Who are Jaguars' 2025 exclusive rights free agents?
We know who the big unrestricted free agents are for the Jacksonville Jaguars, but who are their exclusive rights free agents and what's the difference between the two?
The Jaguars have two exclusive rights free agents (ERFA) this offseason, according to Over the Cap, and that is defensive linemen De'Shaan Dixon and Esezi Otomewo.
An exclusive rights free agent (ERFA) is a player with two or fewer accrued NFL seasons. In order to gain an accrued year, a player must be on a team's 53-man roster for at least six regular season games.
While ERFA has the words 'free agent' in it, this isn't like being an unrestricted free agent where that player can choose where they go. If an ERFA is extended a qualifying offer from their current team, they cannot negotiate with other organizations.
These qualifying offers are one-year deals at the league minimum amount based on the player's tenure. If an ERFA is not extended that qualifying offer, they become unrestricted free agents.
Dixon would miss the entire 2024 season with an ACL injury he sustained during training camp. He joined the Jaguars in 2022 as an undrafted rookie and appeared in three games that season. Dixon then spent 2023 on the team's practice squad.
Otomewo was a fifth-round pick by Minnesota in 2022. This past season, he played in four games defensively for the Jaguars, where he totaled eight pressures and a sack in only 53 pass rush snaps, according to PFF.
With these ERFA contracts being league minimum deals, it's not uncommon to see these players brought back relatively often. With Otomewo, specifically, having seen some playing time last season and making the 53-man roster, one would think it's quite likely he returns.

OKC Thunder to split 2025 Summer League coach duties to 2 assistants
With Summer League around the corner, the Oklahoma City Thunder will get a chance to see some fresh faces less than a month after they won the NBA championship. No sentence better exemplifies how around-the-clock the league can get. The Thunder introduced Thomas Sorber and Brooks Barnhizer. They were the NBA champions' sole draft picks at No. 15 and No. 44, respectively. Mark Daigneault also revealed who will coach Summer League this year. He played college basketball at Williams & Mary. Meanwhile, Johnson will enter his sixth season with the Thunder. He was previously the Philadelphia 76ers' G League coach. The Thunder have put their assistant coaches under different descriptions from time to time. Daigneault's coaching experience stems from his long tenure as the G League's OKC Blue head coach before he was a Thunder assistant for one season. This gives Dixon and Johnson a chance to get head coach reps in a low-stress NBA environment. The Thunder have had one of the best developmental programs over the years. That helped them reach an NBA championship this past week.

Tennessee Titans' Kevin Winston Jr. tabbed as DROY candidate
The Tennessee Titans went heavy on the offensive side of the ball during the 2025 NFL draft, adding multiple potential playmakers to the roster. That doesn't mean they ignored the defense. They used two premium picks on that side of the ball and added players who can potentially make an impact in Femi Oladejo and Kevin Winston Jr. Both Oladejo and Winston have a chance to compete for playing time. However, Winston has been limited due to his medical issues as he continues to rehab his knee after suffering an ACL injury early in 2024. That doesn't stop Jacob Infante from naming Winston his choice as the Titans' Defensive Rookie of the Year candidate. Tennessee Titans: Kevin Winston Jr. The Tennessee Titans took just one defender in the first five rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft. Almost by default, Kevin Winston Jr. seems like their top contender for Defensive Rookie of the Year. As a third-round safety, his odds of winning DROY aren't incredibly high. That said, he's a hard-hitting defensive back with a high football IQ. If he gets the right opportunity, he could surprise some people. His selection of Winston appears to be by default, after glossing over the Titans' second-round selection of Oladejo. There is no doubt that Winston could make an impact in 2025 if healthy. He is a complete safety prospect with the traits needed to succeed in the defense, but his biggest question will be his availability as he returns from injury. While Winston could make an impact, Oladejo has a more straightforward path to playing time early in the season. Oladejo may be inexperienced and raw on the edge, but he brings solid athleticism and an infectious attitude to the table, and comes complete with tremendous upside. With Tennessee needing increased production from the position, Oladejo may get an opportunity early on to impress. While it is likely that both players will see significant playing time, the Titans also added a veteran during the offseason at their respective positions, making training camp crucial for both young players to establish themselves.

Yankees' Marcus Stroman: Knee Pain Stems From Torn ACL From 2015
Marcus Stroman feels ready to return to the mound for the New York Yankees, able to manage pain in his left knee stemming from a torn ACL a decade ago. "It's something that I try not to put in my head because if you're just thinking about that 24/7, you're not in a good place," the 34-year-old right-hander said Saturday, a day before he faces the Athletics. Stroman has not pitched for the Yankees since allowing five runs in two-thirds of an inning against San Francisco on April 11. In three rehab appearances with Double-A Somerset that began June 11, Stroman was 0-1 with a 6.97 ERA. He allowed five runs, 10 hits and two walks over 3 2/3 innings on Wednesday against Detroit's Erie Seawolves. "I'm someone who definitely needs kind of the intensity to turn it on, so looking forward to kind of getting back out there," Stroman said. Stroman tore his ACL during a spring training fielding drill with Toronto on March 10, 2015, had surgery nine days later and returned to a big league mound that Sept. 19 when he beat the Yankees in a five-inning outing in the Bronx. He credited Nikki Huffman, his personal trainer and Toronto's head athletic trainer from 2018-19, with helping him manage the pain. "It's my ACL knee that I tore 10 years ago, so just figuring out how to deal with the soreness, the aching and then mechanically figuring out how to get away from kind of overdoing it into my knee." Stroman said. "When I'm more efficient mechanically, my knee's taking less stress." Stroman started the season 0-1 with an 11.57 ERA in three starts. He rejoins a rotation missing ace Gerrit Cole (Tommy John surgery), AL Rookie of the Year Luis Gil (strained right lat) and left-hander Ryan Yarbrough (strained right oblique). "He's got to command it. That's the biggest thing, is being where he wants on the plate and having a presence on both sides of the plate — can't just live one side," Yankees manager Aaron Boone said. "What is kind of the shapes of his pitches? Are is he crisp?" Stroman was 10-9 with a 4.31 ERA in 29 starts and one relief appearance over 154 2/3 innings last season, his most since 2021 with the Mets. Stroman struggled in the second half and did not pitch in the postseason, when the Yankees made their first World Series appearance since 2009. Boone discounted the last minor league outing.
