WWE assesses its roster space multiple times per year. The company constantly brings in new talent for shows such as "Monday Night Raw" and developmental programs such as "NXT" and "Evolve." As new stars enter, some seasoned veterans fall victim to roster cuts.
In the case of Karrion Kross and his wife, Scarlett, many have been wondering if the act will stick around in WWE past 2025. Fightful reports that while some backstage feel that Kross and Scarlett will have their deals renewed, the pair's contracts are coming due in August.

Kross has been able to garner some buzz online in recent months. His efforts have paid off, as fans have been reacting to his appearances on TV despite the fact that he only recently found himself in a PLE match for the first time since "WrestleMania 40." Kross is currently involved in a storyline with Sami Zayn, which was not settled following their singles match at "Night of Champions."

Scarlett plays a significant role in the presentation of the Kross character. Whenever Kross begins to let his emotions get in the way of his plans, Scarlett reminds her husband of their ultimate goal. She's also vital for Kross' entrance, which has been praised since their days on the "NXT" brand.
Those who believe Kross and Scarlett will be sticking around point to the fact that the act has new merchandise for sale on WWE Shop. It certainly doesn't hurt that the two have become regulars on the "Raw" brand.

Are Lakers buying out LeBron James? Explaining latest viral update on superstar's contract amid trade rumors

LeBron James seems like he'll stay front and center of the NBA's headlines this offseason. His agent Rich Paul's comments after LeBron opted-in to his Los Angeles Lakers contract for 2025-26 made many wonder whether James is seeking a trade. Advertisement There's also been a suggestion of a buyout, but that hasn't gained the same traction. Well, at least until a viral parody account posted on X on July 4 that James and the Lakers are working on a buyout. MORE: A major update in LeBron James' trade talks from Lakers Are Lakers buying out LeBron James? No, the Los Angeles Lakers are not buying out LeBron James. They also aren't working toward a buyout with LeBron. It would be entirely illogical for the Lakers to buy out James. He was a second-team All-NBA choice in 2024-25. Why would they get rid of him for nothing in return? While trades don't appear to be forthcoming, LeBron's name value plus talent give him legitimate trade value if he ends up requesting a deal. MLB General Managers Believe Phillies Will Trade Nick Castellanos

MLB General Managers Believe Phillies Will Trade Nick Castellanos originally appeared on Athlon Sports. If the Philadelphia Phillies have an opportunity to move on from Nick Castellanos, it feels like something Dave Dombrowski has to do. Advertisement Castellanos is a decent player, but considering he still has $ 20 million per year on his contract through 2026 and is no longer the same player he was with the Cincinnati Reds, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Phillies cut ties with him if they have the opportunity. According to Jim Bowden of The Athletic, multiple general managers around the league think it's possible that he could be moved before July 31. "The Castellanos rumors just never go away, and for that reason alone, multiple GMs think there's a chance he could get moved if Philadelphia can find a better right-field option," wrote Bowden. "Castellanos, 33, is hitting .282 with 10 home runs and a 111 OPS+. He's a well-below-average outfielder and is signed through 2026 at $20 million per year, so Philadelphia would have to pay down his contract to move him." Advertisement Philadelphia Phillies right fielder Nick Castellanos (8)Credit: Brett Davis-Imagn Images If Castellanos were to get traded, finding the perfect package in return would be tough. A veteran big leaguer going for prospects at this stage doesn't make sense for the Phillies. However, Castellanos only makes sense on a contending team. Perhaps a contending team would be willing to send a few bullpen arms or something, but even then, that seems very unlikely given the circumstances here. That'll be up to Dombrowski to figure out, but it's interesting to hear that general managers around the league think it's possible that he could be traded. Today's ‘Wordle' #1477 Hints, Clues And Answer For Saturday, July 5th

How to solve today's Wordle. Looking for Friday's Wordle hints, clues and answer? You can find them here: I hope everyone had a lovely 4th of July holiday. As I write this post for Saturday, I am also in the middle of frantically preparing for our 4th of July barbecue, so I'm going to make it short and sweet. Huzzah! How To Solve Today's Wordle The Hint: Useful for hay, I guess. The Clue: This Wordle begins and ends with consonants. Okay, spoilers below! The answer is coming! . . . Today's Wordle Every day I check Wordle Bot to help analyze my guessing game. You can check your Wordles with Wordle Bot right here. CRIME didn't pay, which I should have known. 225 words remained, though I did have two yellow boxes. I tried mostly new letters with STEAK and got one new yellow box in the process. BEARD was lucky, giving me the green 'B' I needed, and at this point I honestly only could come up with one word, though Wordle Bot later told me there were two. Thankfully, BALER was the Wordle! (Not to be confused with BALLER). Huzzah again! We tied, so the Wordle Bot and I get no points for that and no points for guessing in four. Our July totals remain: Erik: -2 points Wordle Bot: 4 points The word "baler" comes from the verb "bale," meaning to make something into bales (bundles). "Bale" traces back to Middle English bale and Old French bale, from Old High German bala meaning 'bundle.' The suffix '-er' denotes an agent—so a baler is someone or something (like a machine) that makes bales. Let me know how you fared with your Wordle today on Twitter, Instagram or Facebook.
