First look at Drake Maye connecting with Stefon Diggs for touchdown

USA Today3 days ago
The connection between New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and wide receiver Stefon Diggs is slowly coming together behind the scenes.
Multiple players on offense, including Maye and Diggs, linked up ahead of training camp to work out together. The team is determined to get the offense back on track, and they are doubling down on the work outside of the building, given the many new additions to the roster.
Diggs, a former four-time Pro Bowler, was present at mandatory minicamp, but he didn't participate in the competitive 11-on-11 team periods. He is still working his way through the torn ACL injury he suffered during his time with the Houston Texans last year.
So far, he looks to be ahead of schedule in his recovery, and there's hope that he might even be healed enough to participate in training camp. Diggs and Maye teased their connection on social media with the duo linking up for a touchdown pass in a video clip from the workout, via griffinz_23's Instagram story.
The extra work is a sign that the key players on the roster are taking on the responsibility of preparing to the best of their ability. They aren't just looking to show up at training camp and see how everything fits.
It's a proactive group that could hold the keys to success for the organization as a whole.

Michael Jordan Picked Kevin Durant Over LeBron James And Kobe Bryant In Resurfaced Video

Michael Jordan Picked Kevin Durant Over LeBron James And Kobe Bryant In Resurfaced Video originally appeared on Fadeaway World. Kevin Durant recently took a hilarious jab at Michael Jordan while praising LeBron James' longevity. Following his comments, fans were not very pleased on social media and called him out. Durant was hence forced to reveal that he did not mean to disrespect Jordan and holds him in a very high regard. So much that he claimed to have spent $1 million on just Jordan's shoes. Advertisement Following this, a basketball page on Instagram resurfaced an old fan-made video that included Michael Jordan's 2013 interview with Ahmad Rashad, where Jordan indicated what he felt about Kevin Durant. It was also combined with Kobe Bryant's comments on Durant from his appearance on 'The Corp With A-Rod and Big Cat' in 2018. When Jordan was asked to pick between Kobe Bryant and LeBron James, he got flustered and could not decide. "Well, I'd say... Kevin Durant," said Jordan as he hilariously tried to create a way out for himself from that question. But it indicated that Jordan felt Durant belonged in the same discussion as James and Bryant. Following this, the video cuts to Kobe Bryant's comments on Durant after he retired, where he claimed he was the hardest to guard. Advertisement "Kevin Durant, that was the one I had to retire without having been able to figure out what it is that he--- how I can stop him." Then the video cuts to Durant's comments on what he said to Patrick Beverley during their back-and-forth trash-talking in a Warriors game. "Back and forth with Patrick Beverley, I'm Kevin Durant, you know who I am. Y'all know who I am." While the video is originally a fan-made video to highlight Kevin Durant's greatness, some fans were still unhappy with Durant and criticized him in the comments section. Fans also pointed out that in the original interview with Rashad, Jordan in fact corrects himself later and answers the question directly, saying LeBron James is more dominant but Kobe Bryant is a better winner. Here are some other criticisms that Durant got from the fans in the post's comment section. Advertisement "They cut the scenes. MJ was just playing, he was going to take LBJ or Kobe anyway over KD. He can't win nothing without Steph [Curry]." "He was clearly joking because he didn't want to choose between them. Jeez the internet is dumb." "Insecure can never be GOAT." "Unlimited skill but can't win a chip by himself. The definition of good for no reason lol" "People are gonna feed into this knowing he said something different." "The Boston Celtics made this man look pedestrian in the playoffs." To be fair, James and Bryant are better than Durant in almost every statistical measure except scoring. James has accumulated more points in five more years in the league, sure, but Durant averages better numbers for his career. James has averaged 27.0 points per game for 22 seasons so far, while Durant has averaged 27.2 points per game in 17 seasons played in the NBA. Advertisement If Durant plays as long as James has played, then he would potentially surpass his all-time record. However, that would also require him to be consistent for that duration. At age 36, Durant is only four years younger than James but two seasons behind in parallel (James started playing at 18 while Durant was 20 years old). But James is about to play another season in the NBA, at least. Do you think Durant could play until age 43 to beat James' record? ‘It'll always be love': Jalen Green understanding and unsurprised after trade from Houston

'It's for the better of the team,' former Rockets guard Jalen Green tells the Houston Chronicle's Danielle Lerner. 'I know it's a business at the end of the day.' Despite being traded by the Houston Rockets after four seasons with the team, Jalen Green insists there are no hard feelings with the city. After catching up with Green at the NBA's 2025 summer league in Las Vegas, Houston Chronicle beat writer Danielle Lerner reports: While in Las Vegas, Green said he planned to meet up with some former Rockets teammates including Jabari Smith Jr. And just as he emphasized in his heartfelt farewell post on Instagram, Green wanted to stress that there's no bad blood between him and the city he once called home. 'I love H-Town,' Green said. 'It'll always be love in Houston.' Green was watching his new team, the Phoenix Suns, in Friday night's game. While there, he told Lerner that the trade package for Kevin Durant — a perennial NBA All-Star and future Hall of Famer — wasn't a surprise. 'Yeah, I had a feeling. They've been trying to trade me since last year,' Green told the Houston Chronicle. 'I'm not tripping. It's for the better of the team. I know it's a business at the end of the day. I really can't handle how I feel. Whatever happens, happens. At the end of the day, I still got the opportunity to play basketball.' Green's interview with Lerner represented his first public comments since the deal, which was agreed to on June 22. He was notified by Rockets general manager Rafael Stone that morning. The initial Durant agreement included Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 overall draft pick in the 2025 first round, and five future second-round selections. Before the deal was finalized, it was expanded to also include the Atlanta Hawks and a sign-and-trade for veteran center Clint Capela. Ultrarunner, 60, dies after collapsing during 102-mile mountain race in Colorado

A seasoned ultrarunner from Michigan died after she collapsed during an arduous 102-mile footrace through a series of steep mountain passes in Colorado Friday. Elaine Stypula, 60, fell just three hours into the Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run in Silverton, according to a press release from the San Juan County Sheriff's Office. Authorities and Silverton Medical Rescue found Stypula on the 'steep, rugged, remote' Little Giant Trail near Gold Lake, which is part of the grueling course, Silverton Medical Rescue said. The Farmington Hills, Mich., resident was so far off the beaten path that authorities could only drive within a quarter mile of her location before trekking the rest on foot, they added. 3 Elaine Stypula, 60, died during the Hardrock Endurance Race in Colorado on Friday. Instagram/@aesizzleultra Emergency personnel tried to resuscitate Stypula, but she was pronounced dead at 10:27 a.m., Silverton Medical Rescue said. The Hardrock Endurance Run is a two-day ultramarathon that takes competitors through Lake City, Ouray, Telluride, and Ophir before returning to Silverton, according to its website. 3 The Hardrock typically takes 40 hours to complete, according to the race's website. Hardrock Hundred Racers follow a clockwise course through the key sites, and hike a total of 13 major passes over 12,000 feet in elevation. Of them all, the highest point clocks in at Handies Peak, boasting a 14,048-foot summit. It's unclear if Stypula's collapse was spurred by the high elevation. The average competitor takes 40 hours to complete the entire ultramarathon, according to the run's website. 3 Stypula was a seasoned marathoner who raced all over the world. Instagram/@esizzleultra 'We are deeply saddened to share that a beloved member of our Hardrock Hundred Mile Endurance Run family has passed away during this year's event. Our hearts are with their family, friends, and fellow runners as we grieve this tremendous loss,' Hardrock wrote on its website. 'We are committed to caring for runners, crews, volunteers, and all members of our community through the event's duration and beyond.' Beyond being a passionate marathoner, Stypula worked as a family attorney, according to her Instagram. She previously participated in the Transalpine Run, the Paris Marathon, the Brooklyn Marathon and the Death Valley Trail Marathon. She also scaled Mont Blanc, Mount Rainier and even the Alps, according to her Instagram. Stypula qualified for the Hardrock Endurance Race in 2022, according to Instagram. She ran in 2018 as well, but did not finish, per her ultra-marathon profile.
