Jeremy Strong in talks to play Zuckerberg in The Social Network Part II

Jeremy Strong is emerging as the front-runner to play Facebook founder and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network Part II, Deadline has learned.
While no official offer has been made, sources confirm that Strong is currently the top choice for the role in the upcoming Sony project.
This potential casting follows Deadline's earlier report that The Bear star Jeremy Allen White and actress Mikey Madison are also in talks for key roles, with White likely portraying Wall Street Journal journalist Jeff Horowitz and Madison as the whistleblower behind the explosive Facebook Files series.
The film, written and directed by Aaron Sorkin, is being developed as a spiritual successor—not a direct sequel—to 2010's The Social Network, which earned Sorkin an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. Jesse Eisenberg previously portrayed Zuckerberg in the original film and received an Oscar nomination for his performance.
This new installment will center around the WSJ's 2021 investigative series The Facebook Files, which revealed disturbing internal practices and ethical concerns within the tech giant. Sorkin reportedly spent years exploring possible angles before settling on this narrative, which focuses on the darker consequences of Facebook's global reach.
Produced by Todd Black, Peter Rice, Stuart Besser, and Sorkin himself, The Social Network Part II aims to offer a sobering look into the social, political, and psychological fallout of Meta's influence.
Strong is represented by WME and Range Media Partners.

‘The Holiday' limited series adaptation reportedly in development at Apple TV+

Apple TV+ is developing a limited series adaptation of the beloved 2006 romantic comedy The Holiday, according to Variety and Deadline. The project, which is currently in early development, will reimagine the premise of the original film while introducing a new cast of characters. As with the Nancy Meyers-directed film, the upcoming series will follow two women — one American and one British — who swap homes over the Christmas season and unexpectedly find love. Unlike the movie, however, the series will not follow the original characters portrayed by Kate Winslet, Cameron Diaz, Jude Law, and Jack Black. Krissie Ducker (Killing Eve, Sweetpea) is attached to write and executive produce the show, with Rob Delaney (Catastrophe) also contributing as a writer. The series is being produced by Left Bank Pictures. Notably, Nancy Meyers, who wrote, directed, and produced the 2006 hit, is not involved in the TV adaptation. Casting is currently underway. Should the team secure the right talent, the show is expected to receive an official greenlight from the streamer. The original film was a box office success, grossing over $200 million globally. Over time, The Holiday has gained cult status, often cited as a go-to comfort film during the holiday season. The movie featured Winslet as Iris, a London-based journalist, and Diaz as Amanda, a Los Angeles businesswoman. Their decision to swap homes during the holidays led them to cross paths with Graham (Law) and Miles (Black), forming the film's central romantic arcs. Ducker is represented by Independent Talent Group and Black Bear. She began her career as a writer's assistant on Catastrophe, which Delaney co-created and starred in alongside Sharon Horgan.

Kardashians react to Anthony Hopkins' comedic SKIMS video channeling Hannibal Lecter

Kim Kardashian's latest SKIMS product, the Seamless Sculpt Face Wrap, has gone viral — and even attracted the attention of legendary actor Sir Anthony Hopkins. The Oscar winner, 87, sparked a wave of online buzz after posting a humorous Instagram video in which he wore the face wrap and impersonated his iconic Silence of the Lambs character, Dr. Hannibal Lecter. The $48 SKIMS face wrap, made with sculpting fabric and collagen-infused yarns, is designed to support the jawline. Despite selling out shortly after release, it received mixed reactions online, with many comparing its appearance to the infamous cannibal character played by Hopkins in the 1991 thriller. Hopkins joined in on the joke by donning the product and channeling his creepy film persona, saying, 'Hello, Kim. I'm already feeling 10 years younger,' before mimicking Lecter's signature slurping noise. He captioned the post with a playful warning: 'Don't be afraid to come over for dinner.' The video quickly gained popularity, with fans praising Hopkins for his sense of humor. Comments ranged from 'This could be the best Instagram post ever made' to 'Great actor with a great sense of humor!' Kim Kardashian, 44, responded to the clip on her Instagram Stories, writing, 'I'M SCREAMING!!!!!' Her sister Khloé Kardashian and their mother, Kris Jenner, also shared the video and reacted similarly, with Khloé echoing Kim's reaction and Kris adding a series of laughing emojis. -Instagram. The viral moment highlights both the internet's playful response to SKIMS' unconventional designs and Hopkins' willingness to lean into his cinematic legacy for a laugh. Kardashian has yet to comment beyond her enthusiastic repost, but the brand's buzz shows no signs of slowing.

Netflix explores 'KPop Demon Hunters' sequels, live-action remake and spin-offs after record success

Netflix is reportedly planning an expansive future for KPop Demon Hunters, following its status as the platform's most-watched original animated film to date. According to The Wrap, the streaming service is in discussions to develop two sequels, aiming to establish a complete trilogy. Released in June 2025, the animated film follows Kpop girl group HUNTR/X as they battle supernatural threats while maintaining their pop stardom. Since its debut, the characters and their music have become global hits, with the fictional group and their in-universe rivals, the Saja Boys, gaining real-world popularity. Beyond sequels, Netflix is also considering a television series, a short film, a live stage musical, and a live-action adaptation. The platform reportedly views the film as its own version of Disney's Frozen, suggesting ambitions for a multimedia franchise. Merchandise sales have already surged, and the film is regarded as an early contender for the Best Animated Feature Oscar in 2026. While the co-directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans have not yet confirmed involvement in any follow-ups, Kang noted in a previous interview with ScreenRant that there are "a lot of pockets that we can explore," hinting at further storylines not fully addressed in the first film. Despite the live-action remake being somewhat at odds with Netflix's praise of the original as an 'original animation – not a sequel, not a live-action remake,' the commercial success of similar projects may be influencing the platform's direction.
