Gangsters claim credit for Edinburgh firebombing attacks as second home targeted

Gangsters have claimed credit for two firebombings in Edinburgh.
This comes after a Transit van and a Range Rover were torched outside home in the capital, understood to belong to associated of Mark Richardson. Rival footsoldiers of Dubai-based gangster Ross McGil, known as Tamo Junto (TMJ) l have since claimed the attacks in a video.
The Daily Record shared the clip, which shows a hooded figure standing by flames as Two Tribes by Frankie Goes to Hollywood plays in the background.
The clip shows flames bursting out of a Range Rover and a Ford Transit van. In one clip a hooded figure can be seen standing with what appears to be an accelerant canister. He backs off from the fireball engulfing the Transit van.
After the clip of the flaming van ends an emoji of a black pawn chess piece and a sand timer appear side by side. The Ford van was set alight outside a property on Niddrie Marischal Crescent, which has been targeted three times since the gang wars began.

The van was torched around 3.55am as residents slept. Just five minutes later hoods then set ablaze a plush Range Rover outside a property on Campion Road. The arson attacks are the latest in a series of violent incidents across the capital after a major turf war sparked in March.
The ongoing feud was sparked after Richardson's men allegedly bought £500k of cocaine from McGill with fake cash. Homes, cars and businesses belonging to associates of Mark Richardson have been hit in a series of firebombings.
Machete thugs also pounced on a close ally of Richardson, David McMIllan at his home in Pitcairn Grove last month. McGill's enforcers have also went after the notorious Glasgow Daniel crime clan during the feud with property linked to the Daniels torched as violence erupted in Glasgow.
A local resident on Campion Road earlier told us that there was barely anything left of the Range Rover. They said: "There is still a really strong smell of burning in the air.

"It looks like the car exploded as there is barely anything left of it and there is just rubble on the street and outside homes. It doesn't look like any other cars were affected but it was right next to several.
"Police have taped off part of the street and look like they're waiting for someone else to arrive at the scene."
Hooded thugs targeted a property on Campion Road as part of the ongoing gangland war on May 10. Thugs were filmed kicking in the door of a property.
The violent scenes were witnessed on the day Mr Big "rejected a truce offer" with his enemies. Cops are probing the latest firebomb attacks which they say are being treated as suspicious.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Enquiries are ongoing following reports of two wilful fireraisings in Edinburgh on Monday, 9 June, 2025.
"Around 3.55am officers were made aware a Ford Transit van was on fire on Niddrie Marischal Crescent. Five minutes later, police received a report a Range Rover Evoque on Campion Road was also on fire. "Both incidents are being treated as suspicious."
A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We attended after the initial call at 3.56am, we sent two appliances. We left the scene at 6.22am."
