EastEnders' Samantha Womack 'warned' about boyfriend
EastEnders' Samantha Womack has revealed that she gets stopped in the street and warned about her Emmerdale actor boyfriend, Oliver Farnworth, who plays the role of a serial killer in the ITV soap.
Samantha, 52, is best known for playing the fan-favourite role of Ronnie Mitchell in EastEnders, but was sadly killed off on New Year's Day in 2017 along with her sister Roxy. They both died in a dramatic swimming pool accident at Ronnie's wedding to Jack Branning.
Samantha's partner Oliver is now involved in his own soap scandal as he has committed several murders in the Dales as character John Sugden. The former Ronnie Mitchel actress has since revealed that she has been 'warned' about him as she gave an insight into their relationship.
She told The Sun: 'I do get warned about him. But Oli is actually so strict about confidentiality. So he comes back every few days, and he won't tell me what's happening with anything. He's like 'I just can't let you know,' and I'll say 'come on, I'm not going to tell anybody.''
Samantha continued: 'But I really think this is one of his favourite jobs to date. I visited the set and it's beautiful. They have rolling hills and cute cottages. It's very different to EastEnders. And what is funny is he gets a lot of attention when he goes up north, but when we go down south everyone knows me from EastEnders so it changes where we go.'
The couple, who have been dating since 2019 after co-starring in 'The Girl On The Train' on London's West End stage, now reportedly live happily in Spain.
Samantha recently admitted that it was not her decision to leave EastEnders and that she felt 'rejected' by the boss, Sean O'Connor. She told The Mail that she didn't 'understand' what happened and she felt like she was losing 'a family' when she left.
The soap star said: 'It was really hard for us because it wasn't in our hands. We didn't make the decision to go. I don't really understand what happened, one producer was leaving and another was coming in, I don't know what went on."
Adding: "At the time it felt like bereavement, it felt like losing a family member. It was like losing family and losing stability. But the thing that was the most painful - and it really was painful - was that me and Rita loved feeling like we belonged there.'
Since leaving the soap, Samantha has battled breast cancer after being diagnosed in August 2022.
Her diagnosis came about during a routine check-up, despite her not having any symptoms. She luckily found the disease early and was declared cancer-free in December that same year.

Emmerdale star ‘torn' over future of engaged couple as a secret looms large
Emmerdale's Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) currently has no idea boyfriend Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) is hiding a huge secret from her in Emmerdale. A few weeks ago, Vinny and friend Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) spent the day together. Vinny then got caught up in a moment and tried to kiss his friend, a move that left both of them surprised. In the aftermath, Vinny has tried his best to ignore his confusion and doubt in his mind. Wanting to help, Kammy has attempted to get Vinny to talk about it and his sexuality, but he's continuously shut his friend down. Vinny ignoring it all in the lead up to the engagement party has left Gabby none the wiser. Given this is a soap though, there will always be the possibility of Gabby discovering how Vinny really feels. And given Gabby's history when it comes to relationships, it's left star Rosie Bentham feeling sorry for her alter-ego. 'I just think 'Poor Gabby.' It would really, really rock her. I think because she's been through it before she would probably just give up', she told us recently. 'I think she has more of an understanding relationship with Vinny. The one with Nicky was a very vindictive plan. He was never interested in Gabby, really. She added: 'They started out as best mates and they'll always have that underlying love for each other whether it's romantic or not. I think if Vinny is questioning things and really struggling, some communication needs to happen. 'But this stuff with Kammy, I don't know how it would be initially received. I can imagine Gabby feeling really let down and this big wedding and everything she's expecting to happen, moving in together and him being such a father figure to Thomas – if that came crashing down I think she would really struggle.' Liam and Noel Gallagher recently reunited after 16 years of feuding for an Oasis tour, with the first two nights being in Cardiff Liam and Noel Gallagher's children, Gene and Anais, were spotted belting out the lyrics to Oasis songs in a sweet moment shared online. The Gallagher brothers finally reunited after 16 years of feuding and performed their first two nights of their reunion tour at Cardiff's Principality Stadium this weekend. Their friends and family members, including Liam's son Gene and Noel's daughter Anais, were among the 70,000 fans attending the gigs each night. While Oasis were performing Cigarettes & Alcohol, Gene and Anais went all out as they danced and sang along to the popular track. In a moment filmed for the camera, the two leaned towards each other as they screamed out the chorus. Fans were obsessed with the sweet moment, with one fan sharing the video online and writing: "Anaïs and gene you're so real for this," while another fan said: "Oh i love them so much." "Awe love this," one user commented while another joked about the VIP section they were standing in: "Thought they'd be closer to the front!" After Oasis' first performance on Friday, Anais shared her review of the reunion gig as she shared a snap of herself, holding a pint while sporting an Oasis shirt as she watched her dad and uncle perform on stage. Giving a review of the special night, Anais, 25, captioned the snap: "It's good to be back." Responding to her post, many fans agreed as one replied, saying: "It was amazing, epic, hope you enjoyed it" while another simply declared: "EPIC!" In the audience on the first night was the likes of EastEnders star Danny Dyer as well as Line Of Duty actress Vicky McClure. Vernon Kay also posed for pictures outside the Principality Stadium. Meanwhile, Sienna Miller admitted she attended both nights of the concert, joking to the Mirror: "It was alright," before revealing she was there for both Cardiff gigs. "It's the greatest show I've ever seen. The love and the nostalgia and the joy, it's like saving the world."
