Formula 2 champion Felipe Drugovich is all set to make his Formula E debut at the upcoming Berlin E-Prix. He will fill in Nyck De Vries' shoes at Mahindra Racing in Rounds 12 and 13 and will have Edoardo Mortara as his teammate at the Berlin race.
De Vries is unavailable for the race as he will be participating in the FIA World Endurance Championship at the time.
Felipe Drugovich has several wins to his credit
Felipe Drugovich, 25, has already proved his talent by winning the Euroformula Open and the FIA Formula 2 Championship. The Brazilian also serves as a reserve driver for Aston Martin in Formula 1.
Drugovich may not have raced in an electric car yet, but he is not new to the Berlin circuit or the GEN3 Evo car.
He has participated in the Berlin Rookie Test twice and topped the timesheets in 2023, which makes him familiar with the Tempelhof Airport circuit. He also appeared in a test in Spain to prove his ability to drive the Mahindra M11Electro ahead of his Formula E debut.
Talking about his upcoming Formula E debut, Drugovich said, "I'm very happy to confirm I will be making my Formula E debut with Mahindra Racing in Berlin. Formula E is a championship I've been around for a while now; having tested on several occasions, I'm excited to now get the opportunity to race.
Mahindra Racing is a fantastic team, one of the championship's standout names, and it's clear from their recent results that the new car is a significant step forward.
I'm looking forward to working closely with them to prepare for Berlin, and I'm sure we can have a good weekend together."
Mahindra Racing Team Principal Frederic Bertrand also added, 'His achievements speak for themselves, and he's been very impressive when he's tested a Formula E car in the past.
The benefit of having this confirmed so far in advance is that we have had plenty of time to get him fully integrated with the team, to prepare him properly for the race weekend, and give him the best opportunity to go out and showcase what he can do.

Envision Racing's Sebastien Buemi gets Nico Mueller's Jakarta podium after penalty is revoked

Image credit: Sebastien Buemi/Instagram Coming as major good news for Envision Racing driver Sebastien Buemi, the removal of a time penalty from the last Jakarta race has landed him on the podium. Buemi is now officially promoted to third place, while Nico Mueller, who had originally celebrated a podium alongside Dan Ticktum and Edoardo Mortara at the Jakarta E-Prix, has been moved to fourth. Sebastien Buemi wins third spot on the podium in Jakarta The five-second penalty initially handed to Sebastien Buemi at the Jakarta E-Prix for contact with Mahindra Racing's Edoardo Mortara was recently overturned following a FIA hearing. Due to the penalty, Buemi had finished eighth in Round 12 of the Jakarta race in June. However, the reversal has now reshaped the podium — much to Mueller's disappointment. According to additional footage from Envision Racing's roll hoop camera, which was not available at the time the penalty was applied, was reviewed in detail. Buemi had received the penalty for an on-track collision with Mortara. — FIAFormulaE (@FIAFormulaE) The FIA stated: 'The driver of Car 16 (Buemi) argued that the new element shows his overtaking manoeuvre was legitimate, that he was always in control of his car, and that when the slight contact occurred, he was fully alongside Car 48 (Mortara).' They further added: 'The driver of Car 48 agreed with the assessment and mentioned he barely felt the contact. Upon careful consideration of the circumstances, the Stewards find that no single party bears whole or predominant responsibility for the collision. Therefore, the Stewards decide to reverse Decision 12. As a result, the penalty (i.e., five-second time penalty and one penalty point) on Car 16 is removed, and no further action will be taken in relation to this collision. ' Sebastien Buemi's performance in 2025 Formula E season With this update, Buemi moved to 10th in the Formula E Driver Standings with 63 points. In addition to his newly awarded Jakarta podium, he also has one win this season, in the Monaco E-Prix during Round 7. Bellad seeks electric buses under PM's e-Drive scheme to North Karnataka cities

Deputy leader of Opposition in the assembly Arvind Bellad (BJP) has written to Union Heavy Industries Minister HD Kumaraswamy urging him to allocate electric buses under the PM's e-Drive scheme to North Karnataka cities like Hubballi-Dharwad , Belagavi, Kalaburagi, Ballari and Vijayapura. While Bengaluru has rightly received 4,500 e-buses, other regions also deserve attention. These cities have growing transport needs, existing KSRTC infrastructure, and in some cases BRT systems—making them ready for an efficient e-bus rollout, Bellad, who represents Hubballi-Dharwad West in the assembly, has said in his letter. Such a move will reduce regional disparities, curb emissions, create local jobs, and boost the EV ecosystem in underserved areas. A more balanced approach to green mobility will ensure true inclusive development across Karnataka, the BJP leader has said. Kumaraswamy had, in May, announced that Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad and Surat cities will get 10,900 brand new electric buses under the PM's e-Drive Scheme over the next two years. The PM e-Drive initiative aims to deploy 14,028 electric buses with a total financial outlay of Rs 10,900 crore over a two-year period from April 2024 to March 2026. The scheme represents one of the world's largest national efforts to electrify public transport at scale.
