USA Todaya day ago
As the Buffalo Bills prepare for the 2025 NFL season, we'll take a look at the most important contributors on their roster. They have a ton of cornerstone players who will be returning for another shot at bringing a Lombardi Trophy to Buffalo, and they'll have help from some new additions as well.
Leading up to the season, we will be counting down the top 30 most important players on the roster. We'll recap their 2024 season, look ahead to what they'll offer in 2025, and tackle the most pressing questions surrounding them this coming year.
Next up on the countdown is linebacker Dorian Williams.

2024 recap
In his sophomore season in the NFL, Dorian Williams stepped up when called upon. In the absence of fellow linebacker Matt Milano, Williams started 11 games and recorded a team-leading 117 tackles to go with five tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and three fumble recoveries. He was able to hold down the fort in the middle of the field until Milano was ready to return, specifically excelling in playing downhill and tackling ball carriers. He was also a big contributor on special teams.
2025 outlook
Williams is once again in line to be the top reserve linebacker on the Bills squad. He has proved he is more than capable of stepping in, as he led the team in tackles, and both Milano and Terrel Bernard have had their struggles with injuries. He is great insurance to have, especially with Milano aging. He'll be a key factor in special teams and he may also be brought in for heavier, run-stopping packages like we saw with him being deployed by the Bills against the Ravens in the playoffs.
Biggest question: How much time will he see on defense?
Williams started to see more snaps as part of three-linebacker sets later in the year, but his playing time will most likely hinge on the availability of the LBs ahead of him. While he is in line to be a big help on special teams, he has more to offer than that. Unfortunately, if he's out there on defense and playing well like he did last year, that would most likely mean injuries have hit. It's a great thing to have experienced depth as the wear and tear of the season will hit eventually.

Eagles are still waiting for their Super Bowl LIX rings

For a team with aspirations to win a second Super Bowl in a row, it's important to turn the page on the first one. The Eagles are still waiting to do that. Nearly a month after the initial date for getting their championship rings, the Eagles are still waiting for the most coveted piece of jewelry in American sports. The rings were supposed to be distributed on June 6. The event was postponed due to production issues, and there has been no news on when it will happen. (We asked the team on Friday for an update, but got no response. Which is fine, since it was July 4.) At this point, the ring ceremony likely won't happen until the team has gathered for training camp. When coach Nick Sirianni is hoping to have the team focused fully on the task at hand, and not navel gazing over last year's accomplishments. While they deserve to properly celebrate getting to the top of the NFL's mountain, they're about to retreat to the Valley of 0-0. Along with 31 other teams, all of which will be trying to do what the Eagles have done — and which will be using the Eagles as the ultimate measuring stick. Every week, the Eagles will get the A+ game from each opponent. While they're talented enough to do it again, it will take full focus and commitment and concentration. Which means that, no, it's not ideal for the players to be getting their Super Bowl LIX rings once the climb toward Super Bowl LX has officially begun.

2 New York Giants named to unusual 'best of' list

We are fully into the NFL's most boring part of the year. The majority of player movement is done, although there will be more when roster cuts come next month. Training camp is still weeks away, and players are working through their respective offseason workouts. So, while we wait for that, CBS Sports recently compiled a list of the best players wearing every number from 0-99. They went through and analyzed every player wearing each number and determined which player truly "owned" their number. The New York Giants saw two players land on the list. First up was long-snapper Casey Kreiter. No. 59 - Casey Kreiter One of the few unquestioned vets of the Giants, the Pro Bowl long snapper earned a new deal this offseason after another reliable campaign as a special teams captain. Next up was center John Michael Schmitz. No. 61 - John Michael Schmitz This isn't an endorsement of Schmitz as a top-shelf center -- he's still got a ways to go trying to anchor Brian Daboll's offensive line -- so much as an admission that most elite blockers aren't wearing No. 61. Kreiter isn't a surprise; he's consistent and reliable. Schmitz, well, even the author admitted that not many elite blockers wear that number, so it was more of a lack of competition than owning his number. Notably absent from this list is Dexter Lawrence. Instead, the authors chose Nick Bosa for No. 97, snubbing Sexy Dexy. They claim Bosa has "enjoyed the greatest peaks when healthy, however, putting on a pass-rushing clinic for several Super Bowl bids in San Francisco." The Giants will debate that statement all day long.

As of this posted, more than $53,000 has been raised. Former teammate J.J. Watt has given $10,000, and other former teammates have contributed. Braman and Watt joined the Texans in the year — 2011. Braman was undrafted, but he made the team and remained in Houston for three seasons. He played the next four years with the Eagles. Braman capped his NFL career with a win over the Patriots in Super Bowl LII. En route to the championship, Braman blocked a punt in the divisional round win over the Falcons. Braman, who appeared in 97 career regular-season games, contributed mainly on special teams. One of his more memorable moments came in the final game of his rookie season, when he lost his helmet and still made the tackle on a punt return.
