Charles Barkley dunked on Spike Lee before Game 5 about Knicks' title chances
The Academy Award-winning director, producer and screenwriter said he would give up one of his most prized possessions for his team to win an NBA Finals before the Knicks' Game 5 win over the Pacers on Thursday.

'I would give up an Academy Award, an Oscar, for the Knicks to win a championship,' Lee said, dressed in a full Knicks-themed suit on the TNT postgame show. 'I have two already, but I'd give [one up].'
'You're gonna keep them,' Barkley, who also separately grilled Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns postgame, responded.
The Knicks cut the Pacers' Eastern Conference finals lead to 3-2 in the series with a dominant 111-94 performance.
'I'm sorry, I'm sorry,' Barkley said. 'I was thinking that I should've used my internal voice.'

Shedeur Sanders unfazed by lack of first-team reps at Browns camp
Associated Press BEREA, Ohio (AP) — If Shedeur Sanders is frustrated about not receiving any snaps with the first team during the first week of the Cleveland Browns' training camp, he isn't showing it. Sanders said on Friday that it is out of his control and not his place to answer why he has worked mainly with the third and fourth teams during the first three days of practice. 'I'm not even going to think about that or have that even in my thought process of why it is,' Sanders said. 'It doesn't make me feel down or it doesn't make me feel left out or anything because I know who I am as a person. I know who I am as an individual, and I know what I could bring to this team.' Sanders — selected by the Browns in the fifth round after a precipitous fall in April's draft — did get some work with the second team for the first time on Friday. He had one of the best throws of the 80-minute practice on a completion down the middle to tight end Blake Whiteheart during 11-on-11 drills. Sanders showed he could bounce back after a bad day of practice. He was unable to throw a pass during a four-play red zone drill on Thursday after snap issues on two plays, a false start, and what would have been a sack. 'I know whenever I get my opportunity, I've got to maximize it,' he said. 'I just got to think about what I could do to get better even if I'm not getting reps.' Coach Kevin Stefanski didn't say if Sanders would receive any first-team snaps. Stefanski did note, though, that he has been happy with Sanders' progress over the past couple of months. 'Yeah, I think Shedeur does a nice job of keeping the main thing, the main thing. He's working hard and keeping his head down,' Stefanski said. There have been 13 sets of 11-on-11 drills during the first three days. Joe Flacco has had the most work with the first team with seven, Kenny Pickett has had five and third-round pick Dillon Gabriel one. Flacco and Pickett are the two main combatants in the four-man competition to see who will be the starter for the Sept. 7 opener against the Cincinnati Bengals. All four are getting plenty of snaps on the two practice fields, but there is a difference in who they are working with. Sanders said the one advantage of not getting many snaps is that he has had the opportunity to learn more in-depth about everything instead of on the fly like he did at Jackson State and Colorado, where his father, Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders, instantly made him the starter. Shedeur Sanders added that the area where he has made the most improvement is being more comfortable with the playbook. 'It's always consistent growth, and it always feels like I just solved a puzzle or anything, like, all the time,' he said. Quarterback coach Bill Musgrave — who was Deion Sanders' teammate during San Francisco's Super Bowl-winning season in 1994 — has been impressed with Sanders' ability to call the play in the huddle as well as calling plays under center. He also added he has seen the same progress from Gabriel, a third-round pick. When it comes to the outside pressures Sanders might face — including heightened expectations from fans — Musgrave said that everyone has pressure, but the approach has to remain the same. 'The focus has got to be on the techniques, the five-step drop, the seven-step drop, being accurate with our throws,' Musgrave said. 'If we can focus on our trade, the external factors take a back seat, which is where they should remain.' While some may waver from the expectations, Sanders has embraced them. He has made a couple of appearances in the Cleveland area, including hosting a community event to benefit residents displaced after an apartment complex fire. He also accepted responsibility for two speeding tickets last month. However, things that are happening off the field are the last thing on Sanders' mind over the next five weeks. 'The external is cool. I'm thankful for it,' he said. 'But hey, when I get out there, I'm not thinking about external. Jamie Lee Curtis confirms she'll star in 'Murder, She Wrote' movie: 'Oh, it's happening'

The mystery of who will star in the lead role of a Murder, She Wrote film adaptation has been solved. When asked point-blank what the chances are that fans could see her pick up the mantel of Jessica Fletcher, the mystery writer and amateur detective first brought to life by the late Angela Lansbury in the long-running CBS series of the same name, Jamie Lee Curtis didn't hold back. "Oh, it's… happening," Curtis playfully confirmed to Entertainment Tonight at the world premiere of Freakier Friday. "We're a minute away, but yeah, [I'm] very excited. Very excited. But I'm tamping down my enthusiasm until we start shooting. I have a couple of other things to hustle, but then I'll get to enjoy that work." Deadline first reported in December that the Oscar winner was in talks to star in a Murder, She Wrote film at Universal written by Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo, with producers Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. Previously, in October 2013, it was reported that NBC was planning a reboot of the series, but by January 2014 it was revealed that it was not moving forward. The original Murder, She Wrote, which ran for 12 seasons from 1984 to 1996, focused on Lansbury's Jessica Fletcher, who became embroiled in various murder cases that took place in the fictional town of Cabot Cove, Maine, as well as other locales around the globe. Created by Peter S. Fischer, Richard Levinson and William Link, the crime drama also starred Tom Bosley, William Windom and Ron Masak. Considered one of the most successful and long-running series in history, Murder, She Wrote was a hit with the industry and public alike. At the height of its popularity, it averaged 30 million viewers per week, according to the L.A. Times. Though she never won, the role earned Lansbury a whopping 12 Emmy nominations for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series. The update from Curtis is a positive one for the reboot. As she alluded to, though, Curtis has much on her plate at the moment before she can pick up a magnifying glass. First up for the star is reprising her role of Tess Coleman in Freakier Friday, the sequel to the beloved 2003 film starring Lindsay December, she'll be seen in James L. Brooks' dramedy film Ella McCay alongside Emma Mackey, Woody Harrelson, Kumail Nanjiani, Spike Fearn, Ayo Edebiri, Jack Lowden, Rebecca Hall, Julie Kavner, Becky Ann Baker, Joey Brooks, and Albert Brooks. Rachel Zegler Is Set to Return to 'Evita' After Leaving Mid-Show
Rachel Zegler's gig as the titular character in Jamie Lloyd's revival of Evita at the London Palladium has been all over our social feeds thanks to her stunning performances, but she made headlines for a different reason during her latest show. On July 24, the Cosmopolitan cover girl suddenly exited the stage mid-show as she had fallen ill. According to People, Rachel's departure was announced during intermission, and her understudy, Bella Brown, stepped into the role despite appearing as Perón's Mistress earlier in the night. After a 45-minute intermission, Bella transformed into Evita just in time for the Tony-winning musical's second act. A source in the audience told E! News, 'The interval lasted almost 40 to 45 minutes and then the balcony scene with Bella began. You would have thought the roof was going to cave in from the applause. Even more so when she entered on stage for the first time after the balcony scene.' She opened with the iconic number, 'Don't Cry for Me, Argentina,' marking her second time playing Eva Perón after she made her debut on July 14. In this production, Jamie Lloyd and Andrew Lloyd Webber pulled a page from his Sunset Blvd. book and takes the performance outdoors. At this point in the show, Eva sings to a crowd of Argentinians from the balcony of the Presidential Palace, which is actually the London Palladium's balcony IRL. Since Evita's opening night on July 1, the general public has swarmed the outside of the venue on Argyll Street to catch a glimpse of the stars in action. After Bella carried the rest of the show in Rachel's absence, she received a standing ovation that lasted nearly five minutes, and according to fans on social media, the cast had bowed 10 separate times during the curtain call. She expressed her appreciation for the cast, crew, and crowd with a series of Instagram Stories following the performance. 'Today really showed just how important swings and covers are within this industry,' the actress later wrote in an Instagram Story. 'They are pillars of a show!! A proud day to be at Evita.' In a separate post, she added, 'What a lucky audience getting to see both myself and MY ANGEL REG ZEG!!' While we hope Rachel has a speedy recovery, her rep confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that she is scheduled to return and perform Friday evening.
