Olivia Rodrigo covers Fontaines D.C. in Dublin
Olivia Rodrigo has become "really obsessed" with Fontaines D.C. and covered their 2022 track I Love You in Dublin.
The good 4 u hitmaker brought the GUTS World Tour: Spilled to Marlay Park on Tuesday night (24.06.25) - and paid tribute to the hometown heroes.
She told the crowd before belting out the track: 'You guys have really amazing music here. There are so many incredible bands out of Dublin.
'Lately I've been really obsessed with this band Fontaines D.C. I've been playing this song alone in my room for fun. I was wondering if it'd be cool if I played it for you guys?'
Olivia is headlining Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage on Sunday (29.06.25).
She previously gushed on her Instagram Stories: 'Headlining glasto has been one of my biggest dreams for so long. Truly can't believe this! So grateful and sooo excited. Hope to see you there."
Olivia will be hoping her biggest fear doesn't come true on the Glasto stage, after confessing that she worries she'll "pee [her] pants on stage".
The 22-year-old pop star has enjoyed a meteoric rise over recent years - but Olivia still feels anxious whenever she performs in front of a large crowd.
Asked to reveal her "greatest fear", Olivia told People: "[I'm afraid] I'm going to pee my pants on stage."
The chart-topping star also revealed she's developed a very defined post-gig routine.
Asked to reveal the first thing she does when she gets off stage, the pop star said: "I drink a ton of water."
Olivia subsequently admitted that she tries to avoid taking on too many fluids before her concerts, because she fears she might have an embarrassing accident.She confessed: "I'm always scared to drink water before I go on stage."

Thousands pour in for Glastonbury Festival start
Glastonbury, the world's largest greenfield music festival, has opened its gates to around 200,000 ticket holders who will see performers ranging from Olivia Rodrigo to Rod Stewart and Charli xcx. Festival organiser Emily Eavis said it was "lovely" to welcome the first revellers into Worthy Farm in southwest England with her dad, Michael, who founded the event in 1970. The 2025 edition sold out in 35 minutes, before any headliners were announced. The festival will take one of its periodical "fallow" years in 2026 to reduce the environmental impact on the dairy farm. "It is always a huge celebration when we go out for the fallow year," Emily Eavis told Reuters. "You can really feel it in the areas and all of the festival-goers wanting to eke out every last second of it." Pop rock band The 1975 will headline the main Pyramid Stage on Friday, while Neil Young tops the bill on Saturday. Rod Stewart, 80, will take the coveted legends slot on Sunday afternoon and 22-year-old US singer Olivia Rodrigo closes the show on the biggest stage later that evening. Stewart has also turned his hand to designing a giant boombox-shaped toilet for the festival. WaterAid's Boombox Bog houses a toilet that sits behind the tape deck of a giant blue boombox decorated featuring a leopard print, a pattern often worn by the veteran rocker. Festival-goers will be able to hear some of Stewart's hits from the Boombox Bog including Da Ya Think I'm Sexy? and Sailing while also listening to water-themed messages from the singer. Among the list of acts will be Irish rap group Kneecap, performing days after one of its members was charged with a terrorism offence for allegedly displaying a flag in support of Iran-backed militant group Hezbollah. Britain's Prime Minister Keir Starmer told the Sun newspaper it was "not appropriate" for the group to appear. Liam O'Hanna, whose stage name is Mo Chara, is alleged to have waved the flag during a gig in London in November 2024.
