Sooshi Mango grew up on pizza and pasta. Here are their go-to places to eat it
Two years after opening, queues for the walk-in-only venue still snake down the street, with diners keen to experience the restaurant's home-style Italian cooking, note-perfect nod to nonna-style decor and an always fun and lively atmosphere.
The menu, created in collaboration with Johnny Di Francesco of award-winning pizzeria 400 Gradi fame, is an ode to the dishes they grew up eating – spaghetti and meatballs, lasagne and cotolette [schnitzels] among them.
The two-level restaurant was inspired by a now-closed Camberwell eatery where two-thirds of Sooshi Mango, brothers Joe and Carlo Salanitri, would dine with family as youngsters.

Usher scraps 12 Sydney and Melbourne shows as Australian tour cancelled
Multi-platinum American R&B singer Usher has cancelled his upcoming Australian tour. The Texan artist, real name Usher Raymond IV, was to play six dates at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena and a further six shows at Sydney's SuperDome this November and December. All 12 of these arena shows have been swiftly removed from sale, with a note that the shows will not go ahead. Neither the artist nor promoters have given a reason for the cancellation. Tour promoter Live Nation has been approached for comment but is yet to respond to the ABC's questions. These shows, part of Usher's Past Present Future world tour, were to be Usher's first Australian dates since he headlined the R&B Fridayz shows around Australia in 2018. Initially announced as an eight-date tour in early May, a further four shows were added due to high demand in the pre-sale period, when fans could snap up tickets before the general on-sale date. The back end of 2025 is congested with massive tours from the likes of AC/DC, Kendrick Lamar, Metallica, Addison Rae, Mariah Carey, Franz Ferdinand and many more. The Ticketek website states that ticketholders will receive an automatic refund on the cards used to purchase their tickets. Ticketholders are advised to contact their ticketing provider with any questions. Read the full statement below: USHER'S Past Present Future Tour Cancelled The promoter of USHER's Australian Tour regrets to advise that the scheduled shows to take place in November/ December, will no longer be proceeding. Fans devastated as Usher cancels Australian tour just weeks after tickets went on sale
Usher has abruptly cancelled his Australian tour just weeks after tickets went on sale. The US hip-hop star, 46, was set to bring his Past, Present, Future tour to Sydney and Melbourne from November this year, with tour promoter Live Nation confirming the 12 shows will no longer be going ahead. 'We regret to advise USHER's Australian tour, scheduled to take place in November/ December, will no longer be proceeding,' a spokesperson said. 'All ticket holders will receive an automatic refund. For any further refund enquires please contact your point of purchase.' The Live Nation website has since removed Usher's Australian tour page from its website, with users presented with a '404' error message. Ticket-holders also received an email from Ticketek on Friday saying the promoter had pulled the pin on the tour, with no reason given as to why. 'The promoter of USHER's Australian Tour regrets to advise that the scheduled shows to take place in November/ December, will no longer be proceeding,' the email read. 'All tickets purchased (including refundable ticket purchases, if relevant) will be automatically refunded in full to the original payment method used. Customers do not need to take any action. 'Customers who purchased tickets at a Ticketek Agency or using Ticketek Gift Vouchers, have been contacted to the email address of their Ticketek account to request additional information so we can process your refund.' A spokesperson added it would take up to 30 business days for refunds to process. That same statement is also on the Usher landing page on Ticketek's website. It's important to note Ticketek is only responsible for the sale of tickets. Usher's tour was a long time coming for fans of the artist, who last hosted a headline tour in Australia in 2011. While it's unclear if tickets were selling well, it seemed as though pre-sale tickets were in demand, with Usher's team adding several more concert dates. The eight-time Grammy winner was primed to play six concerts at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, and a further six at Sydney's Qudos Bank Arena. Usher is yet to address the cancellation on social media. Fans flooded TikTok after receiving the email, with one user claiming she 'wasn't surprised' by the cancellation. 'They were so overzealous with the amount of shows they were doing, the prices, they really were not selling,' TikTok user Jacinda Chenelle said. Supporters were disheartened when tickets went on sale, with many shocked to realise how expensive seats were. The OMG singer's 'Ultimate Meet and Greet VIP Lounge Experience' was marketed at a whopping $2792.85, while premium reserve seating was priced at $530.05. Other ticket prices included more affordable seating at around $220.

Jennifer Aniston cast in streaming adaptation of I'm Glad My Mom Died
Former child star Jennette McCurdy is adapting her blistering memoir, I'm Glad My Mom Died, into a 10-episode streaming series at Apple. Jennifer Aniston has joined the production in the mother role, who has been described in the official logline as 'overbearing' and 'domineering'. McCurdy's book, published in 2022, detailed her life as a child actor from the time she was six years old, starring on shows such as iCarly and Sam & Cat. It's a raw account of the travails her mother put her through, including 'calorie restriction' and makeovers, as well as control of her emails, diaries and income, leading to anxiety, disordered eating and addiction. When her mother died from cancer in 2013, McCurdy said she was able to start to heal from the years of abuse and trauma. Her book, which uses dark humour to explore these heavy themes, topped The New York Times bestseller list. The series sounds like it may not be a direct adaptation, more 'inspired by'. McCurdy will write, executive produce and showrun the production with Ari Katcher, who has worked on Ramy and the Jerrod Carmichael Reality Show. Aniston will also be an executive producer through her production company, Echo Films, alongside Sharon Horgan and Stacy Greenberg through Merman. Margot Robbie's banner, LuckyChap, is also involved, with her partners Tom Ackerley and Josey McNamara as well as Dani Gorin listed as executive producers. Aniston may be able to draw from her own experiences growing up in a showbiz family. Both her parents were actors – her mother, Nancy Dow, had roles on The Wild Wild West and The Beverly Hillbillies, while her father, John Aniston, was on Days of Our Lives for almost four decades. Her parents divorced when she was a child, and she has spoken before about having had a destabilised upbringing. She was, at different points, estranged from her parents, but reconciled with them before their deaths.
