Twitch streamer breaks down in laughter trying to promote MindsEye
Even paid Twitch streamers are struggling to promote MindsEye thanks to its rough performance.
Some say that any publicity is good publicity, but games like MindsEye prove that isn't the case. It's pre-launch period already gave off odd vibes, with the co-CEO of developer Build A Rocket Boy insinuating that someone had paid for all the negative previews MindsEye had received.
Now, the game is officially out and to say its launch has been troubled would be an understatement. It's quickly become the new punching bag for gamers, thanks to numerous bugs and glitches. We'd compare it to Cyberpunk 2077's launch, but at least that game worked on PC.
Even the sponsored livestreams of MindsEye are doing more to hurt the game's image than help it, which has led to Build A Rocket Boy cancelling many of them.
In a clip shared to Bluesky, streamer CohhCarnage, who has an audience of over 1.6 million on Twitch, revealed he had to cancel a sponsored MindsEye stream shortly before it began.
'My sponsored stream was supposed to start at 8, I opened up MindsEye, and as it was loading, my management contacted me and said, 'The sponsor does not want to do this right now. It would like to reschedule,'''' explained Cohh Carnage, pointing out that this has never happened before in his entire streaming career.

The internet is filled with other live reactions that do MindsEye no favours. In one clip shared to the MindsEye subreddit, DarkViperAU couldn't help but break down laughing at the end of his stream, despite being paid to promote the game, as he tried to inform his viewers where they could buy it.
In a video on MindsEye's launch by MoistCr1TiKaL, he shares a clip from a stream by Sodapoppin (who has at least nine million Twitch followers) where the game kept crashing, forcing the streamer to read off talking points while he tried to fix it.
Ironically, all this negative buzz could encourage sales of MindsEye, since some people will want to experience the game first hand, as it becomes a hit with streamers and their audiences.
In a Reddit post, Build A Rocket Boy promised that a hotfix to address performance will arrive for PC by the end of the week and for consoles 'as soon as possible.'
Build A Rocket Boy has ambitious long-term plans for MindsEye, as it's meant to incorporate a creation tool that lets you build your own mods and missions. The game's roadmap also promises new quests, multiplayer, and a Hitman crossover. More Trending
A redemption arc for MindsEye certainly isn't impossible. Cyberpunk 2077 demonstrated that it's possible to salvage a game's reputation after an incredibly mess launch.
However, that not only took years of work, but Cyberpunk 2077 had the benefit of incredibly strong launch sales and a workable PC version that showed the game could be great.
Sales for MindsEye haven't been shared yet but while it lacks any formal reviews from outlets (due to no review codes being sent out), word of mouth from players suggests the game wouldn't be that good even if it did work as intended.
Nobody should want a game to fail, but it's difficult to be optimistic about MindsEye's chances.

Review: Meet the game controller with a focus on floral patterns and funky lights
Review: Meet the game controller with a focus on floral patterns and funky lights GameSir have released perhaps their boldest creationr to date - the T7 Pro Floral Wired Controller T7 Pro Floral Wired Controller We live in a world where tech doesn't just have to be brilliant, it also needs to look good. Game controllers are just one of the things that need to look good as well as do the job for the gamer. GameSir is a specialist in controllers for PC, Android, Xbox and Switch devices and has released a wide array of products in this marketplace. Its latest is the T7 Pro Floral Wired Controller for the Xbox which has a very obvious standout pattern that makes it really eye-catching. I'll be honest on two fronts, flowery games controllers and a wired device would not normally be my go-to choice, but there is a lot to like here. Let's look at the visuals first, the design is funky and coats the front with a subtle light blue, turquoise design that actually really does look very smart. The semi-transparent casing of the controller looks superb with the RGB lighting included providing a stunning effect. In short, it looks absolutely brilliant, it's a crafted piece of kit that is designed to impress. GameSir know what it is doing with these controllers too and this is packed with the best tech you need for a solid gaming experience. With Hall Effect Trigger systems giving the smoothest of experiences, gameplay is highly responsive and rewarding. Vibration comes from rumble motors in the grips and triggers. The Nexus app is the place to go for customising buttons and changing the responsiveness. It adds to the mix and gives control for gamers to enjoy the controller to suit their needs. As I say, I'm not a fan of wired controllers, mainly because I'm used to wireless devices these days, but after a while I didn't mind. It's a really good responsive experience. I like the GameSir range and have had a good experience with its controllers, and the fact that this also looks so sharp is a bonus. The GameSir T7 Pro Floral Wired Controller for Xbox is available for £49.99 via the GameSir website. What users say Jennifer Young: "The GameSir T7 Pro Floral takes the original and adds 2 back buttons and some 2-step trigger stops, and on the whole, it does feel a lot better quality build than the T7. The Floral design gave me the impression it would be a little flimsier, but it's a sturdy piece of kit." Scott Webster: "The most obvious update here is aesthetic: a floral-patterned matte shell paired with a semi-transparent finish and dynamic RGB lighting. It's the kind of controller that looks just as at home in a curated setup as it does in the heat of battle. But underneath that glow is a full-featured wired controller built for responsive, accurate play." Alternatives Article continues below Razer Wolverine V2 Power A Wired controller

Resident Evil Requiem gameplay footage - watch the new trailer here
Capcom has unveiled Resident Evil 9 running in both first and third person views, along with a new gameplay video for Pragmata. With Monster Hunter Wilds still the best-selling game of the year, despite problems with the PC version, Capcom is on the best roll of their 46 year existence. They're hoping that the recently unveiled Resident Evil Requiem (aka Resident Evil 9) will continue that run and the new gameplay footage they've just unveiled suggests it probably will. Unfortunately, it's still only a minute or so of actual gameplay, and even that is based on what Capcom already showed at Summer Game Fest early in the month. It's still the most they've shown in public so far though, as the developers revealed a few more details about protagonist Grace Ashcroft, with still no indication that there are any other playable characters – despite rumours of Leon S. Kennedy and/or Jill Valentine being involved. It's perfectly possible that Capcom is keeping other playable characters a secret for now, but given how they describe Grace as being inexperienced with combat and naturally timid it seems she's very much the focus of the story. Or perhaps they just want to keep things scarier, by making your character less capable – with the footage so far having an almost Silent Hill style vibe to it. Resident Evil Requiem will launch on February 27, for Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC, which really isn't that far away, so they've got a lot to explain in a relatively short period of time. Sign up to the GameCentral newsletter for a unique take on the week in gaming, alongside the latest reviews and more. Delivered to your inbox every Saturday morning. The video above was part of the latest Capcom Spotlight, which was a bit longer and more substantial than usual. The other big reveal was gameplay footage for sci-fi game Pragmata, which Capcom weren't being quite so coy about. It's a curious mix of puzzle game and third person shooter, where you attack robot enemies in the normal manner but first have to remove their amour by playing a little puzzle game. There are also other non-combat puzzles, to represent hacking, and what looks like some light platforming. Doing two completely different things at once seems like it might be a challenge, but Capcom appear confident in it, and it'll be playable at Gamescom in August. The game itself will be released in 2026. The rest of the spotlight focused on live service games Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter Wilds, including a team-up with Fender for the latter, and only a brief mention for the upcoming Onimusha reboot. More Trending A little more time was spent on Kunitsu-Gami: Path Of The Goddess, with the game set to get an expansion called Otherworldly Venture, that includes what sounds like a survival mode. It wasn't entirely clear if it'll be free or not but there will also be an update for the first anniversary, that adds 8-bit style music to the game's already impressive soundtrack, and that definitely won't cost anything. Capcom tends to make most of its big reveals at other events, so it's difficult to say when you might hear more about Resident Evil, but Gamescom is a good bet, given they've already said they're going to be there. 8 Video Marketing Trends You Need To Watch Out For (2025)
If your marketing strategy doesn't include video in 2025, you're already playing catch-up. From TikToks to livestreams to those 45-second explainers you barely blink at before clicking 'Add to cart,' video is everywhere — and it's not slowing down. But here's the thing: what worked two years ago might now feel clunky or out of touch. The platforms have changed, the audiences are more selective, and the bar for engagement is sky-high. That's why it's crucial to stay on top of the latest video marketing trends — not just to 'keep up,' but to actually connect with people in a meaningful way. Digital Video Marketing Trends to Watch in 2025 So, what's worth watching this year? 1. AI Isn't Just a Buzzword Anymore Sure, AI video tools used to sound like sci-fi. Now? They're your assistant director. Such tools are helping creators script, generate, edit, subtitle, and even voiceover their content — often in minutes. But no, it doesn't mean marketers are turning into robots. It means we can finally focus more on the creative side — the storytelling — while AI handles the repetitive bits. And if you're tracking social media marketing trends, you'll notice most of them rely on short, smart, AI-assisted video content that performs well across platforms. 2. Welcome to Shoppable Video Remember the days when we used to look up product reviews separately before buying? Now, you just tap on the lipstick someone's wearing in a video and add it to your cart. Shoppable videos are blending storytelling with shopping in dangerously seamless ways. Beauty brands, fashion labels, and even tech companies are embedding interactive elements directly into videos, so viewers can buy without leaving the stream. 3. Vertical Is the New Default Horizontal still has its place — especially for long-form YouTube content — but the reality is, we live in a vertical world now. Most people are watching on their phones, and the 9:16 aspect ratio is more than just a trend. It's the new normal. What's really happening in 2025 is a shift in how stories are told in short-form. It's not just about trimming a long video. Creators are planning specifically for short, punchy content that hooks you in the first 3 seconds. And if you're stitching multiple short videos into one for Instagram or Shorts, it's helpful to know how to merge videos in Windows 10 or macOS without pulling your hair out over compatibility or file size. 4. Livestreaming Got Smarter In 2025, livestreams are slicker, more strategic, and often, way more engaging. Brands aren't just winging it anymore — they're planning real-time launches, interviews, and Q&As like full-on productions. Livestream shopping events are especially hot, combining product demos with flash deals and real-time viewer questions. Think of it like QVC meets Twitch — but for literally any product or industry. What's changed most is that the stream itself is now a content pillar, not just a marketing side project. 5. LinkedIn Is Quietly Becoming a Video Powerhouse Yes, LinkedIn. The platform once known for awkward headshots and congratulating strangers on job changes is now one of the most effective places for B2B video content. In 2025, more companies are using LinkedIn for quick thought leadership clips, behind-the-scenes content, and even video resumes. It's not flashy, but it's real. And when your CMO shares a 60-second video explaining your company's new direction, people actually stop to watch. 6. Mute Buttons Rule the World Most people are watching videos with the sound off. On the bus. At work. In bed while pretending to sleep. So if your video relies on voiceover to make sense? That's a problem. This year, marketers are focusing more on strong visuals, animated text overlays, and captions that don't look like an outdated karaoke screen. Sound-off viewing isn't an accessibility feature anymore — it's the default viewing mode. So when creating content, ask yourself: 'Will this still make sense if I don't hear a word?' If the answer is no, time to rethink your format. 7. SEO for Video We all know Google loves video. But what's new in 2025 is how much video content is directly tied to search results. Think featured snippets that play videos, question-based YouTube videos popping up in the 'People Also Ask' section, and even voice search pulling from transcripts. If you're serious about video marketing, optimizing your videos for search engines is no longer optional. Use searchable titles, natural speech in your audio (so transcripts hit keywords), and embed content on your site. 8. Perfect Is Out. Authentic Is In. Here's one of the best video trends: people are finally over perfect content. Yes, high production value still has its place — but audiences are craving authenticity. The video of your team awkwardly unboxing a new prototype, or a founder ranting about a lesson they learned the hard way? That's the stuff people remember. It's raw. It's human. And honestly, it often performs better than the overproduced ad with a $20k budget. Brands in 2025 are building trust by letting their guard down. Behind-the-scenes clips, outtakes, casual vlogs — it's all fair game now. In other words: keep it real. Wrapping Up Video marketing in 2025 is about showing up right. That means keeping pace with fast-moving platforms, experimenting with new formats, and — most importantly — staying human in how you connect. You don't have to reinvent your entire strategy overnight. Start small. Try a new format, test interactive elements, or repurpose blog posts into videos. The important part is staying curious and paying attention to what actually resonates with your audience. Like this: Like Related
