I tried viral angel hair chocolate – what on earth is it?
The sweet treat (currently on sale for £4.50 with a Clubcard) is made of ruby and white chocolate, but inside it has pistachio cream and cotton candy (also known as candyfloss to us in the UK).
This week, I have watched endless amounts of people eat the chocolate bar on TikTok during my evening hourly doom scroll.
Many have compared it to what can only be described as 'eating a carpet' due to the candyfloss "fibres", so I had no idea what to expect, and I think I actually scared myself.
Truth be told, I'm still asking, what the hell did I eat? In fact, I can't stop thinking about it, as it might be the weirdest thing I've digested in 2025 so far.
As soon as I unwrapped the Noesis Angel Hair Chocolate bar, there was an almighty waft of white chocolate, now this sweet scent of vanilla was a delight to get started with.
But then came the real fun part, it was time to snap the chocolate bar in half to see what was waiting for me inside.

I know it's candyfloss, but my mind could hardly accept it as it was so dense.
Anyway, I got a grip and took a bite - my mouth was instantly filled with a very bizarre texture, I almost felt like I'd bitten into a tea towel and I froze.
But after only a few seconds later, I carried on rapidly chewing and noticed it was dissolving.
All of a sudden, it turned into a pleasant chocolatey mix so I began to relax.

Sadly, I thought the pistachio flavour lacked a little for my liking - in my opinion, there could be more of it.
What I will say, is that this bar is only 70g, and although quite thick, it's awfully small for the price (after about two bites each between me and my partner, it was gone).
Would I eat it again? Absolutely. But it might be the first and last time I spend near enough £5 for a smaller-than-average bar of chocolate that left my taste buds with such confusion.

Bargain hunter bereft after receiving unwelcome surprise in her £3.30 Too Good To Go box
For many waste-conscious customers, Too Good To Go offers the chance to nab food that would have ended up in the bin at a fraction of the original cost. But bargain hunters won't know what they are going to receive until they turn up at the shop door to collect their mystery bag. For Florence Gibbs-Price, from Yorkshire, the temptation of grabbing a delicious haul from her local Asda Express for just £4.40 convinced her to try the scheme for the very first time. But the 24-year-old would likely 'leaf' the idea alone from now on after her first-time purchased contained a bizarre assortment - of seven lettuces and more than a dozen bags of salad. The disgruntled shopper filmed herself unpacking the epic fail on TikTok, where the clip went viral and garnered more than 99,000 views. 'I was shocked that it was all the same thing - and way too much for even a family of four to consume in one night,' Florence, who works in marketing. But one fan in the crowd was caught on camera having to use the app Shazam to find out what a hugely popular hit from the 90s actually was - leaving some furious commenters on social media wondering why she bought a ticket. A TikTok account dedicated to both Oasis and Richard Ashcroft shared a video of The Verve frontman performing the band's biggest hit, Bitter Sweet Symphony, during the opening night of the tour on Friday. The video then pans across the crowd, most of whom were singing along to the well-known track, before settling on one woman who had the Shazam app open on her phone. Shazam can tell you the name of a song just by listening to it and is widely used by people to find details about tracks playing in shops or even on adverts. But social media users were left baffled at the woman's apparent lack of knowledge of the 1997 hit, especially given her presence at an Oasis gig. Several even referred to Bitter Sweet Symphony as so well-known that it should be the "national anthem" of the UK. The TikTok account wrote on the video: "Did they just Shazam the national anthem?" And they added in the caption: "Imagine not knowing the greatest song of all time." Most commenters were in agreement, with many disgruntled fans claiming they "deserved" tickets to the sold-out shows more than others who don't know the words to some of the biggest tracks performed on the night. One person said: "There's no way I lost tickets to someone Shazaming one of the most popular songs of the Britpop era." Another added: "How are you going to an Oasis gig not knowing Bitter Sweet Symphony?" Even the official Jedward account posted: "If you don't know Bitter Sweet Symphony, we can't be friends." But others were on the woman's side, pointing out that she bought tickets to see Oasis and shouldn't be expected to know the support acts, no matter how famous other people might think they are. Someone pointed out: "Concerts were originally made for people to discover new music, not for die-hard fans who know every song; this is actually really valid of her." Another declared: "Going to a concert and not knowing all of the songs is normal, calm down." Meanwhile, Oasis fans were left "heartbroken" after the band's 23-song setlist in Cardiff this weekend, as one fan-favourite track was missing from the running order.
