Oasis tour Cardiff banned items and parking ahead of Liam and Noel's epic return
Liam and Noel Gallagher's return to the stage is now just weeks away with the tour kicking off on Friday 4th July. Oasis fans heading to Cardiff for the first night of the Live 25 tour have a long list of things they CAN'T bring into the stadium.
According to the Principality Stadium's official website only small bags and handbags are allowed in the stadium. So any fans with larger rucksacks or suitcases will need to store them before they get there. The rules state:
'Due to the current unprecedented security situation, it's better for everyone if you do not bring a bag at all. We will not permit large bags into the stadium but you will be permitted to take small bags and handbags in with you. We class small bags as no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm or standard handbags. There are no bag storage facilities available at the stadium – please plan ahead if you intend travelling to Cardiff with a large bag.'
Help is at hand as Cardiff has several companies that store large bags, including Stasher in the town centre which is open 24 hours a day.
There is also a large list of items which are banned from entering the stadium. These include leaflets, banners and flags if they are deemed to be promotional, commercial, political or religious.
As well as this the full list of banned items are: 'Fireworks, flares, pyrotechnics, all horns including air horns, musical instruments, smoke canisters, laser pointers, bottles, glasses, cans, cooking devices, banners, poles, large golf-type umbrellas, 'selfie 'sticks, knives, blades and other articles or containers – including any which could or might be used as a weapon – or any other item which in the reasonable opinion of the WRU Group, its servants or agents, could be used as a weapon or cause nuisance to others, are prohibited within the Stadium.'

According to the Principality website the doors open for the first and second Oasis live 25 shows on July 4 and July 5 at 5pm.
In terms of parking in Cardiff close to the stadium, it may pay to plan ahead as it is extremely limited, with no dedicated spectator parking options at or near the stadium.
It's recommended to pre-book parking in city centre car parks, which are a short walk away from the stadium, to ensure a space and avoid the hassle of searching on the day.
The stadium website says: 'There's plenty of parking options in the city centre, but there is no dedicated spectator car parking at or immediately near the stadium, so be sure to plan your journey in advance.
'Please note that for Stadium concerts and events, road closures will be in place – please check your specific event information for further details.'
The largest car parks in Cardiff are the NCP car parks at Dumfries Place with 955 spaces and Knox Road with 747 spaces. Dumfries Place is a 23 minute walk to the stadium with Knox Road 20 minutes. Other options include apps which allow you to rent parking spaces from locals like just park.com
The nearest train station to the Principality Stadium is Cardiff Central, which operates mainline services from West Wales, the Midlands, the South Coast and London. Upon arriving into the station, the ground is a five-minute walk away.
Oasis began their rehearsals on May 20 with the first sessions being without Liam who was resting his voice. Noel Gallagher was pictured alongside Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, Gem Archer, Andy Bell and new drummer Joey Waronker.
In April Noel broke his silence in a new book to talk about the Oasis Live 25 tour.
On the demand for tickets, Noel told photographer Kevin Cummins: "I thought it'd be a big deal, but I was a bit taken aback by just how much of a big deal it was.'
Liam then joined rehearsals with the rest of Oasis on June 3 and at the time Liam told fans he was feeling 'biblical' about being back with brother Noel performing for the first time in 16 years.
Earlier this year Noel was quizzed to name his favourite Oasis song but replied: "Can I have more than one? Supersonic, Some Might Say, Live Forever and Rock'n'Roll Star."
The UK shows will also feature special guests Richard Ashcroft and Cast, who are friends with the band.

Tiny Scottish island 'looks like Caribbean' full of 'treasures' to explore
A travel expert has highlighted a tiny island off the coast of Scotland that boasts stunning 'Caribbean-like' views with white sands and turquoise waters If you're looking for somewhere idyllic to visit this summer, the perfect solution may be much closer than you think. Travel expert Chris Lawlor claims there is an island right here off the Scottish coast that offers an experience like the Caribbean as well as a range of activities to keep you busy during your stay. "Did you know that in Scotland you can visit a tiny island that looks like the Caribbean with a white sandy beach and turquoise waters?" he began in a TikTok video. Sharing footage of the island of Iona as proof, Chris headed inland where he added that the whole island is "explorable on foot". Chris headed to a nearby "sacred abbey" that offers "tranquillity" by the coast, as he went onto highlight the "many other treasures" along his walk. "It's only a 10-minute boat ride from the Isle of Mull," he said. Before leaving, he suggested "soaking in the views" as you visit Ailidh - a small pizza takeaway on the coast, which also offers a variety of local seafood and sweet treats on its menu. "Remember to respect this wee island called Iona," he closed. "I've spent so much time in Scotland over the years, but completely missed this gem," one TikTok user admitted in response. "Thanks for sharing." A second person recalled: "Visited here with family when I was about 11 I never forget this place because of how clear the water was looking over the side of the boat and seeing hundreds of little jellyfish fish." A third gushed: "One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Meanwhile a fourth added: "I was lucky enough to visit Iona during my time in Scotland. I stumbled upon an art store and bought a beautiful glass dish. Even on a cold, cloudy day it's beautiful." The island's tourism website adds: "Iona, with its beauty and white sand beaches, has a time and place for everyone. From Dunbhuirg, the Iron Age fort, to the Marble Quarry, worked even in the 20th Century; from St Columba's Bay in the south, to the White Strand of the Monks in the north, many places have their stories to tell." The site adds that Iona's wealth of activities include golf, fishing, shopping and dining out experiences and of course, its walks. "The joy of Iona is that everything on the island is happily reached on foot," Welcome to Iona continues. "And though relatively small, the island has a wide variety of places to enjoy from the beautiful beaches that surround Iona to the high point of Dun I which affords dramatic views of the surrounding islands."

Coronation Street legend Maureen Lipman reveals difficulties she has on set
Coronation Street star Dame Maureen Lipman has spoken about the challenges she's faced on the ITV soap. The legendary actress, 78, has appeared as harridan Evelyn Plummer in the long-running serial drama since 2018, but since January has only appeared in a recurring capacity. Her exit story saw her depart for a university law course, prompted by best pal Roy Cropper (David Neilson). Maureen revealed that the reason behind her contract change was in order to 'have a bit of a life.' She last appeared on screen in March after learning that daughter Cassie (Claire Sweeney) had been cast out by the locals after being caught out for drugging and stealing from Ken Barlow (William Roache). Now, speaking on the 20 Questions podcast, Maureen has addressed the fast-paced environment working on Corrie, plus her distaste at the show's direction and scripts. 'One of the problems of being in a soap, for example, is because you're doing eight or 10 scenes a day, you read it, you move it, and then you film it,' she said. 'Boom, boom, thank you, and have another crack at it if something has gone wrong, but on the whole that's it. It's almost like radio, but there's cameras there.' She continued: 'You can't do anything. People are just talking heads. They're standing there going, 'Don't you talk to me like that…' if it's EastEnders. Or, 'I'll have a word with you…' if it's Coronation Street.' 'Nobody is picking their nose or scrubbing the sink down while they're talking, or making three Martinis. It's all just heads talking. 'That's not what life is like. You're in a bedroom somewhere and you're talking to me, you're listening, you're making notes … I'm picking up my phone… 'It's very complicated a human life, you never just do one thing.' She also noted that on her first day on set, show icon Barbara Knox told her that there's 'no time to do anything'. Maureen went on to comment about receiving very little direction in scenes. 'As far as directors are concerned it's a curious egg. I would love to work with somebody who knows more than I do about what you do on stage,' she added. Particularly in television, certainly on something like Corrie, you hardly get any direction at all.' Speaking about her late husband Jack Rosenthal, who penned 130 scripts between 1961 and 1969, she continued: 'You can only be as good as your writer.' More Trending 'So often you are making things work on television particularly. Slightly altering the words. 'Think about Coronation Street, which I love doing and I'm very fond of it, and I love the fact I can pop in and out. 'But every episode is a different writer so you basically never get, what you used to get when Jack wrote it, you would write a block of six, so the same voice, the same rhythms and you didn't have to worry about whether the words suited your character, it was there, it was a single voice. View More » 'A lot of the time now, in a series, you've got a different writer each one. You're sort of having to fit it into your mouth like a big fur glove and make it in character. That can make you a bit unpopular if you do it too much.' If you've got a soap or TV story, video or pictures get in touch by emailing us soaps@ – we'd love to hear from you. Steph's dramatic Emmerdale exit story revealed - and it's very soon
Following Georgia Jay's pregnancy announcement, it won't be long until her Emmerdale character temporarily leaves the village. Georgia has played Steph Miligan since November last year. The character is the daughter of Caleb and Ruby Miligan (William Ash and Beth Cordingly). Earlier this year, Steph was part of a dark and heartbreaking storyline that saw her learn the real connection between her and Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day). Mum Ruby revealed to Steph that she was sexually abused by her father Anthony when she was a child. A DNA test then confirmed that the evil man is Steph's biological dad and grandfather. Star Georgia announced her pregnancy back in June. Alongside a picture of her cradling her bump, Georgia wrote on Instagram: 'As you've probably guessed, I've got some news to share! I know some of you have been wondering if you've been seeing a little bump on screen lately… well, it's not your imagination…I'm having a baby!'. She added: 'We've never been so excited and a little nervous all at once. Thank you for all the love and support.' According to The Sun, Georgia's departure scenes as Steph will air in the coming weeks, to tie in with maternity leave. 'Everyone's thrilled for Georgia and can't wait to see her back when she's ready. Steph's exit will happen in the next few weeks and see her flee abroad in typically dramatic fashion', a source told the publication. 'But with Anthony's body still out there, there's a huge storyline still to be wrapped up for when she returns.' Anthony was murdered by Ruby in January. More Trending The character's body was disposed of by John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth); however, in April, Steph made a major discovery. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? In the woods, Steph made her way to where John claimed he had buried Anthony's body. She realised most of the soil was undisturbed, therefore suggesting burial location was somewhere else. View More » With all eyes on him, John finally revealed that Anthony isn't buried here after all and he withheld his true burial spot for their own good because they don't need to know where it is.
