Owen Farrell set to make Lions' tour debut after controversial call-up
The former England captain made the dash to Australia on Friday after his father, Lions coach Andy Farrell, summoned him as cover when utility back Elliot Daly broke his arm.
It raised eyebrows with the 33-year-old earning the last of his 112 Test caps at the 2023 World Cup, and on the back of an underwhelming and injury-plagued season with French club Racing 92.

The BBC and Sky Sports said the fly-half was in line to play against an AUNZ invitational side on Saturday after taking part in his first full training session in Canberra on Tuesday.
Former Ireland No. 10 Johnny Sexton, the Lions' kicking coach, said he had fitted in seamlessly since arriving.

'As you'd expect with someone with that experience, he's fitted in. He's hit the ground running, so it's great to see,' Sexton told Sky.
'He must have had the playbook on the plane on the way over because he came in and he's not missed a beat.
'He's been on top of things in training and that's exactly why you pick someone with experience who knows about a Lions tour because it might take someone else 10 days to fit in.' Farrell, who is on his fourth Lions tour, announced last month he was returning to Saracens after a single season with Racing 92.
That would again make him eligible to play for his country and Lions and England skipper Maro Itoje said he would love to see him back.
'If he wants to play for England, why not? That would be amazing if that is in his plans and in his dreams,' Itoje told the BBC.
'Owen is one of the best England players that we've ever seen. A fit Owen Farrell makes any team better.
'I've had the honour and privilege of playing alongside Owen for all but one of the years I've played professional rugby,' he added.
'He's a real team man. He always wants the team to do well. He's quite selfless in that respect.'
The Adelaide game will be the Lions' fifth since arriving in Australia and the last for players to put their hand up to be in the matchday 23 for the first Test against the Wallabies on July 19.

Pakistan fast bowling legend Wasim Akram hailed Australia's Mitchell Starc as a 'modern-day great' for reaching 100 Test appearances. Starc, who has often drawn comparisons with fellow left-arm quick Akram, will reach the milestone when the third Test against the West Indies begins in Jamaica. 'It is a big deal in this day and age to reach 100 Tests, congratulations to Starc,' Akram told AFP. 'That shows the quality and resolve of the man.' The 35-year-old becomes the 83rd player and 16th Australian to play 100 Tests, and only the second Australian fast bowler after Glenn McGrath. 'To play 100 Tests shows how consistent Starc has been and also shows where his priorities lie -- that is to play red-ball cricket,' Akram said. 'He has also played Twenty20 and league cricket but his career in Test cricket is way ahead and to me he is a modern-day great.' Starc stands on 395 Test wickets, so has the tantalising prospect of taking his landmark 400th wicket during his 100th Test. His strike rate is remarkably similar to Akram, who retired in 2002 after taking 414 wickets in 104 Tests. ‘The game's rorted': Maroons forward who labelled Origin ref ‘double agent' reprimanded
Maroons extended squad member Josh Kerr has labelled Origin referee Ashley Klein a 'double agent' in an all-time interview following Queensland's series-deciding win in Sydney. The Dolphins forward was in good spirits on Thursday morning when he fired a light-hearted barb at Klein over his officiating in game three, with the NRL handing down a breach notice alleging Kerr's comments were 'detrimental to the best interests of the game'. The Queensland squad member was also deemed to have 'undermined the credibility of match officials', being given five days to respond before a potential punishment is handed down. Klein came under fire after game two in which the Blues were on the wrong end of a lop-sided 10-2 penalty count. That was reversed in the decider where the Blues won the count 7-3. The Maroons were too strong for the Blues in the series decider, winning 24-12 at Sydney's Accor Stadium. The visitors led 20-0 at halftime, scoring three unanswered tries through Xavier Coates, Tom Dearden and Harry Grant. Blues centre Stephen Crichton scored the first try of the night for the hosts at the 55th minute, before Dearden went in for his second of the night at the 73rd minute, to seal the result. NSW winger Brian To'o scored a consolation try at the 79th minute. It was Maroons coach Billy Slater's third series win from his four in charge, going back to 2022.
