'Bro… it's different,' but is it? Jordan Peele's horror Him trailer out now, starring Marlon Wayans
The film, directed by Justin Tipping, will hit theaters on September 19, 2025. It features Wayans as a seasoned quarterback who takes an up-and-coming football star under his wing. However, the training goes far beyond physical drills, as Wayans' character, Isaiah White, pushes Withers' character, Cameron Cade, into disturbing territory.
The film follows Cade, a rising star quarterback, who suffers a potentially career-ending injury just before football's scouting combine. In his moment of despair, he is offered a lifeline by his idol, Isaiah White, an eight-time championship-winning quarterback. White invites Cade to train at his isolated compound, alongside his influencer wife, Elsie White (played by Julia Fox). But what begins as a mentor-mentee relationship quickly turns dark, as White's methods become increasingly unsettling, forcing Cade to question the true cost of success.
The first trailer teases the film's chilling elements, featuring scenes of ritualistic violence and cryptic dialogue, including White's instruction to Cade: 'Talent is how hard you're willing to work... you're going to have to ask yourself, 'What am I willing to sacrifice?'' Wayans posted the trailer on Instagram, cryptically captioning it, 'Bro… it's different,' further piquing audience curiosity.
The film was initially titled GOAT but was rebranded to Him, emphasizing its shift into darker horror territory. Wayans, who also co-wrote the screenplay, teased the film's unsettling nature during its debut at CinemaCon, likening it to a 1990s sports drama before Withers quickly corrected him, calling it something 'that burrows under the skin.'
Produced by Peele under his Monkeypaw Productions banner, Him marks another foray into unique horror storytelling, following Peele's success with films like Get Out and Us.

Jason Kelce faces backlash over ‘tone deaf' fourth of July post, fans call out 'privilege'
Jason Kelce has faced criticism on social media following his Fourth of July post calling for Americans to 'set aside our differences' and celebrate together. The retired Philadelphia Eagles player shared a video of fireworks over the water on Instagram, captioning, 'Man I love the 4th! One of the great days we all can set aside our differences in this country, and enjoy the one thing we all share in common. That we are American! Cheers to you oh beautiful America.' The post, which was liked by his brother Travis Kelce, quickly drew backlash, with many users calling the message 'tone deaf' amid the current political climate in the United States. 'I love you, bro, but your privilege is showing. You are able to set things aside, but not everyone has that privilege,' one follower commented. Another added, 'I really do love you Jason but no, we actually can't just set aside our differences. What this country is becoming is not something I'm proud of.' A third commenter stated, 'This caption is so beyond tone-deaf and insulting. People are suffering. People will die because of what's happening.' Additional comments urged Jason to use his platform to highlight current injustices, emphasising the need to speak up for those facing challenges across the country. Jason Kelce, 37, has typically remained neutral on politics alongside his brother Travis. Last year, Travis expressed a similar approach, stating he would visit the White House as a Super Bowl champion regardless of which president was in office.

Jack Osbourne shares tribute as father Ozzy Osbourne bids farewell with final concert in Birmingham
Ozzy Osbourne's final live concert became a moment of family reflection as Jack Osbourne paid tribute to his father following the performance. The 76-year-old musician delivered his last show at the Back to the Beginning festival in Birmingham on 5 July, performing to 42,000 fans while seated in a throne due to his Parkinson's diagnosis. 'It's so good to be on this f****** stage, you have no idea,' Ozzy told the crowd as he performed a five-song solo set, followed by a reunion with Black Sabbath bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward for four songs, including 'Iron Man' and 'Paranoid.' Shortly after the concert, Jack Osbourne shared a personal tribute on Instagram by posting vintage footage of his father bringing him on stage as a child. 'For everything I learned along the way…the final Good Night We Love You All,' Jack captioned the post, marking the significance of the moment for their family. Jack's tribute was part of a wider family reflection, with Sharon Osbourne and Kelly Osbourne also sharing photos and videos from the event. The concert, held in Ozzy's hometown, was announced earlier this year as a final opportunity for the musician to perform live and give back to Birmingham, with proceeds supporting Birmingham Children's Hospital and Acorn Children's Hospice. Ozzy, who started with Black Sabbath in the late 1960s before a solo career that has sold over 100 million albums, retired from touring in 2023 due to health concerns.
