Fazilpuria Shooting Case: Man Alleges Singer Owes Rs 5 Crore, Threatens More Attacks
Singer Fazilpuria was fired at near Gurugram. A man has now claimed responsibility, alleging the rapper owes ₹5 crore to his associate.
Popular Haryanvi singer and rapper Fazilpuria narrowly escaped a major tragedy after unidentified gunmen opened fire at him near Gurugram's Badshahpur area on July 14. The attack has now taken a dramatic turn with the arrest of a 25-year-old man named Vishal, and a chilling social media post claiming responsibility for the assault.
According to police reports, Vishal, a native of Jajjal in Haryana's Sonipat district, is believed to have conducted a detailed recce of Fazilpuria's movements. He allegedly tracked the singer's schedule for several days and passed along crucial information to the shooters. Vishal was reportedly present in Gurugram on the day the attack took place.
Amid the ongoing investigation, a man named Sunil Sardhania has publicly claimed responsibility for the attack. In a social media post that has since gone viral, Sardhania stated that he, along with Deepak Nandal and Inderjit Yadav, orchestrated the firing. The post alleges that Fazilpuria owes Rs 5 crore to Nandal, who had invested the amount in helping him become a public figure.
'Deepak had invested Rs 5 crore in Fazilpuria so that he could be made a celebrity. After becoming famous, Rahul Fazilpuria, showing off his political status, has neither picked up the phone nor replied to anyone for the last two years," Sardhania wrote. 'Other than this, we had no other option. Now this is a last warning. He should pay the money or else we have the details of 10 of his acquaintances and relatives who used to hang out with him."
The police are investigating the veracity of these claims, and Fazilpuria has not yet issued a statement regarding the attack or the allegations. However, reports suggest that the singer had crossed paths with Nandal in 2010 while both were in jail.
Fazilpuria, whose real name is Rahul Yadav, rose to fame with the hit song Kar Gayi Chull from the 2016 film Kapoor & Sons, starring Alia Bhatt, Fawad Khan, and Sidharth Malhotra. The incident has sent shockwaves across the music industry, with fans and fellow artists expressing concern over his safety.

Saiyaara Enters Top 5 Highest Opening Weekends Of 2025 Globally, Saiyaara grossed $11.9 million in its opening weekend, placing it at number 9 on the global box office chart, as per Comscore. In India, the two-day gross stood at $6.6 million, with Sunday numbers expected to push the total higher. The total weekend collection has reached Rs 83 crore, making it one of the top five highest opening weekends of 2025. Ahead Of Big Star-Studded Films In just three days, Saiyaara has earned more than several major releases of the year, including Sky Force (Rs 12.25 crore), Raid 2 (Rs 19.25 crore), Sitaare Zameen Par (Rs 10.7 crore) and Kesari Chapter 2 (Rs 7.75 crore). It has also overtaken the lifetime collections of Maalik (Rs 23.27 crore), Deva (Rs 33.97 crore), Maa (Rs 38.51 crore) and The Diplomat (Rs 40.73 crore). The film surpassed Anurag Basu's star-studded film Metro... In Dino (Rs 48.47 crore) as well. A Romantic Comeback With the re-releases of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (Rs 22.04 crore) and Sanam Teri Kasam (Rs 35.55 crore) drawing good numbers earlier this year, Saiyaara adds to the growing interest in romantic films. Why Director Jeethu Joseph Suggested A Delay In Ajay Devgn's Drishyam?
Drishyam narrates the story of Georgekutty (Mohanlal) and his family, who are suspected after the Inspector General of Police's son is killed Drishyam 3, the third instalment of the hit mystery thriller franchise, has been generating buzz among the fans ever since its official announcement. The shooting for both versions, Malayalam featuring Mohanlal and Hindi starring Ajay Devgn, will be held simultaneously, starting from October 2025. As the project steadily moves towards the production stage, director Jeetu Joseph recently admitted that he prevented the Hindi version from being made ahead of the Malayalam film. During a conversation with Mathrubhumi, Jeethu shared that there had been conversations about starting both versions at the same time. However, the makers of the Hindi rendition were instructed to keep off. 'There were requests to make the Malayalam and Hindi versions together, but we have not made any final judgements on those topics. There were early plans to begin with the Hindi version, but when it was suggested that this could be dealt with legally, they backed off," he explained. Furthermore, Jeethu, who is directing Drishyam 3 with Mohanlal, said that the Malayalam script is still being finalised. The film is likely to begin production around October this year.
