Swarnandhra 2047 document unit is best in all sectors
The unit has been established at the District Chief Planning Office within the Collectorate. Following the inauguration, the Collector participated in a virtual launch event conducted from Amaravati by the Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu.
Joint Collector Abhishek Kumar, CPO Vijay Kumar, and other district officials also attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, District Collector TS Chethan said that in line with a developed India, unit offices have been set up in all assembly constituencies to achieve the goals of the Swarna Andhra 2047 Vision Document. He described this as a significant step forward across all sectors. Vision documents have already been prepared at the district, constituency, mandal, and secretariat levels.
He further added that the documents not only outline the developmental goals to be achieved in the next five years but also the long-term development targets to be met by 2047. The action plan focuses on increasing the income of the common people, creating employment opportunities, providing essential infrastructure, and other developmental aspects.
The Collector praised Naidu as a visionary leader whose vision plan is expected to yield great results in the future. He also mentioned that the foundation for this initiative has been laid within a year, and each constituency has been assigned a team of five members to implement it.
He noted that the P4 policy is a key strategy to eliminate inequalities.

UDF to lead Collectorate march against airport CER fund diversion
Residents from panchayats near Calicut International Airport, Karipur, will take out a march to the Collectorate here on Saturday (July 5) to protest against the alleged misuse of the airport's Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER) funds. The United Democratic Front (UDF) will lead the protest, alleging that the CER funds were diverted to a senior citizen model village at Dharmadom in Kannur district, instead of being used for the originally proposed projects in Kondotty municipality and Pallikkal grama panchayat. The Karipur airport's overflowing rainwater has been endangering homes and drinking water sources in the nearby areas. To tackle this problem, the Minor Irrigation department had proposed a ₹3.5 crore project to build a stormwater drainage system at Ayanikad, which would channel the water into the Cherla stream. A ₹1.27-crore project was also proposed for infrastructure development at GMLP School, Karipur. Both projects had received the District Collector's approval. However, the CER funds were redirected to a project in Dharmadom, bypassing the local initiatives. Out of the airport's ₹10 crore CER fund, ₹9 crore has been allocated to a model village for senior citizens in Dharmadom, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's constituency. Local body officials from Pallikkal and Kondotty argue that this decision violates the CER guidelines, which mandate that 80% of funds be spent on environmental projects within 25 km of the airport. Dharmadom is 106 km away from Karipur. This distance has fuelled suspicions of political favouritism behind the allocation of ₹9 crore from the airport's CER fund. 'We urge the authorities to reverse this unjust decision and allocate the CER fund to eco-friendly projects that benefit local communities affected by the airport's issues,' said Kondotty municipal councillor P.K. Firos. Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) MLAs T.V. Ibrahim and P. Abdul Hameed, and District Congress Committee president V.S. Joy will address the protest march on Saturday.

AP sets new benchmark in governance
Addanki: Andhra Pradesh has established a new benchmark in good governance under the coalition government led by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu said Energy Minister Gottipati Ravi Kumar during the 'Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu' programme launch at Ballikurava of Addanki assembly constituency on Wednesday. Speaking to the public, the minister explained that the state government has implemented unprecedented welfare schemes, benefiting millions of citizens across various sectors. He said that 67 lakh students are receiving Rs 15,000 each under the 'Thalliki Vandanam' scheme, 64 lakh beneficiaries getting social security pensions worth Rs 34,000 crore annually, as the pension amounts increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000, with disabled persons receiving Rs 10,000 every month. He said that the government is providing three free gas cylinders under the Deepam-2 scheme. The minister informed that the administration is filling 16,300 teacher positions as promised during the election campaigns and working toward creating 20 lakh private sector jobs through various policy initiatives. He mentioned that the government has invested approximately Rs 50 crore in road construction within the Addanki constituency alone, including concrete and tar roads in rural areas. He emphasised the state's commitment to creating world-class infrastructure to attract investments. He said that the government is positioning Andhra Pradesh to compete with neighbouring states like Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, and Telangana in terms of development and investment attraction. He directed the officials to ensure seamless implementation of welfare schemes at the grassroots level and provide immediate solutions to beneficiary concerns.

Chandrababu to tour Kuppam for two days to promote development and governance
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu is set to visit his Kuppam constituency for a two-day programme aimed at promoting development initiatives and engaging with local residents. His visit will kick off today, with the finalised schedule detailing a series of events and activities. The Chief Minister is expected to arrive at the helipad in Tumsi, Shantipuram mandal at 12:30 PM today. Following his arrival, he will attend a public meeting at the premises of the AP Model School in Tumsi at 12:50 PM, where he is likely to address local issues and initiatives. Later, CM Naidu will oversee the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with various industry owners, as well as explore stalls set up by different government departments showcasing progress and offerings. At 4:30 PM, he will visit Thimmarajupalli in Shantipuram mandal, where he will embark on a door-to-door campaign to understand public grievances and convey information about government schemes and developments. He is scheduled to return to his residence in Kuppam at approximately 7:05 PM for the night. The following day, Thursday, CM Naidu will commence his activities at the Kuppam Area Hospital, inaugurating the Tata Digital Nerve Centre at 10:30 AM. He will then conduct official reviews at his residence around 12:15 PM and is expected to leave the helipad at Tummisi by 4:10 PM, returning to Bengaluru later in the day.
