RTC bus enroute Visakhapatnam collides with lorry on national highway, eight injured
As per the information, no casualties were reported in the incident.
Kasimkota Inspector Swamy Naidu stated that the collision between the lorry and the bus left eight people injured. They have been admitted to a nearby government hospital for treatment. Further details are awaited.

Meanwhile, the family members of the victims broke down in tears after the accident outside the King George Hospital in Visakhapatnam.
According to Jogarao, who is a relative of the deceased Uma Maheswarao family member, a wall was recently constructed, and four lives of a family were lost due to the wall. Both the wife and husband worked as IT technicians.

Another relative of the deceased family members said that they demand to get to the bottom of the matter, and the government should take action against the officers who were involved in the poor construction of the wall.

In a first, Govt directs offices of ministers: Clear all files pending for over two months
Pushing to cut delays in decision-making at the top, the Cabinet Secretariat has for the first time sent letters directly to the offices of Central ministers where files have been pending for more than two months, asking them to clear the backlog at the earliest, The Indian Express has learnt. The letters were sent in the second half of June and mention the number of pending files. Until now, the pendency of files used to be reviewed at the level of joint secretary, additional secretary and secretary, and not by the offices of ministers. The Cabinet Secretariat is learnt to have been monitoring pendency at each level using the Government's E-Office digital workplace, which has around 7,000-8,000 e-files in circulation daily, of which about 2,000 go to the offices of ministers. A majority of these files pertain to inter-ministerial subjects, such as national policies and schemes. It learnt that the Cabinet Secretariat has flagged files pending at ministers' offices for 61-90 days, 91-120 days and over 180 days. At one minister's office, several dozen files were found pending, it is learnt. At another minister's office, files related to the release of funds for a state were found pending for more than six months. The move to flag pendency at this level is the latest measure taken by the NDA Government to cut bureaucratic delays. The Government has earlier launched PRAGATI (Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) to monitor implementation of infrastructure projects. It has been described as a three-tier system that includes officials at the Prime Minister's Office, Central Government Secretaries and Chief Secretaries of states. The Prime Minister chairs a monthly meeting of PRAGATI where he interacts with Central Secretaries and Chief Secretaries through video-conferencing. This platform has helped accelerate over 340 'critical projects' since its inception in March 2015, sources said. PM Modi receives Ghana's highest state honour,
Accra [Ghana], July 3 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (local time) conferred the national honour of Ghana, Officer of the Order of the Star of Ghana, by its President, John Dramani Mahama, in recognition of his 'distinguished' statesmanship and influential global leadership, Ministry of External Affairs said in an official statement. Accepting the award on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians, Prime Minister dedicated the honour to the aspirations of the youth of India, its cultural traditions and diversity, and to the historical ties between Ghana and India. PM Modi also thanked the people and government of Ghana for this special gesture. Noting that the shared democratic values and traditions of the two countries would continue to nurture the partnership, the Prime Minister stated that the award further deepens the friendship between the two countries and places new responsibility on him to embrace and advance bilateral ties. Congress' Hanumanth Rao visits Sigachi Pharma Factory explosion site, meets survivors
Sangareddy (Telangana) [India], July 3 (ANI): Telangana's Senior Congress leader V. Hanumanth Rao visited the Sigachi Pharma Factory explosion site in Sangareddy. He also visited the hospital, where he met with those injured in the explosion that claimed the lives of 34 people. Earlier, expressing his condolences for the victims of the Sigachi Pharma Factory explosion, Congress MP Mallu Ravi said that the 'unfortunate' incident took place due to a 'chemical reaction' in the pharma factory. 'It is a very unfortunate incident due to the chemical reaction in the pharma factory. CM has announced to give Rs 1 crore to each deceased family,' Mallu Ravi told ANI. On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sorrow over the loss of lives in the explosion at the Sigachi Pharma chemical factory in Telangana's Sangareddy district. The Prime Minister also announced an ex gratia of Rs 2 lakhs for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund. Union Minister and Telangana BJP chief G. Kishan Reddy offered full support to the State government in the relief operations following the blast at a chemical factory in Telangana's Sangareddy, which killed at least 34 people and injured many. 'NDRF, Police and other agencies are engaged in relief financial assistance of Rs 2 lakhs each will be given to families of the deceased persons and Rs 50,000 to the injured,' Kishan Reddy told reporters here. 'The BJP never does politics on such issues. We will fully cooperate in relief activities... The state government should take all steps to prevent such accidents,' Reddy said. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also expressed grief over the blast. 'Saddened by the tragic accident in a chemical factory in Sangareddy, Telangana. The NDRF team rushed to the spot immediately and is continuing the rescue operation along with the local administration,' Amit Shah said in a post on X. 'My heartfelt condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones. Praying for the swift recovery of those injured,' Shah added. (ANI)
