Panchayat Season 5: Chandan Kumar mentioned in the interview that script and direction for Season 5 are ready. Currently, season 4 is being premiered
Panchayat Season 5: One of the most popular web series, Panchayat has been entertaining the audience with its current season. The show and its actors have been ruling hearts for a long time. Recently, writer Chandan Kumar shared a big update about Season 5. He revealed that the direction and script are ready.
In an exclusive conversation with India Today, writer Chandan Kumar said, 'The more seasons we do, the more expectations rise amongst fans. That is very challenging. Our attempt is not to do something completely out of the box. The story needs to be connected. There needs to be a prelude to everything that is happening. We don't do anything random. We keep things interconnected."
'The feedback was almost similar to what we had anticipated," Kumar reveals. 'Similarly, while Season 4 is releasing, we already have the direction and script for Season 5. We don't take the audience's love for granted. Every decision is made keeping in mind the world we've created and the people who've grown with it," he added.
Recently, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Neena Gupta reflected on Panchayat's phenomenal success. She said, 'I could have never thought this would be so successful. The writing was good, which is why we all said yes to it. The cast was good and I knew many of them. It was fun. But I never imagined it would be such a grand success."
Panchayat revolves around the story of Abhishek (Jitendra Kumar), an MBA aspirant who becomes the Panchayat Secretary of Phulera, a small village. Meanwhile, Neena Gupta plays the role of Manju Devi, the Panchayat chief.
Panchayat season 4 boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Raghuvir Yadav, Faisal Malik, Chandan Roy, Sanvikaa, Durgesh Kumar, Sunita Rajwar, Ashok Pathak, and Pankaj Jha, alongside Jitendra Kumar and Neena Gupta. The latest season of Panchayat is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Panchayat 4 received mixed reviews from all. News18 Showsha gave the show a 4-star rating. 'The biggest letdown this season is the sluggish pacing and narrow focus. The entire narrative revolves around the election battle, with little to no development in the other subplots that once gave Panchayat its layered charm. We're left waiting until the second half of the final episode just to find out the election results, by then, the excitement has long worn off," a part of our review read.

Kareena Kapoor Reveals Randhir Kapoor And Babita Want To "Spend Their Old Age Together" After Years Of Separation
New Delhi: Kareena Kapoor, during a recent conversation with Barkha Dutt, talked about her parents' equation in details. Randhir Kapoor and Babita had a love marriage but they soon parted their ways due to compatibility issues. Though the couple never divorced each other, they have reunited to spend their old age together, said Kareena on the show. What's Happening Reflecting upon Randhir Kapoor and Babita's decision of staying together, Kareena said, "That is something that has come a full circle for Karisma and me, which is absolutely, it's like a divine kind of intervention which has happened. Individually, I think both of them have been wonderful because I mean my father has always supported whatever I wanted to do in my life." After years of separation, they have decided to spend their old age together "because that's where their journey started and that's where exactly they are together," Kareena summed up. Kareena also credited her mother who helped Karisma to break the glass ceiling in the family to become the first woman who had built a career in films. She mentioned that her father had to agree with her mother. "In a marriage, a man does realise that a woman, the mother, is the primary caregiver, and if he does support the mother in a positive way, you can raise a couple of beautiful children. It does happen, but the men have to know what all the mother does and they have to give them the credit they have to support them," said Kareena. Echoing the universal sentiment of calling one's parents the best, Kareena said, "Everyone's parents are the best parents in the world. Yes. And my parents are the best parents in the world." Randhir Kapoor And Babibta's Love Story Randhir Kapoor fell in love with Babita when he saw her for the first time on the sets of his father Raj Kapoor's film, Sangam. Babita had just made her debut in films before they met in 1969. They started dating and Randhir Kapoor's parents gave their approval to their union. The Kapoors proposed to Babita on their son's behalf. Randhir Kapoor and Babita Kapoor married in November 1971, but he returned to his parents' residence in 1988 and never filed for divorce. Randhir Kapoor earlier told Hindustan Times, "She found that I was a terrible man who drank a lot and came home late, which was something she didn't like. And I didn't want to live the way she wanted, and she couldn't accept me as I was, though it was a love marriage. So it's okay. We had two lovely children to look after. She brought them up in the best way and they have excelled in their career. What else could I have asked for as a father?" In A Nutshell Kareena Kapoor has revealed that Randhir Kapoor and Babita have decided to spend their old age together after staying apart for years.

Sardaar Ji 3 box office collection: Record-breaking performance in Pakistan pushes Diljit Dosanjh's controversial film towards Rs 20 crore mark
Sardaar Ji 3 box office collection: Braving the controversy over the presence of Pakistani actor Hania Aamir in its cast, despite a ban imposed by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) on artistes from the neighboring country in the wake of the Pahalgam attack, the Punjabi horror comedy Sardaar Ji 3 is continuing its successful run at the box office. In spite of not receiving a release in India due to the row, the Diljit Dosanjh-starrer raked in impressive moolah during its opening weekend, thanks to the overwhelming response it has been getting in Pakistan. According to the makers, the third instalment in the Diljit Dosanjh-led franchise has grossed a whopping Rs 18.1 crore worldwide in just three days. Following a 'record-breaking overseas opening' of Rs 4.32 crore on Friday (June 27), which rose to Rs 6.71 crore on day two, the horror comedy recorded a global gross of Rs 7.07 crore on Sunday, taking its total worldwide collection to Rs 18.1 crore. If the current trend continues and the movie manages to maintain momentum, Sardaar Ji 3 might even surpass the collection records set by the first two instalments in the franchise, further underscoring how much not getting a theatrical release in India has impacted its potential earnings. Meanwhile, the film has also achieved another milestone by recording the biggest opening for an Indian movie in Pakistan. According to India Today, Sardaar Ji 3 earned Rs 3.5 crore (PKR) on its first day, surpassing the record previously held by director Ali Abbas Zafar's Sultan (2016), featuring Salman Khan, Anushka Sharma and Randeep Hooda in key roles, which had minted Rs 3.4 crore (PKR) on its opening day. Although it's been four days since the film hit screens, the controversy surrounding it seems far from over. Recently, legendary actor Naseeruddin Shah also came out in support of Diljit Dosanjh. In a now-deleted Facebook post, he wrote, 'I STAND FIRMLY WITH DILJIT. The dirty tricks deptt of Jumla Party has been awaiting a chance to attack him. They think they've got it at last. He was not responsible for the casting of the film, the director was. But no one knows who he is whereas Diljit is known the world over, and he agreed to the cast because his mind is not poisoned.' Breaking his silence on the matter, the singer-turned-actor told BBC Asian Network, 'When the film was made, the situation was fine. This film was shot in February. A lot of things happened after that which are not in our control. When it (Pahalgam attack) happened, the producers knew that they can't release this film in India anymore. But, they decided to release it overseas as they have invested a lot of money in the film. They will 100% suffer losses because they are removing an entire territory. The truth is when I signed the film, the situation was just fine. Now, when the producers want to release it overseas, I will have to stand with them and support their decision.'
