean fare to an art form. The sophisticated, neutral-toned space—accented with tasteful pops of color—sets the stage for a menu that changes with the seasons. This summer's offerings sing with Mediterranean brightness: think tomato salad drizzled with Cycladic olive oil, marinated peppers with roasted garlic, and a sea bream carpaccio that's as photogenic as it is delicious. The modern take on moussaka is a revelation, while the hidden NYX Bar (a celebrity favorite) offers an exclusive nightcap spot.
Perfect for: Special occasions when only elevated Greek will do. OPA

If your ideal Greek experience involves dancing on tables and shouting 'Opa!' at the top of your lungs, this is your spot. More than just a restaurant, OPA is a full-blown celebration of Hellenic hospitality, complete with Zorba dancing, napkin-twirling, and the occasional plate smashed in jubilation. The vibrant, foliage-filled space sets the scene for a feast of shareable classics—creamy tzatziki, slow-cooked lamb, grilled halloumi—best enjoyed with a group of friends and a bottle of ouzo.
Perfect for: Late-night revelry and unforgettable group dinners. Avli by tashas

From renowned restaurateur Natasha Sideris, Avli brings a touch of Grecian elegance to DIFC. This chic spot is ideal for everything from power lunches to romantic dinners, with a menu that balances tradition and modernity. Start with an array of dips (the taramasalata is a must), then move on to grilled octopus or tender chicken souvlaki. The adjoining Galaxy Bar makes it easy to transition from dinner to cocktails in style.
Perfect for: Impressing clients or dates with refined Greek flavors. Mythos Kouzina & Grill

A post shared by Mythos (@mythosdubai)
Despite the influx of new Greek spots, Mythos remains the gold standard for no-frills, authentic Hellenic cuisine. The original JLT location (now joined by a City Walk sibling) feels like a cozy taverna straight out of Mykonos, complete with a charming terrace for cooler evenings. The menu is a greatest-hits compilation of Greek comfort food: gemista (stuffed tomatoes), moussaka layered with velvety béchamel, and a mixed grill platter featuring succulent lamb chops. The baked feta, drizzled with honey and sesame, is legendary.
Perfect for: A comforting, home-style Greek feast that won't break the bank. Taverna Greek Kitchen
Tucked into the picturesque waterways of Souk Madinat Jumeirah, this relaxed spot offers a taste of Greece with a side of Dubai's signature waterfront charm. The menu sticks to the classics—crispy calamari, slow-roasted lamb shoulder, flaky cheese pies—with ingredients imported directly from Greece. The laid-back atmosphere makes it ideal for a leisurely lunch or a casual dinner after exploring the souk.
Perfect for: A low-key Greek meal in one of Dubai's most scenic settings. AMMOS
With its whitewashed walls, airy interiors, and marina views, AMMOS channels the breezy elegance of a seaside Greek taverna. The kitchen sources most ingredients directly from Greece, ensuring an authentic experience—standouts include the orzo seafood and perfectly grilled Greek sea bass. The weekly Greek Night brings an extra dose of authenticity (and plate-smashing) to the mix.
Perfect for: A relaxed yet sophisticated taste of the Aegean. OIA Greek Restaurant
Named after Santorini's most famous village, OIA brings a slice of the Cyclades to Dubai with its blue-and-white terrace, olive trees, and views of Ain Dubai. The menu is packed with Aegean flavors—grilled meats, fresh seafood, and mezze—all at surprisingly reasonable prices (even the ribeye stays under AED 200). The bright pink bougainvillea adds a pop of color, making this one of the city's most Instagrammable Greek spots.
Perfect for: Affordable Greek with vacation-worthy vibes.
Whether you're craving a refined seafood supper or just a simple plate of moussaka that tastes like a Greek grandmother made it, Dubai's Greek restaurants deliver it. – For more on luxury lifestyle, news, fashion and beauty follow Emirates Woman on Facebook and Instagram

Kylie Verzosa acquires villa in Italy with friends
Beauty queen-turned-actress Kylie Verzosa has acquired a property in Italy with her friends. Verzosa revealed the purchase through an Instagram Story post, sharing photos of the newly acquired house located in Puglia, a region in southern Italy. 'Bought a house in Italy… She's finally ours,' she wrote, referring to the property named Villa Sogno or 'dream villa.' The villa, designed in traditional Puglian architectural style, features a stone façade, a central courtyard, landscaped gardens, and a turquoise pool. Its interiors blend rustic and modern elements, including arched windows, barrel-vaulted ceilings, a wooden farmhouse table, wicker chairs, and a four-poster bed with a copper bathtub. One of Verzosa's co-owners, Danish musician Tomas Barfod, gave a closer look at the property through photos on his Instagram page. The acquisition follows Verzosa's business debut last year, when she launched her shapewear clothing line.

Inside Anandes Hotel Mykonos, a 'love letter' to the Greek island
Long favoured by a well-heeled crowd drawn to its sugar-cube buildings and winding lanes, Mykonos remains the most hedonistic of the Cycladic isles. Since the 1960s, it has served as the playground for Mediterranean glamour, with blue-shuttered houses, sleepy windmills and white alleyways. With countless outdoor eateries, picturesque churches and endless sunshine it is a perennial summer destination. The island's old town, mercifully preserved, is enchanting with its painted flagstones and bougainvillaea-framed balconies. Here, visitors can drift through a warren of cobbled alleys lined with artisanal boutiques offering hand-thrown ceramics, island-foraged beauty oils and freshly made gelato, interspersed with flagships from Dior and Louis Vuitton, that nod to the international clientele. The arrival It is past midnight when I land, bleary-eyed, at Mykonos airport. When my driver assures me the hotel is a 10-minute drive away, I assume he is being generous. He isn't. Moments later, I'm gliding through the open-air lobby of Anandes Hotel Mykonos, the island's newest (and, it turns out, only) five-star address in the old town. The reception is a calming, open-plan space that spills out on to a wide deck facing the moonlit harbour. Despite the hour, the welcome is warm and personal. My bags are swept away without ceremony and I'm gently escorted to my room. The room Anandes is intentionally compact. Each of the 42 rooms has either a private balcony, plunge pool or overspill pool, all gazing out towards the Aegean Sea. My room is quietly fabulous. A linen canopy floats above the bed, nautical-striped boucle cushions soften the whitewashed palette and wooden furniture adds warmth. A personal bugbear is hotel rooms cluttered with pointless furniture, but nothing is superfluous in this one. It has a cleverly integrated corner desk and a table generous enough to eat at. The bathroom can be concealed behind a sliding panel while the television, thankfully, can also be tucked discreetly away. My concierge throws open the double doors, revealing a view over the private pool to a distant hillside, softly twinkling with lights. Even at night, it's spectacular. The dining Anandes is home to La Petite Maison, the French Riviera restaurant that has been offering convivial, flavour-first dining since the 1980s. Here it handles the in-room dining, breakfast service and a breezy terrace restaurant overlooking the pool. The menu leans generously into Greek produce and, as a vegan, I feast on delicately marinated sweet peppers (€17.5 or Dh64), a lentil salad with burnt tomatoes and apple (€21.5) and a creamy avocado salad (€23.5). My fellow guests wax lyrical over the grilled tiger prawns with coriander and green chilli (€52.5), featherlight gnocchi with cherry tomatoes (€29.5) and tuna tartare with caviar (€37.5). The spa The Heat by Sophia Lie spa is a Stockholm import that offers high-tech wellness rituals via full-spectrum infrared treatments. Built on a concept of 'sweat, sculpt, recover,' practices at the facility focus on helping the lymphatic system to remove waste and support optimal functioning. I opt for the Pre-Beach Program, a 60-minute body sculpting massage designed to stimulate lymphatic drainage via a sleek machine that rhythmically massages the body. Guests wear a fitted bodysuit for modesty and to help the head glide easily. Post-sculpt, a targeted infrared facial and sauna session, rounds out the treatment. I emerge blissed out and newly polished. The setting Carved into the hillside above town, Anandes derives its name from the Greek ἄνω (anō) meaning 'above', an apt description for the topography and attitude. Redesigned by Studio Bonarchi, the hotel is laid out over three levels in a seamless flow of lime-washed walls, hand-hammered granite floors and richly textured natural wood. The 10-minute walk home from the old town is entirely uphill and can be circumvented by summoning a golf cart. For those seeking further indulgence, Alemagou beach club is a short drive away, ideal for a long, louche lunch that drifts into a party at sundown. The verdict Anandes is the vision of Egyptian-Greek hotelier Karim El Chiaty, who first visited Mykonos as a child. His take on hospitality is part art collector's sensibility, part summer host. The hotel is peppered with pieces from his private collection and exudes a rarefied elegance. It feels more like staying with a fabulous friend than at a hotel. Thanks to the surrounding terrain, the property is insulated from the bustle of the airport and town, although parents of young children take note: steep drops render it unsuitable for guests under nine. The site's former incarnation was excavated and reimagined, with an additional floor dug into the bedrock to accommodate more rooms, the spa and discreet pool facilities. 'It's not a business,' El Chiaty explains, 'it's a love letter to Mykonos.' And after a few days here, it's easy to understand why.
