Chiefs at Cowboys set for Thanksgiving
Kansas City will be the road team for the Turkey Day game in Dallas, the NFL announced today. Kickoff will be at 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
The Cowboys' annual Thanksgiving game is often the most-watched regular-season game of the NFL season, and with the high-profile opponents from Kansas City coming to town there's a good chance it will be this year as well.
Since Patrick Mahomes became their starting quarterback in 2018, the Chiefs have consistently been one of the best teams in the NFL, and that makes them an attractive choice for the NFL to schedule in high-profile games. The Chiefs will also play on Christmas for the second consecutive year, they will reportedly play in the prime time Friday night game in Brazil in Week One, and there are big games still to announce with the Chiefs having a Super Bowl rematch against the Eagles and an AFC Championship Game rematch against the Bills.
The Cowboys are always a big draw as well, despite their long Super Bowl drought, and the NFL is putting them in high-profile games from the start by scheduling them as the visitors in the traditional Thursday night opener at Philadelphia.
The full 2025 NFL schedule will be released on Wednesday night.

Bills sign WR Deon Cain, release DB Daryl Porter Jr.
The Bills announced a pair of roster moves on Monday morning. Buffalo has signed receiver Deon Cain and released defensive back Daryl Porter Jr. This is Cain's third stint with the Bills. A Colts sixth-round pick in 2018, he's appeared in 15 career games with six starts. Cain has also spent time with the Steelers, Ravens, Eagles, and Panthers. He's also played several seasons with the Birmingham Stallions of the USFL/UFL. Porter had joined Buffalo as an undrafted free agent in the spring. The Bills will be in pads for the first time this summer for Monday's practice. Tight end Dalton Kincaid (knee soreness), receiver Curtis Samuel (hamstring), linebacker Terrel Bernard (hamstring), receiver Elijah Moore (leg soreness), and kicker Tyler Bass (pelvic soreness) are among the players who will not participate in the session, according to head coach Sean McDermott in his morning press conference.

Luther Burden practices at Bears camp Monday
Bears rookie wide receiver Luther Burden hit the field for the first time in training camp on Monday. Burden injured his hamstring during the Bears' organized team activities this spring and did not take part in the first four practice sessions of this summer's camp, but reporters at Monday's session noted that the second-round pick is participating in drills. The Bears have DJ Moore and 2024 first-round pick Rome Odunze set for their top two receiver spots. Burden, Olamide Zaccheaus, Devin Duvernay, Tyler Scott, and Myles Boykin are among the other wideouts vying for snaps in the team's offense. Burden's injury hampered his chances of earning those snaps, but he'll spend the rest of camp working to show that he's ready to play a significant role right off the bat.
