Emmerdale fans are in for a gripping twist as a spoiler clip reveals a tense and explosive altercation between Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) and his former henchman, Shaun, before Sam Dingle (James Hooton) steps in to save the day and prove his loyalty to Joe.
The early-release clip shows Joe confronting Shaun after discovering a blackmail note demanding £100,000 left ominously in the kitchen at Home Farm.
The unsettling discovery leaves Joe rattled, fearing that someone has breached his inner circle and infiltrated his home.
With no idea who he can truly trust, he turns to Sam Dingle for advice, but the pair are left with more questions than answers.
Joe quickly begins to suspect that Shaun, once a loyal enforcer, may be the one turning against him. Accusing him of betrayal, Joe sacks Shaun on the spot. But things quickly spiral out of control.
In a fierce confrontation, Shaun lashes out and threatens Joe until Sam arrives, shotgun in hand, diffusing the escalating tension just in the nick of time.
Though the situation is briefly brought under control, Joe's paranoia only deepens. After a candid conversation with Sam, he makes the decision to leave the village for a few days and tells Dawn Fletcher he has a last-minute business trip to attend.
However, just as Joe is preparing to leave, tragedy strikes. Shaun returns with a vengeance, this time armed with a shovel and ambushes Joe, knocking him out cold. More Trending
When Joe regains consciousness, he finds himself in a dark, makeshift hospital room. Looming over him is none other than the sinister Doctor Crowley, a figure from Joe's past.
Joe is undoubtedly frightened and will question: What does Doctor Crowley want, and could this all be linked to the kidney transplant he received from him?
With his past catching up to him and danger lurking from all sides, Joe may soon come to regret his past dealings, particularly where Doctor Crowley is concerned.

Wayne Rooney 'lands £800,000 Match of the Day deal' after Gary Lineker's exit

Match of the Day is said to be welcoming a very famous face to its presenting roster following Gary Lineker's exit. Wayne Rooney has reportedly signed a big-money deal with the BBC in a bid to start a new chapter away from football management. It's said the former England player, 39, has secured £800,000 for the gig, which will see him appear on MOTD for two years with the possibility of an extension. What's more, Rooney should be involved in the show's 2026 World Cup coverage, jetting to the US, Canada, and Mexico to bring viewers the highlights. A source told The Sun about the rumoured punditry deal: 'Wayne is a natural broadcaster; he is warm, witty, and forensically knowledgeable about all aspects of the game. 'He still has a deep love for football and also gets on well with everyone on both sides of the camera.' They added: 'He is eminently likeable and has impressed on his outings to date—viewers have also really taken to him, which has been clear from social media commentary. 'Wayne will be a key part of next year's World Cup coverage, which is a massive coup, and will provide some much-needed expertise on Match of the Day in the wake of Gary's departure.' It's believed that 'everyone', including the Beeb's Director of Sport, Alex Kay-Jelski, is 'incredibly excited to get him on board', with the insider declaring it a 'great signing'. Rooney's new MOTD role will reportedly be unveiled officially later this month. Whispers actually began at the start of the year, with the same publication claiming Rooney was in talks for a MOTD slot as early as January. At the time, he was freshly sacked from his fourth management job, having secured just one win with Plymouth Argyle in 14 games. It was later reported that Rooney was looking to venture further into punditry, and it was said the role could've earned him up to £200,000 a year, depending on how many appearances he were to make. But now, that figure looks to have increased drastically. Having already proven he can talk the talk in various guest appearances previously, Rooney's next role is likely a natural progression. It also takes him and wife Coleen one step closer to a total TV takeover, given how she reportedly signed a £10million deal with Disney in March to star in a documentary with Wayne and their four sons: Kai, 15, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six. Rooney is widely considered one of Britain's greatest-ever footballers. Not only was he Manchester United's best goalscorer with 253 goals, but he was also England's record goalscorer from 2015 to 2023. He retired from professional footie in 2021 after being appointed permanent manager of Derby, and now frequently dabbles in punditry. By joining MOTD this year, he is part of a huge shake-up at the long-running programme, which was hosted by Lineker, 64, for 26 years. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The broadcaster fronted his final show on May 26, visibly tearful as he reflected on his career and thanked those with whom he had worked. Lineker confirmed he would be leaving the BBC completely after catching backlash for sharing an Instagram Story about Zionism. More Trending His since-deleted post featured a rat emoji, which has been historically used as an antisemitic trope. The host later issued an unreserved apology for the 'hurt and upset caused' by the video, stating it was a 'genuine mistake' and that he was unaware of the meaning behind it. In his place, Gabby Logan, Kelly Cates, and Mark Chapman will share the presenting role on Match of the Day from the next Premier League season. Coronation Street confirms unexpected flashback twist as the past is revisited

There's a huge mystery in upcoming Coronation Street episodes. Why did Gary Windass (Mikey North) end up in a coma in hospital after apparently vanishing into thin air? And why does the woman who's with him insist his name is Chesney? And does Gary's current predicament have anything to do with the night of Aadi (Adam Hussain)'s party, when Nina (Mollie Gallagher) and Summer (Harriet Bibby) became convinced they'd seen a dead body? Maria (Samia Longchambon) has been going frantic with worry, not having heard from Gary since he headed off wanting to put some space between them after a series of arguments. The arguments were mainly about Lou Michaelis (Farrel Hegarty). Maria was furious that Gary seemed to be spending so much time with the woman whose husband killed Craig Tinker (Colson Smith). She didn't trust Lou's motives and thought she was exploiting Gary's kindness. And the more Maria objected to Gary seeing Lou, the more he pushed back. Since he left Maria has hardly heard from him, and when he doesn't get in touch on Liam (Charlie Wrenshall)'s birthday she's convinced something bad has happened to him. She reports him as a missing person. Nina overhears Maria saying that there haven't been any transactions on Gary's bank account since June 23 – which was the night of the party. She tells Summer what she's learned and worries that it was Gary they saw that night when they were high on drugs. Summer reminds her that there were no reports of an assault and when they went back to look there was no trace of Gary or anyone else. Then we see Gary, unconscious in hospital. A nurse assures his visitor that 'Chesney' is making progress. More Trending And when DC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) contacts the hospital about the unidentified coma patient who's been admitted, a staff member says that the person on their ward is called Chesney. EastEnders' Samantha Womack 'warned' about boyfriend

EastEnders star Samantha Womack has been 'warned' by fans in the street about her boyfriend Oliver Farnworth, due to his role as serial killer John Sugden in Emmerdale EastEnders' Samantha Womack has revealed that she gets stopped in the street and warned about her Emmerdale actor boyfriend, Oliver Farnworth, who plays the role of a serial killer in the ITV soap. Samantha, 52, is best known for playing the fan-favourite role of Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders, but was sadly killed off on New Year's Day in 2017 along with her sister Roxy. They both died in a dramatic swimming pool accident at Ronnie's wedding to Jack Branning. ‌ Samantha's partner Oliver is now involved in his own soap scandal as he has committed several murders in the Dales as character John Sugden. The former Ronnie Mitchel actress has since revealed that she has been 'warned' about him as she gave an insight into their relationship. ‌ She told The Sun: 'I do get warned about him. But Oli is actually so strict about confidentiality. So he comes back every few days, and he won't tell me what's happening with anything. He's like 'I just can't let you know,' and I'll say 'come on, I'm not going to tell anybody.'' Samantha continued: 'But I really think this is one of his favourite jobs to date. I visited the set and it's beautiful. They have rolling hills and cute cottages. It's very different to EastEnders. And what is funny is he gets a lot of attention when he goes up north, but when we go down south everyone knows me from EastEnders so it changes where we go.' The couple, who have been dating since 2019 after co-starring in 'The Girl On The Train' on London's West End stage, now reportedly live happily in Spain. Samantha recently admitted that it was not her decision to leave EastEnders and that she felt 'rejected' by the boss, Sean O'Connor. She told The Mail that she didn't 'understand' what happened and she felt like she was losing 'a family' when she left. ‌ The soap star said: 'It was really hard for us because it wasn't in our hands. We didn't make the decision to go. I don't really understand what happened, one producer was leaving and another was coming in, I don't know what went on." Adding: "At the time it felt like bereavement, it felt like losing a family member. It was like losing family and losing stability. But the thing that was the most painful - and it really was painful - was that me and Rita loved feeling like we belonged there.' Since leaving the soap, Samantha has battled breast cancer after being diagnosed in August 2022. Her diagnosis came about during a routine check-up, despite her not having any symptoms. She luckily found the disease early and was declared cancer-free in December that same year.
