Vikas Bahl To Direct Ajay Devgn Starrer Shaitaan 2, Shoot Begins In 2026: Report

Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan starrer Shaitaan was a huge hit at the box office. The supernatural thriller film received an overwhelming response. Well, for a long time rumours have been going on that the sequel is in the making, but an official confirmation is still awaited. Recently, Peeping Moon has reported that the shoot will begin in 2026 and Vikas Bahl will be directing it.
PeepingMoon.com mentioned that Shaitaan 2 is scheduled to go on floors in 2026. The sequel will reportedly be set in the Konkan region of Maharashtra, an area infamous for its association with black magic rituals. Shaitaan 2 will be an original story and not a remake of the upcoming Gujarati horror sequel Vash Level 2. Report also claims that Vikas Bahl will return as the director and is expected to begin work on Shaitaan 2 after the release of his romantic comedy Dil Ka Darwaaza Khol Na Darling.
Released on March 8, Shaitaan was presented by Jio Studios, Devgn Films and Panorama Studios. It was produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak and directed by Vikas Bahl. It is a psychological thriller in which 'Shaitaan' R Madhavan takes charge of Ajay Devgn's daughter.
Shaitaan also marked Jyotika's first Bollywood film in 25 years. She made her acting debut with Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, in Hindi, back in 1997.
Reportedly, Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn is back at it again with Golmaal 5. According to a Pinkvilla report, the fifth installment of the Golmaal franchise is all set to roll out in early 2026. But before that, Shetty is busy wrapping up the Rakesh Maria biopic starring John Abraham, which is scheduled to be completed by September 2025.
Devgn will, of course, be back leading the pack of the famously dysfunctional Golmaal gang—Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade, and the legendary Johnny Lever.
The Golmaal series kicked off way back in 2006 with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited and has since delivered three more laugh riots, with the last one, Golmaal Again, releasing in 2017.

Not every journey to stardom begins in Mumbai. For Anjala Zaveri, it started in Hampshire, England, where she grew up in a conservative Gujarati family. But her heart was somewhere else, dancing with dreams shaped by Hindi films. 'I grew up watching Bollywood movies. I used to buy videos from shops, and that's how I fell in love with cinema,' she once shared in an interview. Though academics were the priority back then, fate had something else planned. Discovered by Vinod Khanna, launched with Akshaye Anjala got her big break most unexpected way. While scouting talent in the UK, Vinod Khanna handpicked her for his film Himalaya Putra, which also introduced his son Akshaye Khanna. The film didn't work commercially, but her face and presence did not go unnoticed. Soon after, she appeared in Betaabi and then bagged a role in one of the year's biggest hits, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998), sharing screen space with Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, and Kajol. Saiyaara star Aneet Padda's next release will be on OTT? YRF sources assure ‘she is a big screen heroine'
Rumour has it that Aneet Padda's next will be an OTT release. Titled Nyaya, the series will be directed by Nitya Mehra of Baar Baar Dekho fame and her husband Karan Kapadia. While it could be a good project for any young actor to secure, Aneet fans might be disappointed that she is moving to streaming platforms after delivering a massive theatrical debut hit like Saiyaara. However, that is not the whole truth. Aneet Padda is being called a ' ₹ 400 crore star' over at YRF. What's next for Aneet? Speaking to HT Digital, industry sources have revealed that this project in question was shot before Aneet signed Saiyaara. YRF, the production company behind Saiyaara, aims to prop up Aneet as a theatrical heroine post the film's success. 'Aneet is a big screen heroine for YRF. Nyaya was shot before she signed Saiyaara and it has no bearing on her career trajectory as a theatrical heroine going forward. A girl who is delivering probably a ₹400 crore hit in theatres, is a true Gen Z star at the age of just 22, will be preserved for theatricals. There are huge plans to make her the face of a generation and that can be achieved only by consolidating her theatrical equity,' informed a source. About Nyaya Nyaya will star Aneet with Fatima Sana Shaikh and Arjun Mathur. It is a fictionalised series based on real-life events. "The show was filmed last year and is now slated to premiere on a major OTT platform soon. It promises to be a gripping story about the complexities of faith and the law. Fatima plays a determined police officer, while Aneet takes on the gritty role of a 17-year-old girl fighting for justice after being sexually assaulted by a powerful spiritual leader," a report on mentioned. Aneet plays Vaani, a young journalist in Saiyaara, alongside Ahaan Panday. The film is directed by Mohit Suri and has performed better than anyone's expectations. As per a report on the film has crossed ₹215 crore mark.
