The Indiana Fever have suffered through a rough start to the 2025 WNBA season compared to what had been expected from them. Caitlin Clark has suffered the same fate thanks to multiple different injury issues.
Even now, Clark remains out due to injuring her groin once again just before the All-Star break. She has only played in 13 games this season of the 25 the Fever have played as a team.
As of right now, the team has not given any timetable for a potential return to the court form Clark.

"The team can confirm that no additional injuries or damage were discovered through the evaluations," the statement read. "Clark will continue working with the Fever medical team on her recovery and rehabilitation, with the priority on her long-term health and well-being. There is no timetable available for Clark's return, and no additional details will be provided at this time. Any further updates will be shared as they become available."
Despite there being no official timeline for Clark to return to the court, ESPN has revealed when it believes she'll be back and playing for the Fever again.
On their WNBA injuries page, ESPN has listed August 12 as a potential return date for Clark. If that does end up becoming accurate, Clark would make her return against Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings at home.
Throughout the 13 games she has been able to play this season, Clark has seen her numbers decrease. That should be expected though, as she has been playing through nagging injury issues.

In the 13 games she has played, Clark has averaged 16.5 points per game to go along with 8.8 assists, five rebounds, and 1.6 steals. She has also shot 36.7 percent from the floor and has connected on 27.9 percent of her three-point attempts.
Obviously, it hasn't been the MVP-caliber season that many fans and analysts were expecting from Clark. The hope is simply that she can get healthy and back on the court to help Indiana pursue a run in the playoffs.
Expect to hear more about the Fever superstar in the near future. For now, ESPN's projected return date gives Indiana fans hope.

Recapping sixth practice of Packers training camp: Matthew Golden shines

The Green Bay Packers were without three different players on offense to begin Tuesday's padded practice, but Matt LaFleur's team welcomed back Elgton Jenkins to 11-on-11 work and got a few brilliant moments from rookie Matthew Golden, who continues to show up in a big way to start his first training camp in Green Bay. Recapping Day 6 of Packers training camp practices: Injury updates Receiver Dontayvion Wicks has a new calf injury and didn't practice. Running back MarShawn Lloyd injured his groin during Monday's practice and didn't participate Tuesday. The Packers believe Lloyd suffered a soft-tissue injury before he was hit by Nate Hobbs on Monday. Left guard Aaron Banks, who had a back injury last week, didn't practice, suggesting he really is day to day. Rookie receiver Savion Williams departed practice early. Big things to know While Jordan Morgan replaced Aaron Banks at left guard, Elgton Jenkins took his first 11-on-11 snaps of training camp at center. The Packers are easing him back into the mix, but Jenkins is progressing. It's getting more and more difficult to temper expectations for Matthew Golden. On a 1-on-1 rep versus Carrington Valentine, Golden made a big-time adjustment of an underthrown deep ball and made the contested catch. Later, he got behind the coverage of the starting defense and caught a long touchdown pass from Jordan Love in 11-on-11. Love also found him on a crosser under pressure, and he drew two different penalty flags against coverage. The rookie is looking increasingly more impressive during the first week of camp. Lukas Van Ness beat Jordan Morgan twice in pass-rushing 1-on-1s. Per Rob Demovsky of ESPN, Van Ness is 3-0 in the drill to start training camp. And the 2023 first-round pick has been active in 11-on-11 periods. Positive early signs. Rookie defensive lineman Nazir Stackhouse continues to make noise. Twice during team periods, he produced a "sack" of the quarterback. The undrafted rookie has made notable plays during three straight practices. Signs of improvement are also showing up for Ty'Ron Hopper, who had another active practice. Xavier McKinney had a pick of Jordan Love in a team period. Can Luke Musgrave be a playmaker in Year 3? He had a good round of 1-on-1s against Javon Bullard. Matt LaFleur pulled Rasheed Walker and made him run a lap late in the practice, and he was not happy in his post-practice huddle. It's possible an intense, physical practice got a little too intense and physical late. Matt LaFleur press conference Brian Gutekunst press conference What's next A well-earned day off on Wednesday. The Packers return to the practice field on Thursday for the first of three straight days of practice, culminating in Family Night at Lambeau Field on Saturday night.

MLB Insider Predicts Yankees Trade For Diamondbacks' $13.5M All-Star

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Baseball season is heating up, but the New York Yankees have cooled off dramatically. Sitting at 22-28 in their last 50 games, the Yankees have turned a seven-game lead in the American League East into a 5 1/2-game deficit. They're now missing superstar Aaron Judge for what they hope is only about 10 games, and their pitching staff is shorthanded. By the Thursday trade deadline, the Yankees have to add pitching reinforcements if they want any shot at defending their AL pennant from last season. PHOENIX, ARIZONA - MARCH 29: Zac Gallen #23 greets starting pitcher Merrill Kelly #29 of the Arizona Diamondbacks after Kelly was removed from the game during the seventh inning against the Colorado Rockies at Chase... PHOENIX, ARIZONA - MARCH 29: Zac Gallen #23 greets starting pitcher Merrill Kelly #29 of the Arizona Diamondbacks after Kelly was removed from the game during the seventh inning against the Colorado Rockies at Chase Field on March 29, 2024 in Phoenix, Arizona. MoreThat's why one insider foresees the Yankees acquiring a former All-Star starting pitcher with World Series experience. On Tuesday, Jim Bowden of The Athletic predicted that the Yankees would bring Arizona Diamondbacks starter Zac Gallen to New York ahead of the 6 p.m. ET Thursday deadline. "The Yankees solved their third-base situation with the trade for Ryan McMahon, then added infielder Amed Rosario, who provides versatility and a good bat versus lefties (.829 OPS)," wrote Bowden. "Now, they are focused on acquiring a starting pitcher and a reliever or two. They will not trade outfielder Spencer Jones or shortstop George Lombard Jr., but are open-minded about swapping their other top prospects in the right deal." Gallen, who turns 30 on Sunday, is a huge reason the Diamondbacks are surprise sellers at this deadline. He's got a brutal 5.60 ERA this season, in large part because he's given up a National League-high 23 home runs. Plus, Gallen is expensive, which might actually work in the Yankees' favor. He'd be owed the remainder of his $13.5 million salary by the acquiring team, though one figures most contenders are prepared to add a bit of payroll. The real question is whether or not the Yankees think the 2023 All-Star who shined in the World Series that year is still hidden among the peripheral stats.
