"Did you see the numbers they did?" Bradshaw asked. "The largest Super Bowl in history. 126 million people. There's 330 million people in America.
"That is a ton. The Fox pregame show averaged 28 million for five hours. Who in the world is gonna sit around and watch that mess for five hours?" 28 million," Bradshaw continued.
"You know how much money they made? God. More money than plumbers. I can assure that. 28 million.
"And I guarantee you, if I go in there and ask for a raise, 'Well, we don't have any...We're running a little tight. Well, you just paid Tom Brady $37 million a year. I'll take it. I did some bad deals, that's what it was," the legendary Steelers QB Bradshaw added.

Judge and Raleigh trade homers late in Yankees' 10-3 rout of Mariners

NEW YORK (AP) — Giancarlo Stanton hit a three-run homer, Austin Wells went deep for the third consecutive game and the New York Yankees pounded the Seattle Mariners 10-3 on Tuesday night in the opener of a three-game series between American League playoff contenders. Aaron Judge and Cal Raleigh traded late home runs after the outcome was all but decided, with Raleigh's 36th of the season keeping the Seattle catcher two ahead of Judge for the major league lead. Cody Bellinger and Paul Goldschmidt each had three hits for the Yankees, who won their second straight following a six-game slide. Rookie right-hander Will Warren (6-4) pitched 5 2/3 shutout innings, rebounding from an ugly start in Toronto last week. Oswald Peraza's run-scoring infield single off Mariners starter Logan Gilbert (2-3) with two outs in the fifth ended Seattle's team-record streak of 33 scoreless innings. Gilbert also got off to a great start before fading in the sixth. Judge and Bellinger opened the inning with consecutive singles before Stanton connected for his 431st career homer to make it 4-0. Three batters later, Wells pulled the first pitch from reliever Casey Legumina to right field for his career-best 14th homer, a two-run shot. Goldschmidt added a two-run single to make it 10-0 in a four-run seventh that included Judge's solo homer and an RBI double by Jazz Chisholm Jr. Key moment Stanton's homer was his second this season after missing the first 70 games with pain in both elbows. He returned June 16. Key stats With a two-run shot in the eighth, Raleigh eclipsed Hall of Fame slugger Ken Griffey Jr. (1998) for the most homers by a Mariners player before the All-Star break. Barry Bonds holds the big league record with 39 for San Francisco in 2001. Up next Mariners rookie Logan Evans (3-2, 2.96 ERA) starts Wednesday night against right-hander Cam Schlittler, who will be called up by the Yankees to make his major league debut in place of injured Clarke Schmidt. The 24-year-old Schlittler was 6-6 with a 2.82 ERA at Double-A and Triple-A combined this season. ___ AP MLB:

Juan Soto drives in go-ahead run in 10th to help Mets rally past Orioles 7-6

BALTIMORE (AP) — Juan Soto singled in the tiebreaking run in the 10th inning, and the New York Mets hit three home runs in a 7-6 comeback victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday night. New York trailed 6-2 before rallying past the Orioles to improve to 5-34 when trailing after seven innings. Ronny Mauricio, Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso homered for the Mets, who are in hot pursuit of first-place Philadelphia in the NL East. Soto hit the first pitch from Yennier Cano (1-5) to score Lindor in the 10th, and Huascar Brazobán worked the bottom half for his second save. Edwin Diaz (4-0) pitched the ninth inning for New York. The Orioles got an immaculate inning — three strikeouts on nine pitches — from rookie starter Brandon Young, and Jackson Holliday homered for a 6-2 lead in the seventh. Young's immaculate inning came in the fifth. After Jesse Winker and Jeff McNeil struck out swinging, Luis Torres looked at a third strike to end the first immaculate inning by an Oriole since Kevin Guzman against Cleveland on April 23, 2018. Young returned in the sixth to lose a 1-0 lead and the bid for his first big league win. Mauricio opened the sixth with a shot over the right-field scoreboard, and successive doubles by Brett Baty and Brandon Nimmo put the Mets in front. Key moment With pinch-runner Tyrone Taylor at second base with one out in the New York ninth, Félix Bautista struck out Nimmo and Lindor to keep the game tied. Key stat Baltimore took a 1-0 lead in the third on a two-out single by Holliday. Prior to that, Mets starter Clay Holmes had not allowed an earned run in 10 career games at Camden Yards and had given up only three earned runs in 22 career outing against the Orioles. Up next Mets LHP David Peterson (6-4, 3.18 ERA) faces lefty Tomoyuki Sugano (6-5, 4.44) on Wednesday. Sugano has an 8.87 ERA in five starts since June 8. ___ AP MLB:

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. The start of NFL training camp is around the corner, and the Washington Commanders still have a major question mark on the availability of Terry McLaurin. What's the holdup? Nobody can take a guess, but it's gotten to the point where former players are speaking out on the situation, demanding that the Commanders give the veteran wideout his money. The former Washington quarterback Joe Theismann is the latest to sound off on the situation. Read More: AFC Contender Named as Landing Spot for Commanders Star WR "That would be a major problem for all of us that appreciate what the Commanders have done, what Terry has done," Theismann said on 'Up & Adams' this week, regarding the thought of McLaurin reaching a point of no return with the Commanders. "His intangibles and his value to this football team are even more outweighed than his talent, which we know is extreme. He needs to be paid. He needs to be paid right away. We need to put this issue behind us as a football team. He is one of the leaders, and he's a guy that you can always count on." Terry McLaurin #17 of the Washington Commanders carries the ball for a touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys at Northwest Stadium on November 24, 2024 in Landover, wasn't long ago when former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson spoke on the McLaurin situation and praised the veteran wideout for being one of the most consistent players at the position since landing in the NFL. "Pay the man because the man has been nothing but consistent," Johnson stated. "I don't know Terry very well, but from afar, the guy has been nothing but consistent for that organization. He's been a staple there in Washington for his whole career. He plays well. He steps up in big games, and I love watching the kid because he's always making plays." After his run at Ohio State, McLaurin entered the NFL Draft in 2019. He was drafted by Washington in the third round, with the 76th overall pick. From the jump, McLaurin was a handful for secondaries. He produced over 900 yards with seven touchdowns during his rookie season. Read More: Ex-NFL Star Cam Newton Asks Difficult Jayden Daniels Question Since then, McLaurin has had five-straight 1,000-yard seasons. During that stretch, he dealt with an organization that was turning over owners and quarterbacks who were cycling in and out. Last season, he landed some stability with the star quarterback Jayden Daniels getting under center. The result? McLaurin caught 82 passes for 1,096 yards and scored a career-high 13 touchdowns. He was a Pro Bowler for the second time in his career and earned All-Pro for the first time. With one season left on his current deal, McLaurin is ready to lock in long-term again. With the Commanders unwilling to do so before mandatory minicamp, McLaurin steered clear of participating. The Commanders still have time to get something done, but the former Super Bowl champion Joe Theismann wants to see his former team make it happen before it's too late.
