According to the post, the new smart glasses could incorporate a touch-sensitive bar on the left side of the frame, expectedly allowing users to interact with the device using simple finger gestures. A two-finger tap, for instance, might trigger the camera to capture photos or video.
Adding a futuristic twist to the control system, Meta is also rumoured to include a companion wearable dubbed the Ceres wristband. This eMG (electromyography) band reportedly uses sensors around the wrist to detect muscle signals, enabling users to control the glasses through intuitive gestures such as pinching or rotating the wrist. Swipe and tap-touch interactions are also said to be supported. Although handwriting recognition is reportedly in testing via the wristband, it may not be ready in time for the product's official launch.
Interestingly, the leaked firmware for the smart glasses appears to include a built-in mini-game titled Hypertrail. Inspired by the classic 1981 arcade shooter Galaga, the game hints at Meta's attempt to inject a playful, interactive element into its wearable tech.
The smart glasses are expected to run on a heavily modified version of Android and may feature a single display positioned in the lower right corner of the right lens. Pricing is expected to range between $1,000 (approximately โน 85,600) and $1,400 (around โน 1,19,800) in the United States.

WhatsApp to add โQuick Recap' feature to summarise multiple chats at once, report says
Meta is working on bringing a slew of new AI-powered features to WhatsApp. One of these is a recap feature called Quick Recap, which will give users a quick summary of unread messages. According to WhatsApp feature tracker WABetaInfo, this feature is currently under development and was spotted in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android (2.25.21.12).Though the feature is not yet available to beta testers, the report suggests that Quick Recap is aimed at improving how users navigate through lengthy or multiple chat threads. The feature is reportedly being built on WhatsApp's earlier message summaries feature, which allows users to get an overview of unread messages in a single conversation. This summary feature is currently available in the back to the new Quick Recap feature, it is reportedly said to be a bit more enhanced than the summary feature. It will enable users to select up to five chats simultaneously and receive a concise, AI-generated summary of key messages from each conversation. It is said to be designed to help users save the time and effort of scrolling through endless message threads, especially after being away from the app for a to access this feature As per the screenshot of the feature shared by WABetaInfo, to access Quick Recap, users will be able to go to the Chats tab, choose multiple conversations, tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner, and select the Quick Recap option. Once activated, Meta's in-house AI will process unread messages and produce a summarised version of what's been discussed โ offering a quick and clean way to catch concerns The report notes that the Quick Recap feature is integrated with Meta's Private Processing technology, which promises a privacy-first approach that ensures user messages remain confidential even during AI processing. Meta earlier noted that its Private Processing uses end-to-end encryption, secure enclaves, and isolated computation to protect data. As a result, neither WhatsApp nor Meta can view the original messages or the generated summaries. The AI never processes readable data outside the secure enclave, safeguarding content even during feature Additionally, the report noted that this new Quick Recap feature will be completely optional for users. It will need to be enabled manually through Settings and won't be turned on by default. Any chats protected by WhatsApp's Advanced Chat Privacy settings will automatically be excluded from the availability expected soon As for availability, the Quick Recap feature is currently available only in preview via the Android beta channel. Iconic Kinetic DX to make a comeback in India on July 28, to come as an electric scooter
Kinetic DX is one of the iconic scooters in India that is ready to make a comeback in the country, and this time in a pure electric guise. The Kinetic Green DX is slated for debut on July 28, 2025. This is going to be Kinetic's second attempt at reviving a legacy nameplate after the brand announced that it will bring the E-Luna, which will be an all-electric avatar of the iconic moped. While Kinetic has already patented the E-Luna in India ahead of the electric moped's slated launch in India during the festive season this year, the auto company has teased the DX electric scooter ahead of its debut next Monday. The original Kinetic DX scooter was built between 1984 and 2007 by a joint venture between India's Kinetic Engineering and Japan's Honda Motor Company. The Kinetic DX was actually based on the Honda NH Series scooters and powered by a 98 cc two-stroke, air-cooled engine. However, the new one will be a complete departure from that as it will come as an all-electric model instead. Kinetic Green, a subsidiary of the Kinetic Group, had recently submitted the design patent for the new DX electric scooter. The design patent application of the EV reveals a striking resemblance to the original Kinetic Honda DX. Visually, it looks almost identical, except for the new Kinetic Green logo on the front apron and a rectangular LED headlamp cluster that gets the same design but with fresh LED DRLs. Side panels have been changed to look like the original model, and the rear profile comes with a new grab rail, as compared to the spare tyre, which used to be found on the original model. The 'Kinetic' logo is displayed on the flyscreen of the design patent, as compared to the 'Kinetic Honda' on the original scooter. Kinetic has kept the technical details under wraps. However, expect the model to be a family-focused EV with a good blend of performance and range. There are no details on the launch of the EV as of now, but we look forward to Kinetic releasing more information in the near future.
