Turkish Amb. Extends Hijri New Year Greetings to Egyptians, Turkish Communities

On the occasion of the Islamic New Year 1447, Turkish Ambassador to Egypt Salih Mutlu Şen extended his warmest greetings and heartfelt wishes to the esteemed Turkish community residing in Egypt and to the beloved Egyptian people.
In a message posted on "X" platform to mark the beginning of the new Hijri year, the ambassador expressed his hope that the year 1447 brings peace, blessings, and prosperity to all.
"We pray to Almighty God that this new year will be a gateway to goodness, peace, and blessings for the entire Islamic world," the ambassador stated.
He also offered special prayers for the oppressed and suffering people in Gaza, as well as for peace and well-being across the globe.

Yara Sameh Egyptian stars Menna Shalaby and Amr Saad are teaming up for the first time in the TV series "Darga Al Ghalyan" ("Boiling Point"). The series hails from scriptwriter Mohamed Hisham Obia and is set to debut during the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon. "Darga Al Ghalyan" marks Shalaby's comeback to the drama marathon and the small screen after two years of absence. She made her latest onscreen appearance in the 2023 TV series "Taaghere Gaw". Moreover, Saad participated last Ramadan with the TV series "Saeed El Nass". عمرو سعد ومنة شلبي Shalaby, born on July 24, 1981, is the daughter of former belly dancer and actress Zizi Mustafa. She is one of the brightest actresses among the younger generation of Egyptian stars. The actress showed a passion for acting from a very early age, no doubt due to the exposure to the industry her mother's fame provided. Shalaby made her film debut in 'Al Saher' (The Magician) as Nour in 2001. She scored her next role alongside prominent actress Layla Elwy in the 2004 film 'Baheb El Seema'. The film captures Shaqoura's decision to set aside his food blog and cook for thousands of children and displaced families during the war in Gaza. He turned his kitchen into a frontline of resistance—preparing familiar comfort foods like chicken wings, tacos, croissants, and popsicles, often while bombs fell nearby. 'I cooked under bombs not for recognition, but because hunger doesn't wait,' Shaqoura said following the win. 'Gaza deserves to be seen.' Led by Reem Makhoul, Senior Managing Producer at Business Insider, the film is part of a growing body of work that centers the human experience in conflict zones. By focusing on daily acts of care, the documentary invites viewers to see Gaza not only through the lens of tragedy, but also through the enduring power of resilience.
