Princess Charlene and Prince Albert's Twins, Jacques and Gabriella, Just Surpassed a Huge Milestone During "Historic" State Visit
Princess Charlene and Prince Albert of Monaco share two children—twins Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques. The 10-year-olds can be quite "hard" to keep "under control," according to their mother, former Olympian Charlene. Having recently reached an important milestone while wearing adorable matching outfits, Gabriella and Jacques surpassed yet another milestone during a state visit.
On Saturday, June 7, Jacques and Gabriella joined their parents to welcome the president of France, Emmanuel Macron, and his wife, Brigitte Macron, for the couple's state visit to Monaco. As noted by Hello! magazine, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella's appearance at the event "marked the first time that the children had taken part in a state visit."
An Instagram post shared by the Royal Family of Monaco's official account said, "Their Serene Highnesses Prince Albert II and Princess Charlene welcomed, this Saturday, June 7, the President of the French Republic, Mr. Emmanuel Macron, and Mrs. Brigitte Macron, on the occasion of a state visit on the sign of friendship and co-operation between France and the Principality of Monaco." The caption continued, "Crown Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella were also present to greet the presidential couple, demonstrating the familial and solemn character of this official reception."
Elaborating on the significance of the meeting, the caption noted, "During this visit, discussions highlighted the depth of historical, political, and human ties that unite the two nations." The post continued, "This meeting illustrates the continuity of a relationship based on shared values, mutual trust and a shared willingness to build together answers to great contemporary challenges."
If Jacques and Gabriella's appearance at Saturday's official engagement is any indication, Monaco's royal twins might start taking part in even more important events alongside their parents.

US condemns French inquiry into Elon Musk's social media platform X
US officials have strongly condemned a criminal investigation by France into the social network X, owned by billionaire Elon Musk, on suspicion of foreign interference. "As part of a criminal investigation, an activist French prosecutor is requesting information on X's proprietary algorithm and has classified X as an 'organized crime group,'" the US State Department's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights and Labor wrote on their X account. "Democratic governments should allow all voices to be heard, not silence speech they dislike. The United States will defend the free speech of all Americans against acts of foreign censorship." Paris cybercrime prosecutors called for the police probe 11 July to investigate suspected crimes – including manipulating and extracting data from automated systems "as part of a criminal gang". The social media company last week denied the allegations, calling them "politically motivated". X also said it had refused to comply with the prosecutor's request to access its recommendation algorithm and real-time data. X slams French probe as 'politically motivated', refuses to cooperate Foreign interference The investigation follows two January complaints that alleged the X algorithm had been used for foreign interference in French politics. One of the complaints came from Eric Bothorel, an MP from President Emmanuel Macron's centrist party, who complained of "reduced diversity of voices and options" and Musk's "personal interventions" in the platform's management since he took it over. X said it "categorically denies" all allegations and that the probe "is distorting French law in order to serve a political agenda and, ultimately, restrict free speech". Tesla and SpaceX chief Musk has raised hackles with his forays into European politics, including vocal backing for the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party ahead of February legislative elections. "Democracy is too fragile to let digital platform owners tell us what to think, who to vote for or even who to hate," Bothorel said after the investigation was announced. 'He belongs in The Hague': Keir Starmer fiercely criticised over Gaza speech
KEIR Starmer has been warned he 'belongs in The Hague' for failing to call out and act on the genocide being committed in Gaza by Israel. The Prime Minister has faced fierce criticism following a speech where he said the 'appalling scenes in Gaza are unrelenting' and called for the need for a regional 'lasting peace'. However, despite his comments where he claims his 'ultimate goal' is to improve the lives of Palestinian's he has been told his government are "complicit" in the suffering of tens of thousands of people in Gaza due to his inaction against Israel. Starmer is under increasing pressure to recognise a Palestinian state, as 221 MPs signed a cross-party letter, organised by the Labour backbencher Sarah Champion, demanding he take the step. READ MORE: I love standing on the soil of Scotland, Donald Trump says after landing in country It comes as French President Emmanuel Macron declared France would recognise a Palestinian state in September at a UN conference earlier this week. On Friday, Starmer set out his pathway where a Palestinian state could be recognised in a speech. He said: 'The appalling scenes in Gaza are unrelenting. The continued captivity of hostages, the starvation and denial of humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people, the increasing violence from extremist settler groups, and Israel's disproportionate military escalation in Gaza are all indefensible. 'Alongside our closest allies, I am working on a pathway to peace in the region, focused on the practical solutions that will make a real difference to the lives of those that are suffering in this war. 'That pathway will set out the concrete steps needed to turn the ceasefire so desperately needed, into a lasting peace. Starmer added: 'Recognition of a Palestinian state has to be one of those steps. I am unequivocal about that. But it must be part of a wider plan which ultimately results in a two-state solution and lasting security for Palestinians and Israelis. This is the way to ensure it is a tool of maximum utility to improve the lives of those who are suffering – which of course, will always be our ultimate goal.' Former Labour MP Zarah Sultana was one of many people who has criticised the Prime Minister for failing to call out the ongoing genocide in [[Gaza]] and highlighted the UK Government's complicity in the ongoing war on the region. She wrote on Twitter/X: 'The 'appalling scenes in [[Gaza]]' have been enabled by the arms, surveillance & diplomatic cover Keir Starmer's Labour government have provided to a genocidal apartheid state. (Image: Jeff Moore) 'He still refuses to call it a genocide because he is complicit in it. 'Keir Starmer belongs in The Hague.' Journalist Matt Kennard also shared Sultana's calls for Starmer to stand in The Hague to answer for the UK Government's complicity in Gaza as he said: 'Another British spy plane literally in the sky over Gaza collecting intelligence for Israel as he posted this statement. 'Starmer belongs in the Hague. We must make sure he ends up there.' The charity Save the Children also shared Starmer's speech, where they edited the text to remove passive language like 'unfolding' and 'situation' and replaced it with words like 'deliberate' and 'assault' as well as attributing the horrific starvation of Palestinians to Israel. Along with the graphic, the charity replied: 'Fixed it for you, Keir Starmer. 'The UK is an ally to Israel's atrocities in Gaza and the West Bank. 'Now is the time to make our voices heard: Call on the UK Government to end its complicity.' Meanwhile, sharing a picture of Starmer during his speech, prominent trade unionist Howard Beckett, said: 'A picture that will chime through history. 'Starmer's GB is damned. He should answer in The Hague.'

Sassuolo reach agreement to sign Marseille's Ismaël Koné
Not retained by Stade Rennais, Ismaël Koné (23) returned to Olympique de Marseille this summer. However, he does not have a future with Les Phocéens and has been training away from the first team. Marseille have been looking to offload the Canada international since the start of the window, and an agreement has now been reached with Serie A side Sassuolo, as per a report from . The deal that will see the former Watford midfielder make the move to Italy will be a loan deal with an option to make the deal permanent, worth €12.5m. RMC Sport journalist Fabrice Hawkins understands that Koné will travel to undergo his medical on Saturday. His short stint at Marseille, therefore, looks to be coming to an end. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
