Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade React To Report They Were Released By WWE For Being Lazy
Gigi Dolin and Cora Jade were two of the multiple WWE Superstars to be released by WWE on May 1. In a follow-up report, F4WOnline.com's Dave Meltzer shared feedback provided to him by a source inside WWE. This source claimed many of the cuts were due to talent who were viewed as 'not working hard in training.'

'Many of those cuts were perceived as not working hard in training. And if you don't work hard in training, there's so many people who do. And at this point, if the feeling is you're not working hard in training – I saw the term 'lazy' – the ones who are lazy are gonna be gone, and the ones who didn't stand out are gonna be gone,' Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio.
Gigi Dolin doesn't want to ever hear someone say she didn't work hard enough
Gigi Dolin took issue with this view, reacting to an aggregated quote of Meltzer's with the following response:
'When I wasn't traveling to work for either of the two companies I was working for, I trained very hard 3-4 days a week. Bumping my ass off and doing cardio drills with one of the best/toughest coaches I've worked with,' she wrote. 'And worked out every single day. With live events every other weekend. So yeah I don't wanna hear this lol. The way my body feels says otherwise.'

Cora Jade also replied to Dolin's post, claiming she was still body-shamed despite all of the hard work they had put in.
'This, plus can't forget having to go to my own gym outside of work after 'strength and conditioning' that wasn't doing anything for me other than get me body shamed by my bosses, coworkers, and fans

crazy!' Cora wrote.
Gigi Dolin will once again use her 'Priscilla Kelly' name when her WWE non-compete clause ends. Cora Jade will be using her 'Elayna Black' name she used before WWE.

Spotify takes a swing at gaming with a mini golf game ahead of ‘Happy Gilmore 2' release
Netflix and Spotify have teamed up to launch a golf-inspired game as a way to promote 'Happy Gilmore 2,' the sequel to Adam Sandler's 1996 comedy film, which premieres on Netflix this Friday, July 25. This partnership represents a new venture for Spotify, as the company has never teamed up with another company to create a gaming experience within its app before. Gaming is an area Spotify has largely overlooked, so working with the streaming giant is notable, even if only for a promotional campaign as it could serve as a test to see if consumers resonated with the experience. Since the game is tied to a beloved cult classic, it also presents a unique opportunity to boost engagement. Spotify says it developed the game in partnership with MiK Studio. Image Credits:Spotify The new mini-game, titled Happy Gilmore 2 Tournament, is available exclusively within the Spotify app. To play, users must perfect their golf swing by tilting their device as they aim to complete all three holes. The game also offers a unique audio-visual experience, featuring audio clips from the movie when users complete each round, along with a personalized playlist of 'happy' tracks curated specifically for the user. Players can also discover Easter eggs, such as Happy's boots, his signature hockey stick, and an alligator. At the end of the experience, users can watch the official 'Happy Gilmore 2' trailer and share their personalized playlist and final score on social media. That game, released in 2023, was called 'Eat This Playlist' and was a variation of the classic Snake arcade game where players control a growing snake and avoid obstacles.

Top AEW Superstar Dealing With Serious Injury
Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. AEW star Will Ospreay has confirmed that he is dealing with a legitimate and serious neck injury. On the July 23rd episode of AEW Dynamite, Ospreay made his first appearance since the All In pay-per-view to deliver a difficult and honest update on his health. In an emotional in-ring promo segment with Tony Schiavone, Ospreay revealed the nature of the injury. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has since confirmed that the injury is legitimate and not part of a storyline. Ospreay told the live crowd that he has been struggling with neck issues for about ten months but has been keeping the pain to himself. After being taken to the emergency room following the attack at All In, an MRI revealed the severity of the damage. He announced that he has two herniated discs (C2 and C6) that are pushing into his spinal cord. Despite the serious nature of the diagnosis, Ospreay offered a glimmer of hope. Ospreay said that doctors have told him the ailments are treatable and that he hopes to be ready to compete at next month's AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door event in his home country of England. Courtesy of AEW More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match Neck injuries are among the most feared in professional wrestling, often altering or ending careers. The news is especially concerning given Ospreay's breathtaking, high-impact in-ring style. Known as the "Aerial Assassin," his matches are a whirlwind of acrobatic, high-risk maneuvers that put immense strain on his neck and spine. For years, fans and critics have marveled at his ability to perform moves like the Stormbreaker and the OsCutter, while also worrying about the long-term physical toll. This injury appears to be the unfortunate result of that punishing style. AEW is using the brutal storyline attack from the All In: Texas pay-per-view as the on-screen explanation for the injury. At the event, after Ospreay had already competed in a grueling tag team match, he got involved in the main event. He was then attacked by the Death Riders faction, with Claudio Castagnoli stomping his head through a steel chair. The violent angle wrote Ospreay off television and now serves as the justification for his real-life injury. After his promo on Dynamite, his All In tag team partner, Swerve Strickland, came out to the stage to embrace him in a sign of support. The wrestling world now wishes one of its best performers a full and speedy recovery. More WWE News: For more on WWE, head to Newsweek Sports.
