Hours later, 12 people were killed by an Israeli strike on a market in Gaza City, including a prominent hospital consultant, Ahmad Qandil, Palestinian media reported. The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the attack.

Gaza Humanitarian Foundation says 2 US aid workers hurt in grenade attack
The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation said on Saturday that two American aid workers had suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a grenade attack at a food distribution site in Khan Younis. UN records over 600 Gaza killings near aid distribution points, humanitarian convoys
Israeli air strikes killed 15 Palestinians in Gaza early on Friday, while a hospital said another 20 people died in shootings while waiting for aid. In a message to Associated Press, Shamdasani said that of the total tallied, 509 killings were 'GHF-related', meaning at or near its distribution sites. 'Information keeps coming in,' she added.
