Apple Starting 2026 With A Bang: iPad, iPhone And Mac Launches Planned
Apple is planning to start 2026 with a bang and we could see a wide range of products announced, including an iPhone and Macs.
Apple iPhone 17 launch is still a few months away but the company is already lining up a big launch bonanza in 2026 as per reports. Apple is bringing new iPhone, iPads and even Macs early next year, as highlighted by Bloomberg in its latest report this week.
We're yet to receive more updates around the iPhone 17 launch but with the AI delays hampering its growth, new products are widely awaited and Apple could have umpteen number of them rolling out before the big iOS 26 update is released with new AI tools next year.
Apple 2026 Launch Lineup: What All We Can Expect?
Time For iPhone 17e
iPhone 17e looks to be the next mid-range variant from Apple and it is expected to launch as the successor to iPhone 16e early next year. The 17e is likely to follow suit and in fact have a similar launch timeline of around March-April in 2026. Reports this week suggest Apple's experiment with the model will continue, at least for one more year. Apple is likely to power the new version with the A19 chipset that will be introduced with the iPhone 17 series in September.
iPad Air Upgrade
The company could offer new upgrades with the iPad and the iPad Air lineup. The report says Apple will use the M4 chipset to power the new Air model, and maybe move the regular iPad to the M1 series chip for the first time. The Air series should see multiple display sizes once again but don't expect many changes in its design which could be reserved for the big 2027 launches.
MacBook Air With M5
Yes, the M5 MacBook Air is also in the launch pipeline for early 2026 and this could be announced along with the M5 MacBook Pro models. The Mac Air will also be getting two screen variants 13-inch and 15-inch but without any major design changes.
Smart Home Hub
Apple's Siri AI delay has forced the company to delay its smart home hub device which could finally be unveiled early next year. The company is hoping to have Siri AI ready for the iOS 26.4 update and by then we might also get more hardware supporting the new AI assistant.

Apple releases iOS 26 developer beta 4 with improved liquid glass interface
iOS 26 developer beta 4 returns AI summaries with disclaimers, improves the Liquid Glass effect, and adds welcome screens. Apple is also expected to rollout iOS 26 first public beta release this week New Delhi Apple has released the fourth developer beta of iOS 26, giving a clearer picture of what iPhone users can expect when the public beta rolls out. The iPhone maker is expected to roll out the public beta later this week. According to a report by TechCrunch, this version doesn't bring radical changes, but it refines the user experience across visuals, AI features, and app behaviour. iOS 26 developer beta 4: What's new AI-powered notification summaries make a return According to 9To5Mac, Apple has reintroduced AI-generated notification summaries in iOS 26 developer beta 4, especially for news content. The feature, which had been pulled earlier this year after misreporting a headline, is now back with a few safety nets. This time around, Apple has added a clear disclaimer in the setup screen, warning users that AI summarisation may alter the meaning of original headlines, as reported by TechCrunch. Refined Liquid Glass design Apple's Liquid Glass redesign, introduced earlier this year at the Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), continues to evolve. In beta 3, some of the transparency effects were pulled back, but beta 4 reportedly brings them back. Apps like Photos, Apple Music, Weather, and the App Store now feature slightly more fluid visuals with refined transparency. As per 9To5Mac, the Notification Center also gets a subtle update — introducing a dynamic tint that changes as users scroll, enhancing the overall sense of depth in the UI. New setup screens for key features Users updating to iOS 26 beta 4 are greeted with a new 'Welcome' splash screen, followed by introductory screens for various features. These include guided walk-throughs for Siri's new capabilities, AI notification settings, and the updated Camera app, helping users get familiar with what's new right from the start, reported TechCrunch. Public beta on the way While this release is currently limited to registered developers, the iOS 26 public beta is expected to go live later this week. Public betas are typically more stable and give regular users a chance to test upcoming features before the full release rolls out in the coming months.

TCS Hiring Woes: 600 Lateral Hires Await Onboarding, Write To Govt
Last Updated: While TCS has maintained that it will honour all job offers, the lack of clarity on timelines has sparked concern across the industry Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has reportedly delayed the onboarding of over 600 experienced professionals without prior notice, leaving many of them in a state of uncertainty. While the company has maintained that it will honour all job offers, the lack of clarity on timelines has sparked concern across the industry. The situation is being viewed as one of the most significant employment challenges in India's IT sector in recent times. Several mid- to senior-level professionals who had accepted offers from TCS now find themselves jobless and financially strained, having already resigned from previous roles in anticipation of joining the company. TCS has said that onboarding will be carried out in line with business requirements. 'We can confirm that, as always, TCS is committed to honour all offers we have made, whether it is to freshers or experienced professionals. Everyone who has received an offer from TCS will be onboarded. The joining dates are decided as per business demand, and in some cases, they do get adjusted to meet our business needs. We remain in continuous touch with all candidates in these cases and look forward to them joining our company soon," The Economic Times quoted a TCS spokesperson as saying. The Nascent Information Technology Employees Senate (NITES), an employee welfare body, has written to Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya seeking urgent action. In its letter dated July 22, NITES described the delay as 'exploitative" and a 'criminal breach of trust" by one of the country's largest IT employers. The letter highlights that candidates from cities including Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Delhi have been affected. Many of them were told of an indefinite delay only upon reporting for duty and have since received no further communication, revised timelines, or commitments. NITES has urged the labour ministry to step in and direct TCS to provide a time-bound onboarding plan for the impacted professionals. It has also demanded compensation for the period of delay, access to TCS's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for mental health support, and alternative role consideration within the organisation. view comments First Published: July 23, 2025, 13:27 IST Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
