Andhra Pradesh government spent ₹300 crore on International Yoga Day event for publicity, alleges YSRCP
YSR Congress Party leader Gudivada Amarnath alleged that the government has spent ₹300 crore on the International Yoga Day event purely for propaganda and publicity, putting students, public and women through severe inconvenience. He also alleged that tribal students were brought the previous day without proper care and they faced serious hardships.
Addressing the media during a press conference at the party office on Sunday, he said, 'The event was conducted with the aim of entering the Guinness Book of Records, while Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Babu already holds a record for cheating people.'
The YSRCP leader alleged that Mr. Naidu has been securing funds for Amaravati, while the North Andhra region is completely neglected and used merely for his publicity stunts. It was only during the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's tenure that North Andhra saw real development, he stated.
'Yuvatha Poru'
Mr. Amarnath also said that the YSRCP would organise protests in the name of 'Yuvatha Poru' on June 23 against the NDA government for failing to implement the promise of providing 20 lakh jobs and payment of unemployment stipend. The YSRCP will also submit representations at all the Collector offices as part of the protests, he said.
He also alleged that the NDA government is resorting to diversion politics as it has failed to implement the poll promises, especially the creation of jobs and provision of ₹3,000 stipend to the unemployed, after it assumed office. He appealed to the people to make the 'Yuvatha Poru' protest a grand success.

AIMIM To Join Team Opposition In Bihar Polls? What Asaduddin Owaisi Said
New Delhi: As the political temperature in Bihar rises months ahead of the Assembly polls, the NDA and the Opposition camp are holding frenetic negotiations over seat-sharing. Against this backdrop, AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi has said he does not want an NDA government in Bihar and the party has spoken to leaders in the RJD-Congress Mahagathbandhan on the alliance subject. The Hyderabad MP pointed out that "nothing came out" of similar attempts in the last election. The Congress has, in the past, accused the AIMIM of being the BJP's 'B team' and said its contesting polls indirectly helps the BJP. It is also significant that Mr Owaisi's support base in the minority community can potentially upset the Muslim-Yadav combination RJD relies on. Also, Mr Owaisi had gained huge popularity over his public remarks in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor and this can potentially benefit the AIMIM in this election. In an interview with news agency ANI, Mr Owaisi said AIMIM's Bihar unit chief Akhtarul Iman has spoken to leaders of Mahagathbandhan. "Our state president, Akhtarul Iman, has spoken to some leaders in the Mahagathbandhan, and he has categorically stated that we do not want the BJP or NDA to come back in power in Bihar. Now it is up to these political parties that want to prevent the NDA from returning to power in Bihar. Five years ago, I had also tried it personally. Nothing came out of it." "This time, our state president is trying. But it is up to them. We will be contesting elections in Seemanchal and outside Seemanchal also. If they are not ready, I am ready to contest everywhere. Wait for the time to come. It is too early to announce the exact number (of seats)," he said. In the 2020 polls, AIMIM surprised by winning five of the 20 seats it contested. Four of its MLAs later joined RJD, but the poll performance still showed the party had gained political heft in Bihar. The AIMIM contesting separately has the potential to harm the Opposition alliance by splitting the minority vote, a key factor in the election. The BJP-JDU is looking to retain power in the upcoming polls, as smaller allies such as Chiraj Paswan's LJP (Ram Vilas) are posturing to crack a good seat-sharing deal. The RJD and the Congress, on the other hand, will be looking to return to power. Jan Suraaj, a political front led by former poll strategist Prashant Kishor, is also in the fight this time.

YSRCP urges SP to follow HC orders allowing Tadipatri former MLA to visit his home
A delegation of YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders met Anantapur Superintendent of Police P. Jagadeesh and sought implementation of High Court orders which permitted former MLA Kethireddy Pedda Reddy to visit his residence in Tadipatri. Led by Anantapur district president Ananta Venkatarami Reddy, Mr. Pedda Reddy and others, the delegation submitted a representation to the SP on Monday (June 30), a day after police forcibly shifted the former MLA to Anantapur from his residence in Tadipatri. Speaking after meeting the SP, Mr. Venkatarami Reddy said the YSRCP has taken up a program 'Recalling Chandrababu Manifesto' in every Assembly constituency to expose the failure of the NDA government to implement its pre-poll promises. 'We want to take up the programme in Tadipatri also and the police should allow us to do it,' he said. Mr. Venkatarami Reddy said the government is resorting to vindictive politics and anarchy is prevailing in Tadipatri. 'If there are any restrictions on Mr. Pedda Reddy visiting Tadipatri, the police should give it in writing,' he demanded. Mr. Pedda Reddy said the High Court has issued orders to provide necessary security for his visit to Tadipatri two months back but the same were not being implemented. 'Though Tadipatri Municipal chairperson Prabhakar Reddy is issuing warnings and making provocative statements and attacking my supporters, the police are not taking any action against the TDP leaders,' he said. Mr. Pedda Reddy further said that there used to be a peaceful atmosphere in Tadipatri while he was an MLA.

After the program, the chief minister said that the Prime Minister has inspired the countrymen with important topics like yoga, social unity, service spirit and women empowerment. The chief minister said that under PM Modi's leadership, India has got a distinct identity at the global level. "The International Yoga Day, organised on June 21, once again demonstrated that yoga has made its special identity not only in India but all over the world. He expressed pride in the achievements of the country being declared trachoma-free by the World Health Organisation and bringing 64 per cent of the population under social security in the report of the International Labour Organisation," CM Dhami said. The chief minister stated that under the able leadership of the Prime Minister, the country has achieved significant progress in the areas of health and social security. He appreciated the collective service highlighted in "Mann Ki Baat", the spirit of meeting during religious pilgrimages and the initiative to promote local products. He said that this program embodies the ideal of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' and urged the people of the state to adopt these messages in their daily routine and make Uttarakhand a proud part of self-reliant and prosperous India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday in his 'Mann Ki Baat' address lauded "Women Led Development" initiatives, noting the remarkable achievements which are through enterprise, self-reliance and innovation are shaping a New India. Addressing the 123rd episode of his monthly radio address, the Prime Minister highlighted that women labourers from Telangana's Bhadrachalam who used to toil in the fields to eke out their daily livelihood are now making products that reach markets from Hyderabad to London. PM Modi said that those pads were distributed to nearby schools and offices at a very low price. He noted that these women joined a Self-Help Group and received training for the same. "The mantra of 'Women Led Development' is ready to create a new future for India. Our mothers, sisters, and daughters are today lending a new direction not only for themselves but for the entire society. You will also feel good when you come to know about the success of the women of Bhadrachalam in Telangana. These women once worked as labourers in the fields. They used to work hard all day for their livelihoods," PM Modi said during the Mann ki Baat programme. The Prime Minister also spoke about how women from Karnataka's Kalaburagi have created a "jowar" roti brand. They produce over 3,000 rotis daily through a cooperative, which are now not limited to villages but are sold in Bengaluru and via online food platforms, he said. "The achievement of the women of Kalaburgi in Karnataka is also excellent. They have made jowar roti a brand. In the cooperative that they have formed, more than 3000 rotis are being made every day. The aroma of these rotis is no longer limited to the village. A special counter has been opened in Bengaluru. Orders are coming in over online food platforms. Kalaburgi roti is now reaching the kitchens of big cities. This has had a great impact on these women; their income is increasing," PM Modi said. The Prime Minister also mentioned a story of "self-confidence" and "self-reliance" from Madhya Pradesh's Balaghat. Suma Uike, who has received training in mushroom farming and animal husbandry, joined the Self Help Group and has increased her income and also expanded her work. "These stories from different states have different faces. But their glow is the same. This is the glow of self-confidence, of self-reliance. One such face is Suma Uike from Madhya Pradesh. Suma Ji's efforts are very commendable. She took training in mushroom farming and animal husbandry by joining the Self Help Group in Katangi block of Balaghat district. Thus, she found her path to self-reliance. When Suma Uike's income increased, she also expanded her work. This journey that started with a tiny effort has now expanded to 'Didi Canteen' and 'Thermal Therapy Centre'. In every corner of the country, countless such women are changing their fate and that of the country," PM Modi said.
