James Martin has shared his go-to two-ingredient breakfast, calling it "simple and very tasty", following his remarkable three stone weight loss journey.
The renowned TV host of 'James Martin's Saturday Morning' on ITV ventured to Spain to gather a collection of beloved local recipes for his new culinary book, 'James Martin's Spanish Adventure'.
Following his impressive weight loss at the age of 52, Martin observes that fish now accounts for a predominant 80% of his diet, yet he still indulges in his cherished butter.
In conversation with Hello!, the chef revealed that his books feature recipes "specifically created" from ingredients found during his travels.

Nonetheless, it's a humble two-ingredient combination that Martin ranks as his most favoured: "Grilled tomatoes on toast. It's very simple and very tasty. And the barbecued leeks with lardons and hazelnuts."

Speaking previously on the Spooning with Mark Wogan podcast, James explained how his love of motor racing was the inspiration for his dramatic weight loss, as he would "struggle to get out of them (the cars)".
He said: "It comes down to the fact that I race cars, or I still try and race a few cars and I actually struggle to get out of them now. Getting in them, you kind of fall in them, but then you've got to get out of them and it just doesn't look very good."
However, one of his culinary indulgences, butter, remains a staple in his diet. The chef's love of the food is no secret, as evidenced by the colossal 517-page book he penned on the subject.
Entitled 'Butter: Comforting, Delicious, Versatile - Over 130 Recipes Celebrating Butter', James humorously remarked about the time when health-conscious cookbooks were all the rage, saying he "brought out a book on butter" instead.

James puts down his weight loss not to laborious gym sessions but to his background as a "farmer's kid", acknowledging his love for "simple food" and "great ingredients".
In fact, he was vocal about not hitting the gym, saying, "I don't go", and adding that his weight loss all boils down to the fact that he can "get my a**e in and out of a car."
He elaborated: "I'm a farmer's kid, I like pure food, I like simple food and just love great ingredients. I like simple cooking, but also bringing out the flavour of the ingredients is more important than anything else."
With a portfolio of restaurants and bakeries under his belt, James honed his trade from home cooks and further refined his craft in France, later gracing our screens with his participation in various BBC and ITV cooking programs.
