The Brits are here.
The London-based, high-tech shuffleboard bar Electric Shuffle just opened in River North at 488 N La Salle Drive, serving cocktails and food alongside exciting gaming opportunities.
The 7,000-square-foot space delivers a vibrant, retro-inspired setting for gaming and gathering with friends. Evoking the vibe of a house party, you'll find vinyl records, vintage art and Chicago-centric décor all throughout the destination, accented by neon signs and a glowing main bar that serves as a centerpiece.
The custom shuffleboard tables—boasting a camera vision technology created by a rocket scientist!—can accommodate groups of two to 20 folks each for 90-minute sessions, so grab as many friends as you want on your way in. The destination can also host up to 250 guests at once, linking tables together for a tournament, complete with live leaderboards throughout the venue. Seems like the city's top bowling alleys have some competition now.
In addition to it all, Chicagoans can hang out on the on-site patio, which features a pergola and seating for 25, ideal for people watching and sipping cocktails.
Speaking of drinks: expect classics and more modern creations to share space on the imbibing menu. There's the Spicy Lucy margarita made with house-infused jalapeño tequila, for example, and the salted caramel espresso martini, which adds a salty spin to a fan favorite. Weekday happy hour specials abound as well.
On the food front, expect elevated bar fare, including truffle parmesan fries, hot honey pepperoni pizza and vegan chile-glazed tempura cauliflower. Feeling fancy? Order a slice of Milk Bar's Shuffle Celebration Cake—complete with a sparkler.
'We created Electric Shuffle as a place that feels like a timeless house party, where friends and colleagues can connect—whether it's over happy hour, weekend brunch, a team outing or game night,' said Gene Ball, president of Electric Shuffle U.S., in an official press release. 'We design our spaces, games, food and drinks to feel familiar, fun, and, most importantly, welcoming.'

Is my boyfriend a freak, or is his kink simply too freaky for me?

1 DEAR DEIDRE: I'VE always liked a bit of rough, but I think my latest boyfriend's preferences may be too extreme for me. When he first told me he was into CBT I thought he was talking about counselling. Then it quickly became apparent that he wanted me to kick him in the balls. We've been together for four months and our sex life has been so exciting. He loves me dressing up in sexy underwear and high heels. The first time he asked me to dominate him was thrilling. I walked all over his back - in my stilettos and afterwards we had the most intense sex I've ever experienced. I knew I was in for a kinky ride the first time I saw him naked. He has a ring at the end of his penis which he told me would give me the best orgasms of my life - he wasn't wrong. I'm 44 and he's 46 and we get on just as well out of the bedroom as inside it. The attraction between us is insane but I'm concerned I've reached my limit since he explained he wants me to hurt him down below. I mean how do you get pleasure from that? He says he's had two relationships where his exes were happy to participate and that they enjoyed the sense of dominance and control. He's asked me to try it just once to see if it is for me but I'm too nervous to even go there. What if I seriously injure him? I know he says there is a strong bond between pleasure and pain but his requests are making me feel extremely uneasy. He has lived with anxiety his whole life and says that letting go in the bedroom is one of the few pleasures that give him a real break. So far I've avoided what he calls 'ball play' but I can tell he's not going to let up. What should I do? Give it a chance or run for the hills? DEIDRE SAYS: To start off no one should do anything sexually they are not comfortable with. So if this suggestion is something that churns your stomach and you simply can't face it then you need to be honest with your boyfriend. Discuss if there is a compromise. You clearly have a lively sex life as it stands. Does he need this to get satisfaction or is it simply an option he enjoys? Ball play is better known than you may realise. And while of course there are obvious dangers, devotees say they experience intense pleasure from the practice. For some CBT is about constriction of the penis or testicles, for others it's about inflicting pain on the penis or testicles. If you decide you do want to try the practice, be very clear about your limits and ask him about his. Make sure you have safe words and go slowly to begin with and carefully monitor any reactions. Dear Deidre's Fetish Files Deidre's mailbag is bursting with kinky sex problems. And one woman discovered her husband's affair with a woman on a fetish website. Kerry Katona takes a brutal swipe at Brooklyn Beckham as she weighs in on nepotism row

Kerry Katona didn't hold back as she took a brutal swipe at Brooklyn Beckham during her latest interview with The Sun on Friday. In a joint interview with her best friend Katie Price, the reality star mothers weighed in on the nepotism debate as they discussed their hopes for their daughters to appear on Love Island. Speaking about giving Heidi, 18, a leg up in the industry, Kerry shot down any claims of nepotism as she explained: 'Everyone talks about nepotism right, but everyone has a contact for somebody. 'I can open a door for you. Whether you get through that door and you stay through it, that's on your own f*****g merit.' Taking a swipe at the eldest Beckham child she added: 'You don't see Brooklyn Beckham playing f*cking football, because he's s**t.' Brooklyn, now 26, famously quit football after realising it would be 'difficult' to live up to his father David. The budding chef, previously played in Arsenal's youth academy but decided to give up the sport when the club released him at 16. Daily Mail have contacted both Kerry and Brooklyn's representatives for comment. David, 50, has been hailed as one of the greatest midfielders of his generation and won 19 major trophies throughout his 20-year football career. Speaking to Variety back in 2022, Brooklyn said his father 'wasn't sad' to see him give up the sport, despite it being his 'life' from a young age. He said: 'My dad wasn't sad, because he was like, "I just want you to be happy." But of course I was sad. It was my whole life since I was literally two. 'To try and live up to what my dad did in football, I was just like, "that's going to be a bit difficult." ' Since abandoning his football career, Brooklyn has explored other avenues including cooking and photography. As well as working with multiple brands he also launched his own hot sauce brand, Cloud 23, last year. Weighing in on the nepo baby debate himself last year he admitted: 'Obviously I am one. But I couldn't help how I was born, at all.' Speaking to Grazia magazine, he revealed that while he understands why the public can feel irked by nepo babies, Brooklyn said he tries to ignore the 'rubbish' people say rather than dwell on it. He added: 'There's always going to be people that say rubbish. But as long as you do something that makes you happy and you're kind to people, that's all that matters. 'I'm always gonna get it, no matter what I do. And I'm fine with that. It makes me work harder, because I'm like, I'm gonna prove these people wrong.' Speaking about his hot sauce brand he told Delish magazine: 'I did my research and I just felt like there was this hole in the market with luxury condiments, especially for a really good price.' Explaining his move into condiments, he said, 'I've always been a foodie. I've always been lucky enough to travel to different places in the world with my mum and dad. Obviously my dad with football, we lived in Madrid, we lived in LA, Milan. 'Then Covid happened, I met my wife and started cooking for her and just fell in love with it. And now it's just something that just takes my mind off of things.'
