Animal Kingdom (2016-2022)
Animal Kingdom is a gritty crime thriller that ran for six seasons on TNT. With all due respect to TNT, the ratings were never anything impressive. Now that Animal Kingdom is on Netflix, it will gain more eyeballs, so expect the show to find itself in the top 10.
Based on the Academy Award-nominated film of the same name, Animal Kingdom revolves around Joshua 'J' Cody (Last Breath's Finn Cole), a 17-year-old teenager forced to relocate to Southern California to live with his estranged relatives. Led by Janine 'Smurf' Cody (Ellen Barkin), J's relatives carry out heists and other illegal activities. To remain in the house, J must pull his weight, meaning he'll have to partake in the family business.

Muscles & Mayhem: An Unauthorized Story of American Gladiators (2023)
For those who have seen American Gladiators, this eye-opening documentary will raise a few eyebrows about what went wrong. For those new to the topic, American Gladiators was a competition show from the late 1980s to the mid-1990s that pitted average contestants against 'gladiators,' costumed athletes with elite speed, strength, and agility.
The stylish show was extremely entertaining thanks to games like Tug of War, Powerball, and the Eliminator. The real drama existed behind the scenes, as the steroid-fueled gladiators went to war with the network. It's a fun rise-and-fall documentary about an enjoyable show.

The Flash (2014-2023)
Forget Ezra Miller's movie. The best version of The Flash aired on CW. Grant Gustin starred as Barry Allen, a forensic investigator who gains superhuman speed after a lab explosion. As The Flash, Barry becomes the de facto superhero of Central City.
By utilizing the 'villain of the week' format early on, The Flash established a lightheartedness and delightfulness that was nonexistent in the 2023 movie, making for an entertaining viewing experience. Unfortunately, the CW dropped all of their superhero shows, so no more new episodes will be coming.

As a huge Caitlin Clark fan and WNBA collector, I'd love to buy in, but I can't even afford a break, let alone a full box. Break pricing for Rookie Royalty spots is popping up on various apps, and it looks like some shops are splitting two-card boxes into up to 58 spots, perhaps the worst odds to hit of all time. Still, with multiple Caitlin Clark cards selling for six figures in the last few weeks alone, a few people are going to have their lives changed by this product in the next few weeks — if not already. With that off my chest, let's dive into some of the other news we found interesting this week. Remember that crazy-looking Dune 2 sandworm popcorn bucket? There's something utterly 2025 about a white hedge-fund billionaire dropping the average person's dinner money on Lincoln's 13th Amendment. If it belongs in a museum, odds are it'll fetch a small fortune at auction later this year. Remember when a Twitter crypto community tried to buy the Constitution and mint it into a coin? Well, this is the same guy who outbid them and spoiled everyone's fun. So if you ever unearth a piece of American history in your grandfather's basement, tuck it away, one day a billionaire might be willing to pay handsomely for it. A ballpark bobblehead taps into the sports fan inside us all. It's a time-honored tradition even your parents remember fondly. But today's collectors want more than a run-of-the-mill player figure. No doubt, the Yankees front office knew this would be a smash hit the second it was suggested. Jason Alexander cards (yes, George Costanza himself) fly off the auction block and are nearly impossible to track down . They fetch high prices for the same reason Netflix's 'Pieces of Shit for Breakfast' cereal boxes from Fanatics Fest sell for $40 bucks on eBay . Millennials love nostalgia and they love collecting. MLB All-Star voting resumed Monday, and while Ohtani and Judge are locks, the real market movers may be the breakout stars. Pete Crow-Armstrong's 1st Bowman Draft auto has jumped from around $300 to $550 this season, and a big All-Star performance could make the perfect time to sell. Jacob Wilson's Chrome 1st auto surged 218% in three months, making his red rookie a bargain entry at $50-$60 IF he wins ROY. Keep an eye on Acuña Jr for a Home Run Derby spike, and don't sleep on Javier Báez's redemption narrative fueling his rookie autos. Collectible Grading Authority, best known for its AFA toy grading and VGA video game grading, just passed into new hands, led by Kenner Star Wars toy guru Tom Derby. In 2025, as graded collectibles soar in value, reliable authentication has never mattered more. CGA, spun out of Diamond Comics' bankruptcy, will stay in Georgia with its expert team and aims to expand services and innovate grading standards. 7 upcoming movies and shows that feature New Orleans
New Orleans is about to take center stage as a wave of movies and TV shows debut with the Crescent City as their backdrop. Why it matters: It's welcome news for the city's film industry, which has seen a post-pandemic slowdown. The big picture: While New Orleans was recently the country's fourth largest production hub, rising costs and industry shifts have pushed many projects overseas or to other states, writes Verite's Jasmine Robinson. The industry is also figuring out its future amid the growth of streaming services. Gov. Jeff Landry signed a bill into law in June that gives the state flexibility with its tax credit program to help lure more film productions, Robinson writes. Between the lines: Productions for three shows based on books by New Orleans author Anne Rice appear to be moving elsewhere. The next season of "Mayfair Witches" will be set in Salem, Massachusetts, and a new show was shot in the U.K., according to TV Insider. It also dives into how Black culture has shaped New Orleans and the nation, according to the film's description. The film debuted at South by Southwest last year and started streaming June 19 on Netflix. In the works 🎸 "Spinal Tap II": The sequel to "This is Spinal Tap" is scheduled to premiere in September, Variety says. The movie filmed in New Orleans and brought several big names to the city, including Elton John and Paul McCartney. The movie is supposedly inspired by NBC's "To Catch a Predator," a quasi-reality show from the early 2000s that aimed to expose alleged sexual predators with undercover cameras, Variety reported. 🂣 "Last Hand": This movie wrapped up filming in New Orleans last week, according to information from the state. It's about a bridge player who leads her team of misfits to the world bridge championships to save her sister's New Orleans bridge club, according to IMBD. 🔫 "NOLA King" on Paramount+: Samuel L. Jackson will star in this New Orleans-set crime drama, according to Deadline. It's a spinoff of Sylvester Stallone's "Tulsa King" show. 🍿 "Ella McCay": This Disney movie filmed in New Orleans last year and stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, Emma Mackey and Kumail Nanjiani.
